or someone from the Rolling Stones
I know you are just using examples but this would be doubly suspicious since, to the best of my knowledge, all of the Rolling Stones are still alive. However, you might be able to convince me that some of them are demons incarnate lol
. (That was a joke! I certainly don't want to get sued.)
I only heard one story like that, that had a ring of truth to it. A man told of a near death experience when he was a teenager, where he was judged by a loving being (he could feel the great love), sent to hell, and cried out to Jesus to save him. He claimed that Jesus came to him and took him in His arms, and was rescuing him, when he woke up. Ironically, this man became a Roman Catholic priest and took a vow of poverty, so, so much for the financial gain angle.
I believe that most people who claim to have had near death experiences probably believe they are true. I think it is modern day media that blows these things out of proportion, trying mostly, I believe to debunk them. The argument concerning
just when we are going to Heaven I will leave to more astute minds than my own, but wouldn't it be ironic if these stories caused even a few souls to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior? It seems to me that we can never totally escape God's irony.
