Why are Christians so nasty to each other when they have different views?

I think it all comes down to talking too much.

Everyone seems to have different views on the Bible. Each person is fairly confident that his interpretation is correct. And to tell you the truth, most of the time, both sides of the argument are equally convincing. Arguments are not good because they tend to lead to degrading comments and personal attacks. Talking too often usually leads to arguments. Giving opinions also leads to arguments.


I've spent my entire life talking too much and have made myself into an idiot because of that. Even humor tends to get out of hand. I don't know how many people I've seen hurt "harmless jokes." I think the best thing to do is to be silent, be serious, be caring, and keep my opinions to myself.

A Spirit led life will be like Jesus,which is if physically abused or verbally abused do not physically or verbally abuse back,if struck on the cheek turn to them the other cheek,be harmless as doves and wise as serpents,if they do not listen to truth turn and walk away,do not argue with anybody for it is strife and God does not want strife,or anything that causes fighting among people.

The reason that some people who claim to be a Christian can be nasty to someone else,is because not everyone that claims to be a Christian is led of the Holy Spirit,so they are still a natural man,not spiritual,of the flesh,so they will fight with the other people as the world fights with other people over their different beliefs,which a chat room is a good example that is of a worldly subject,how they cut each other down and belittle each other over their different beliefs.


They have a form of godliness,sure they might go to Church,tell some people about Jesus,but they deny the Spirit leading them,and why,because they still want to hang unto some things of the flesh,giving the flesh control of them instead of the Spirit,and are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God,which means they still like riches,or drinking and smoking,watching television programs of a nature that God does not approve of,materialism,and the like,and they are ever learning but can never come to the truth that they have to abstain from things of the world by allowing the Spirit to lead them.


The people that fall under this category will argue with people,post things in a belittling manner towards people,and be basically kind of rude not showing the love of Jesus,because they want to hold unto some things of the flesh,in which the Spirit will not lead them because they are not willing to make the choice to represent goodness,and God will not twist their arm to comply,and only by the Spirit can they show the love that they should.

not like Christians are human just like everyone else is. everyone makes mistakes Christians aren't any different.

I know disagreement among Christians isn't funny, but sometimes I can't help but find it all a little bit humorous. We keep arguing why our interrpretation of the Bible is correct, when we can't even correctly interrpret each other. If we all knew each other personally, we'd probably get along great. Anyways, that's just my goofy, amateur opinion.

If a person acts like that,then they are led of the flesh,and are fighting over their belief like the world fights over their beliefs,at least temporarily.

The Bible says love does not act unseemingly,and Jesus even called Judas Iscariot friend after he betrayed Jesus.
