As a parent I also would not go to Disney, was in Europe for 3.5 years and did not go to Euro Disney either. I kind of agree with Imnotashamed with the fact although I do not know Walt's religious beliefs but I think he would be deeply disappointed in the way Disney does a lot of its business now. As far as the movies i always prescreen anything I have any doubt about. Narnia I can't see anything that bad about but like stated earlier the Harry Potter series my kids havent seen a one. Shark Tales I would not let them watch because I think it refrences to homosexuality. Anyhow although you cant stop supporting everything in the world, if they blatently flaunt thier support of evil then I will not support them. As a Christian i think part of being Christ like is to try to do as close to what you think Jesus would do if he was here as possible. On a last note the movies that get the dove approval, there are so many good ones that have good Christian messages and are very well made and great acting now Christians really have a choice to support good Christian movies instead of the hollywood filth.

Crazy... I saw shark tale 4 times and never noticed the gay fish... thats weird... which fish was gay???

Good point LitJD. Would Jesus have had a ride in a big tea cup ? No, he probably wouldn't have.

I figured out the pattern in Roarings posts. What you do is go to either this website:

http://www.av1611.org

or this one:

http://www.jesus-is-savior.com

Both look to be very sensationalist , over dramatized KJV-only websites.

And randomly select one topic, such as "The United States is in Deep Doodoo" or any other that takes your fancy.

Post a new discussion topic , copy and paste the content and pretend that you know something.

just an FYI... some of the movies refered to in the beginning were not disney movies :p and sharktale is from dreamworks... soooo... do the research before you attack a company.

Wow... Lion King and Tarzan are totally evil. I mean... Kids TOTALLY believe everything talking LIONS and APES say. because talking apes and lions know it all! they can carry a tune too! lol c'mon. kids maybe be young, and unexperienced... but even THEY know that talking animals are something to laugh about and enjoy... not to take seriously.

If we continue on this we'd have to stop kids from watching veggie tales too! cuz... u know... a cucumber has a suspicious shape.

*rolls eyes*

now i'm off to watch a harry potter marathon... then maybe some lord of the rings... followed by some narnia... you better pray for my soul cuz i'm totally going to be corrupted after all of that. *sarcasm*

Merryheart,

You have been a Christian for awhile, what do you think about practical sanctification for the believer?

nemo is totally wicked too... it's making fun of forgetful people! PFFFFFFFFT! we shouldn't laugh at the disabled! lol

this thread irritates me.

Maybe I'll go watch fairies flitter about out my window... or look for Lion Kings in the stars... or maybe I'll go talk to the ghosts hiding in my closet... because disney says... they must be real!

*dances away to the tune of "circle of life"*

Apparently practical sanctification means finding sensationalist over the top KJV-only websites, posting repeated warnings, dangers, alerts, and palming yourself off as a spiritual know-it-all and God-appointed warner to the body of Christ.

*lol* I thought as much. No personal revelation at all from the Holy Spirit behind all the religious rhetoric. I've felt it in my spirit for quite some time now which is why I started asking people to pray and fast to really see if their little crusade was truly the will of God or their own agenda. I guess we finally have our answer...

I do have to say on the lion king... where simba plops down in the dust.... as the dust flies away it spells the word sex lol......... it really does

I don't see the point of threads like this and the rock music one. What are we achieving?

These are all arguments that Christians have had before. I doubt whether people would be so convincing in a thread like this as to change someone's mind, so really we are just arguing about our opinions and the different ways we worship, and not achieving anything. I think everyone should read Romans 14.

I think threads like this should be deleted. I think they do more harm than good. We should remember that the things we say here may affect a person's view of Christianity, and what they would see here is alot of bickering.

What about the news and the weather people who predict it. TV is for entertainment and nothing more. It is and will always be about ratings. I have told many people that what you see on TV is only parts of the truth and if you take it for more that entertainment you are wrong. Also you can pick and choose what shows you want to watch. So if you want to expose tv shows expose yourself for having a tv in your home.
