I don’t worship the Bible. I worship God the Father.

How do you know God? Let me guess. You learned about Him from the bible. Right? But apparently, for you, only the parts of the bible that you think are true are true. Right?

That is not an excuse for Paul saying what he said.
LOL again...

Have you ever tried to understand what he was saying? The prophet's wives were disrupting services while their husbands were speaking. Therefore he told them to keep silent.

We know the Apostles never backslid or quit Jesus! Judas was replaced! 12 Apostles names are written on the foundation of New Jerusalem in Revelation! We can be sure that God trusted in these Apostles! The Apostles are more than prophets of the Old Testament. They are listed above prophets in the Scriptures. "They have Moses and the prophets." The whole Bible is based on scripture that men of God wrote. If you don't believe the Bible you really have no one Christian to talk to.
What about Peter? The same Peter who denied Jesus 3 times.

I think we're talking about two different things. I think we all agree that the apostles were human, and therefore made mistakes, right? Paul used to kill Christians. He stubbornly determined to go to Jerusalem even when it was God's will that he NOT go. (Acts 20:22ff) Peter denied Christ, Peter "was to be blamed" for keeping the gentiles under the law. (Gal 2:11)

But if we're talking about writing the bible, Peter and Paul, as well as James and John and every one else) were like every other writer of the bible. When they were writing, they were "holy men of God speaking as they were moved by holy spirit".

I believe the bible, as originally given, from Genesis through Revelation, is God's Word. Words from God to us.

Hi
It started out with apostles. Saul was not a apostle when he was killing Christians. We can agree on that.

I was making mention of Peter to make sure all knew they were humans and all fall short. The bible is God breathed and if one doesn't believe that then they are calling God a liar.

I think that no one would do any better than the Apostles (appointed as it were unto death.) Jesus chose the Apostles and what they wrote was under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit! Amen to that.

I disagree. Jesus told us to be just. Paul says women shouldn’t be allowed to speak in church. I think he was being unjust.
My friend I suggest you read the verse after when he said that....it might change your thought on that verse

it says you've always been Christian resurrection33 but I don't think that is possible. you have to first repent of your sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, babies or unborn children can't do that. you have the Holy Spirit inside you and show a transformed heart. can you tell me how it is possible to have always been Christian?

Hi Paul was speaking from what he lived in. When he lived it was more less like a Muslim world kinda like whats trying to take over now a days.
Jesus talked to the ladies. Loved them and treated them good.
Back in the old days everything was more man run. So the women were to learn from their husbands. The man was to teach his family.
Paul also speaks of women helping him and has good things to say of women.

It was not the apostles who wrote scripture, but God through the Holy Spirit. Paul, at the end of his life, called himself the cheif of sinners.

I do not worship the Bible.

God and Jesus, who I believe is God in flesh, are frequently quoted in the Bible, and their words must be obeyed, but I do not worship the Bible.

This is what Paul said:

[33] For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
[34] the women should keep silence in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says. 1 Cor 14:33-34 RSV

Read this:

[33] For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
[34] the women should keep silence in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says.
[35] If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.
[36] What! Did the word of God originate with you, or are you the only ones it has reached? 2 Cor 14: 33-36 RSV

[36] What! Did the word of God originate with you, or are you the only ones it has reached? 2 Cor 14: 33-36 RSV
Read this:

29) Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
30) If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
31) For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
32) And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
33) For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
34) Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
35) And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
36) What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

It's talking about the prophet's wives. They were being disruptive.

Resurrection....why don't you just rip everything what Paul wrote out your Bible?.....seeing that in your opinion Paul cannot be trusted...instead of arguing your modern day opinion, why...you even might sleep better.

Paul clearly is telling all women everywhere not to speak in church Read it again:

My dad’s instruction was very helpful to me, but not perfect. I’m not going to throw all his teachings away just because he occasionally said something that wasn’t true.

Paul’s instruction has been very helpful to me, also. I’m not going to ignore it just because I think he was disobedient to Jesus on occasion.

Paul is not God. I don’t have to bow down to him.

You probably need a dictionary to look up the meaning of worship. I just told the facts! You don't agree with Paul the Apostle, so who the Hell cares what you say?
