I heard this before, and someone told me and I think showed scriptures that lucifer was the angel of music before he fell I think. And if you look at it today music is addicting. So was the devil the angel of music?

Thanks God bless

Yes to the music, & also to the most beautiful angel.
No to the angel of light. the correct verse says 'satan comes AS an angel of light'. This is after his fall, not while he was still in heaven. it is a reference to him using trickery to try to appear as a 'good' angel in an effort to fool someone into thinking they're are following a holy angel, not a fallen angel.

So is that why music is like it is today? Because of the devil?

I never found a verse that calls Satan anything to do with music! I think someone made that up. Do anyone know a verse in the Bible that says that satan has anything to do with music?

It might be Isaiah 14:11, ‘Your pomp and the music of your harps
Have been brought down to Sheol;
Maggots are spread out as your bed beneath you
And worms are your covering.’

I think its clear that Isaiah 14 is talking about babylons king and the ruin of Israels enemies (assyria, philistia) in general not satan but thats just my interpretation given the context.

Lucifer is latin for Light-Bearer. And it is only Post new testament that Lucifer is the name given to Satan.

Try reading Ezekiel 28:12-18 although verse 12 mentions the king of Tyrus but if you read the rest of the verses it says that he was in the garden of eden also says that he was in the holy mountain of God and the covering cherub this was not the king of Tyrus but Satan was the true king of Tyrus he works through kings to fulfill his will

Again given the context I think its talking only to the King of Tyre... I think that because the previous section of the chapter is talking to the literal king not the spiritual one, because the context of the passage you quoted was designed as a 'funeral song' (see verse 12) and as we all know Satan isnt dead and finally because after talking to the king of tyre God moves on to getting ezekiel to prophesy against the literal people of sidon and finally describes the restoration of Israel from its enemies
