The Apostle Paul is the 14th Apostle in the Bible. Most people think of the 12 Apostles (Judas was replaced by Mathias), but Paul is proof the number of Apostles is not limited to the 12 Apostles. After Judas committed suicide he was replaced and after this Paul was an Apostle. In the New Testament that makes 13 at one time! Could there be more Apostles after Paul's time?

I think you mean 12 disciples?

Judas's bishoprick(office) was filled by Mattias, I believe this office that the Old Testament prophecied was the office of Apostle. I do believe they were disciples until Jesus was resurrected. Paul mentions the other Apostles in the New Testament.

Actually my brother there still is apostles today. They do missionary work I believe. You would have to be called to that office.

You forgot about the Apostle Barnabas, he was appointed at the same time Paul was.

Acts 14:14
But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard this, they tore their clothes and ran in among the multitude, crying out

Romans 11:13
For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,

Galatians 2:8
(for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles),

1 Timothy 2:7
for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

2 Timothy 1:11
to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

In John 9, which precede, yet is a part of this 'conversation' Scripture addresses those Jesus is speaking to as "apostles"

John 10
Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.

17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Now, IF there is any differentiation between the seventy and the twelve, it still shows that ALL were disciples and were able to cast out demons and do other signs and wonders.
Acts 1: "15 At this time Peter stood up in the midst of the brethren (a gathering of about one hundred and twenty [r]persons was there together),15 At this time Peter stood up in the midst of the brethren (a gathering of about one hundred and twenty [r]persons was there together), Since 'apostles' were Part of the foundation of the church, both early and present day, it would be safe to say that ALL that were in that upper room received the SAME EMPOWERMENT from the Holy Spirit....God is not a respector of persons. That then, by definition, they ALL being empowered by Holy Spirit for the purpose of DOING God's Word and Will, renders them...the 120, the 70 and the 14 APOSTELS.

1 Corinthians 12:27-34
New King James Version (NKJV)
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But earnestly desire the best[a] gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

Missionaries today are either Evangelists or Pastor/Teachers. Apostles were a gift in laying the foundation of the church.

Dude, if you remove the foundation of ANY building, it WILL FALL. Apostles have ALWAYS been on the scene, but just not recognized as such. It is not that the are RE newed....it is that they are now, again, being RECOGNIZED.
Apostles do APOSTOLIC WORK; they found (foundation!) churches and OVERSEE many churches, today, just as in Biblical times.
Prophets STILL hear from God and relay His messages to believers, cities, states, nations. This is called Prophecy and all prophecy today MUST NOT conflict with the written word of God.
Evangelists....Evangelize....their MAIN MISSION is to TELL about CHrist and His Kingdom.
Teachers still TEACH
Pastors Pastor and oversee local groups of people, specific PORTIONS of the Body of Christ.
MISSIONARIES are types of apostles, but few, if any every oversee 50+ churches at one time. They are called missionaires because they GO on a mission...and sometimes it is not that they are 'sent', but just that they WANT to go. This is not the same as being an apostle.
