Christians! Sick of atheists always telling you how rational and logical and reasonable they are? Sick of them acting superior because they obsess over playing jungle gym with their brain cells, obsessing over how rational they are because they don't believe in God and because they can quote Darwin, Hitchens, Hawking and Dawkins?

Guess what!? The Bible has some clear answers for you. Below I will show you why atheists really lack any rationality at all. I shall display how all that reason and logic they employ on us is nothing more than drivel and non-sense. Below you will see why atheists really don't think clearly, rationally, reasonably or logically at all!

But first a word of humility. As Christians, Jesus demands that we not think better of ourselves because of our position with Him. The information below shouldn't be used to become prideful over, because we know God opposes the proud. Use this information to sure up your faith, so you can realize that it's Christians who have the corner on rationality, reason, logic and clear thinking.

1. Anyone who thinks God doesn't exist is a fool.

The fool says in his heart there is no God. Psalm 14:1

Last I checked, fools weren't reasonable, logical, rational or clear thinking.

2. If you don't fear the Lord, you haven't even come close to holding true knowledge.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Proverbs 1:7

3. The wisdom of the cross trumps, and demolishes all other knowledge in the big picture.

1 Corinthians 1
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”[c]

20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

4. Boasting about knowledge is nothing without knowledge of God.

Jeremiah 9
23 This is what the LORD says:

“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
24 but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,”
declares the LORD.

5. Putting anything, above the knowledge of God makes you a fool.

Romans 1

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

Fellow Christians, the issue is clear. True rationality, reason, logic and clear thinking is found with God alone. Sure the atheist may be able to contribute substantially on some levels, but without God, they just aren't thinking rationally

If you're an atheist reading this now, the invitation is open to you, to enter the realm of the truly rational, reasonable and logical, clear thinkers and free thinkers.

Admit your sins to God the Father. Admit that you've fallen short of His glory. Trust that the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus, is enough to take those sins away and bring you in to full relationship with the Father. Ask Him to empower you through the Holy Spirit to live for Him and know Him. Seek daily to grow in him.

There is no need for you to live in the realm of the irrational, unreasonable, illogical and unclear thinking anymore.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with anything you've written, but none of these are going to be persuasive arguments to someone (such as atheists) who don't hold the bible in any special regard to begin with.

Hi Lurker,

Although you may think this, God thinks otherwise.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

The Holy Spirit regenerates the heart so that man can have Faith (Titus 3:5)

The Christians spreads the gospels yet we do not know where the wind blows (John 3)..God doe's!

Hi guys. I know I have posted this before but there was a bumper sticker going around a while back which read, "If you're living like there is no God, you better be right!" (emphasis added) What other argument do we really need?

There's only one such Translator.

In reading some recent threads, I get the impression that some atheists believe that it is a christian's responsibility to present "arguments" that would somehow convince them to become believers. If evidence is required in order to believe a thing, faith plays no part in it. What is christianity without faith?

I've been reading the instructions that Jesus gave to those He sent out very carefully over the past few days, particularly Luke 9 and 10, and I don't see any instructions re: allowing ourselves to be dragged down with fruitless arguments. If I've missed something, please provide me with scripture, as I pray for a teachable spirit and am not resistant to correction. As far as I can see, Jesus simply said to share the Truth with them. Whether they accept it or not is entirely up to them, not us.

God calls whomever He will. We pray and trust the Holy Spirit to go before us whenever we share our faith. Once we have done this in loving submission to Christ, it is entirely up to the unbeliever to accept or reject the Truth. And I certainly didn't see anything in the scriptures requiring us to become McFlys to the Biffs of the unbelieving world. On the contrary, Jesus said that if the truth is rejected, we are to move on. Are we to obey Him or unbelievers?

Those of us who have been trained in search and rescue understand that in life and death situations, we must first evacuate those who willing and capable of evacuating. We then move on to the more difficult. Once in awhile, we even come across those who smell the smoke and may even see the flames, but many times refuse to leave until they have put other lives in peril.

Once a good fisherman determines that the fish aren't biting in a particular area, he has the good sense to move to another spot.

We are children of God. The treasure we share is precious, but, as the scriptures say, pigs do not recognize the value of a pearl. To them, it is merely something else to devour. My heart compels me to share my faith and love as many as will come into the Kingdom, but I feel no calling to be dragged into fruitless arguments or to apologize for the Truth of of the scriptures.

Youtube seems to full of obnxious new breed of angry atheists. I was without faith in the early 90s, back when Atheism wasn't a club to join or badge to wear. These new Atheists are just trolls reacting to the general hideousness of Right Wing social conservatism that comes out of America. Avoid these Athests and don't engage with them. Also avoid American social Conservatism. Both are just as exassperating as the other, and neither are Christian.

As one who possesses reformed proclivities, I find this topic easy to diagnose. An unregenerate sinner's transgressions have separated them from their God[Isa. 59:2]. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart[Eph. 4:18]. Their understanding and reasoning must be based upon naturalistic/humanistic ideologies regardless of their lack of truth or inferiority because implanted within them is a capacity to worship a creator, but tragically, this is naturally suppressed due to their rebelliousness[Rom. 1:18]. So they gravitate towards the creations instead of the Creator which is idolatry. And this is the transgression that an unregenerate person commits the most frequently. Someone who is dead in their trespasses and sins cannot resurrect themselves apart from the drawing of the first casual agent which is God. If someone is being provided the Gospel (in which God uses ministers to deliver) and does not acknowledge or respond positively to the Truth, then they most likely are goats who are not numbered among the elect, in which further presentations of the gospel would only provide the unregenerate sinner further condemnation.

When we habitually present the Gospel to an individual and they fail to respond, or grow hostile towards truth, we must discontinue the presentation in order to limit the severity of their condemnation. If you continually disavow the free gift of salvation you will grow increasingly hardened to truth unless God, through grace brings you into the fold giving you a heart of flesh[Eze. 26:36]. Going further, in reference to the thinking of the unregenerate, their thinking and reasoning capacities can be optimal even as one situated outside of Christ, and they might possess superior intellectual capabilities that might put them in the upper echelons of society, but, since they fail to grasp things spiritual, they will always remain in the realm of corporeality which is evidence of inferiority. Things that possess an illuminated spiritual nature are therefore closer to the knowledge of God (e.g. Angels) therefore they have a greater capacity to excel in truth and in righteousness. Wisdom is not measured in intellect but in the application of truth.

It's not about logic. It's about one thing and one thing only. Are we alone in the world or is there a God? Sure we can have friends, but they don't know everything about us and what we are thinking. Atheism is lonely. I tried the whole "I'm an atheist now" thing and it was fun at first because I felt like I was free to do what I want. But then I realized that if there is no God, I'm all alone here. No one, not a single person in this whole world does or ever will really truly know who I am. I'd rather live life knowing that I'm not alone in the world.
