Lately, it is with a heavy and broken heart that one reads the many ways of words posted.
Are we not children of God, called in Jesus to be holy and blameless in His sight?

Col. 3;8
But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

What witness or understanding will be recieved if it is peppered with words of insult, malice, sarcasm,
when instead of discusson, some even laugh at another's posting, rejectng another as nothing simply because that one is not of their approval.
Why would one even consider anything said by such, when all they do is contrary to what is given in Jesus Christ Our Lord.

Col. 3;12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any;
even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also ye are called to be thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.

I struggled as to post about this, mostly because scriptures tell us to build up and edify each other.
It was when reading a post by one here, that caused me to consider how one can recieve any witness from this one, when their words are filled with ridicule and insults.
It is not the debate being spoken to here that we need to look to, but the words we use against each other in anger, malice, insults and a condisending attitude that make any witness or teaching,
worthless.
Even if the teaching or witness is true and good.
What brought home the want to speak to this, was when reading a post in another thread, where one spoke to avoiding bible study out of fear. :(
Some have said if one does not like it they can leave, or one needs a thick skin.
Since when should one who seeks to learn and understand the scriptures, be told this if they seek to learn about Jesus.
Ive seen no scripture that speaks to needing thick skin to learn of Jesus.
But I would not be surprised if someone did find scripture that does though. :)

I hope , that all will recieve this in the love of Jesus, as it is intended.
Not to tear down, but so that we all may remain always mindfull.
That ones words , will witness equally of the grace and mercy of Jesus, as the teachings themself.
It is comfort to see in the scriptures as well, that this was an issue among the early christains as well. :)
I suggest psalm 15:1-4 as a good word to read. :)
May we all pray , that our own hearts may be as called to, in Jesus Christ Our Lord!

in the love of Jesus.
God bless.

Why? as you infered if it doesnt help in the end of the dialogue then it would be better for me to go build a dresser or something.

nah Abiding I like having you around and if you are curt with me. well I have friends and family who say meaner things but I still know they love me :)

to me it is more important to figure out WHY someone tells me something then HOW they say it. If I know they do it out of Love it easier to listen and try and learn what they are teaching (then compare it to what the Bible teaches), but either way at the end of the day I try and forgive everyone they words and actions and trust the are Christian enough to do the same.

For God tells us to forgive each other.

Its true that most people won't listen to comment they believe are "insulting" but some people believe anything that does not line up with their thinking "mean" .

For example if I were to call someone "You brood of vipers" well would that be considered "loving"? Sometimes "nice" is just ignored.

Matthew 12:34
Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Matthew 23:33
Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?

its true pickles when possible we should be nice, kind and speak tenderly towards our brethren, but will we be able to all the time? Does God want us to all the time?

we can look to the Bible for those answers.

Ezekiel 3:18-21
New King James Version (NKJV)
18 When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 19 Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
20 “Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand. 21 Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul.”

Hi Pickles; Thank-you for your encourging words; i have noticed that you have attempted to share this through you numerous times and unfortunatly seems to fall on deaf ears.

When i try to share something like this, it just doesn't work for me on this type of format, (somehow people take it as conceit :() face to face is better for me.

The most important lesson that i have learned since being on CC is; now i have seen for myself the hidden thoughts of people, of which many attend some sort of christian religion.

Though it is My greatest desire to go and fellowship amongst the brethern of beleivers, I can see for myself that i would never be sincerely accepted.

Christ is so well known, so much, not only in Church buildings, but also and mabey even more so, amongst the sinners.

Problem is; the sinners don't want to hear anymore about Christ, they have seen and heard enough condemation from these beleivers who say, you gotta do it this way; and then then the next beleiver says, no not that way, this way and on and on it goes, until eventually it seems that Christ becomes a stone of stumbling and a Rock of offense, in finding ones way to The Father.

When one can reach that point of 0% prejudism, then one knows The Fathers Will in and through The Son.

Whats really neat, is witnessing to sinners of Our Father, as it is really well received by the sinners. Then comes the part that would have been impossible at first, and that is witnessing how Christ IS the Only way to Him.

Our Father is an Amazing Icebreaker

Never feel bad Pickles, in reminding us of our faults, as you wouldn't have to say it, if it wasn't so evident, that its so badly needed.

Thanks Again Pickles

Forever in Christ :)

Ephesians 4:29
(29) Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Colossians 4:6
(6) Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
James 3:8-10
(8) But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
(9) Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
(10) Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
James 3:17-18
(17) But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
(18) And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

1 Timothy 4
6 If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. 7 But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. 9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. 10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach,[a] because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 11 These things command and teach.

Col. 3;12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any;
even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

God bless.

i will say, though, i can not and will not build up and edify people who teach rank heresy and false doctrines that the historic church rejects, things that mislead and hurt the church.

Many times we speak from knowledge. Knowledge does not edify. Love edifies.

Many times things are called heresy. There are not so many heresies as many believe. Really, there is only one, and that is to deny that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh.

Doctrines can never unify us into one body. Doctrines were not intended to do this by God, only to be a guide in our beliefs. Love unifies, love makes us one, love heals all hurts, love endures all things, even when one might have a wrong doctrine, knowing that one's beliefs are not changed by our forcefulness, but by God's loving and tender Spirit who teaches us the truth.

I am ashamed to say that I have had to put several people on ignore. In my weakness, I could not remain focused on and in His love with some of the posts and remarks that have been directed my way. I love Jesus Christ more than my life, more than my family, more than any church or any doctrine. And I love His followers with His love.

No one knows what another has endured, what they are enduring now, the things that they suffer in order to know Jesus and to hear His voice. Only two spirits judge, one justly, and the other unjustly. We can walk knowing His judgment, or we can walk judging others with his lies.

Thank you Pickles,
In His love,
