What does God hate.

I here so much discussion on is homosexuality right or wrong, Or woman preachers, etc. And how many times we as Christians seem to not include ourselves in what God hates. But the words that are used over and over in the bible are, gossips, slanderers, idolitry, covetousness, envy, swindler, pride, etc. There is one verse that mentions homosexuality and we spend so much time on that one verse, and we are not looking at the many many verses that describe our own sin.

So instead of us focusing so much on who else is sinning, maybe we need to look at the list and see where we need to look...don't take the speck out of your brothers eye, when you have a log in your own.

I thought the one about the false witnesses that speaketh lies was the best one though, the one who says they have been called to pastor, but that calling goes against the word of God itself. I think that would be a fasle witness don't you ?

I guess we would all look upon these things God hates and point the fingers at one another, but does this go with the post about examine your own self. I guess this is why we all need the Blood. I guess if we break one though we break them all. Ro 3:23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

God hates sin. Really don't think anyone has a basis to add anything to that.

I hear what you're saying, but I think some use this tactic to justify homosexuality.

They say something like, "Well people don't focus on this or that sin, but they do focus on homosexuality. We should focus on all, not just one!"

I do agree that we should be consistent on all sins, but we shouldn't use some people's undue focus on homosexuality to dismiss this is as a sin the Bible is against.

Romans 1:26-27 Because of this, God gave them overto shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed INDECENT ACTS with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

I think most other sins are cut and dried...for example, everyone knows it is wrong to kill. BUT for some reason it seems to be a trend to justify or not include homosexuality as a sin. People say "I can not help it...I was born this way". Sin is sin...we are all "born with it"!
