The Lovers of the Scriptures today are like the lovers of the law in those days. Many lovers of the scriptures but hardly any DOERS of the scriptures.

From the time in the garden to the time Jesus Christ returns there will be those who read the law and the scriptures and understand them and DO them. And there are those who will read the law and the scriptures and NOT DO them. I know now where it comes from. I know now how righteousness is brought about. How can one see the end of righteousness? It is possible, but who has begun in righteousness?

Even from the days of Noah to the day of the return of our Lord, there will be many people who suppose themselves righteous but know nothing about it, loving sin, loving debates and strife, but not having the least bit idea of how to love. Their mouths are like the mouths of vipers and with their tongue they destroy many people.

And it comes from one place, out of the heart, because out of the heart comes the means to defile the person. Out of the very heart. I am sure that JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY, TRUTH AND LIFE! Any substitute, any creature apart from the creator deserves NO GLORY as pertaining to salvation and truth. NOT ONE!! ALL GLORY IS THE LORD'S. And what will judge us but the words of Jesus Christ. The judgement of Jesus Christ is the judgement of the Father, because he only spoke what he was told to speak, and he only did what he was told to do.

If anyone wants to be justified by the scriptures let that person keep all of the scriptures. Keep it from the garden to Revelation, if you have any revelation at all. If you think life is in the scriptures see how the Lord will answer you when you stand before him and he asks you what you have done for him. What will you say? And I am sure many of you with proud looks might boast of your works, but I can only boast of HIS WORKS. I can only boast of what the Lord has done. JESUS CHRIST IS LIFE! HE IS TRUTH! HE IS THE WAY! HE IS THE LORD!! HE IS KING!

The purpose of the scriptures is to point you to Jesus Christ, if you read all day and you don't get to the revelation of Jesus Christ, not just who he is but to how he is, and then be obedient, you will not have found life. What you will have found is vanity, and when you stand before the Lord you will be rejected before the hosts and thrown into the lake of fire with all other unbelievers. Because you should have not only studied, but you should have obeyed them, and not your interpretation of them, but the TRUTH of the scriptures which is clear to those who understand. Which understanding comes from Jesus Christ by the Spirit of God to them that believe his gospel.

HE DIED FOR FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS AS A SACRIFICE TO PACIFY THE ENMITY BETWEEN YOU AND GOD THROUGH SIN, AND HE ROSE, PROVING HE IS LORD AND SHOWING THE RESURRECTION TO COME IN AND TO ANYONE WHO BELIEVES ON HIM AND FOLLOWS HIM. TAKING UP THEIR CROSSES TO FOLLOW HIM TILL HE COME!

Will you be ready? Are you approved?

May Jesus bless you.

Ramon,

You take such a radical view of the scriptures sometimes. We all need to temper what we understand in terms of truth with mercy and much patience. We should love God's word because it comes from Him, but we can't legislate it to others. We have to minister the word with grace no matter how revealing the truth might be. Every believer has a capacity for the truth but not all have the same capacity. Not every believer is deceived either, they just have a small capacity for the truth because they have not been taught the word, which is something we all need as we grow in grace and knowledge of Christ.

There was a poster on this site that would react to certain aspects of truth and when she brought that to the Lord in humility, she learned through grace that responding by faith to the truth and to instructions, no matter how it might convict her, was life and understanding and protection from pitfalls. She grew in her capacity from being reactionary to embracing the truth and now has a beautiful understanding of the importance of being instructed through the word and receiving grace so that she can benefit in the life of the truth and in her fellowship with God and with others. She has always loved the scriptures, but now the scriptures have become part of her life and her reactionary spirit has been diminished by the love of God being active in her heart through faith and through the Holy Spirit. Her testimony is that she is learning how to worship Christ in spirit and truth without reacting in the flesh.

We love Jesus and honor the Bible for it lead us to Him and reveal His mercy and grace to a starving and perishing world. He gives us life saving bread and water.

what should we be obedient to?

Romans 10:9-11
New King James Version (NKJV)
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”[a

Faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. that though we were sinners. Christ has taken hold of us and through His grace will make it right.

Philippians 3:12-14
New King James Version (NKJV)

12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Hmm... Yes, because subjective experience is by far superior to the Very Word of God when coming to know who God is.

The answers to this are in Genesis: Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness.

Faith = Righteousness. That is why the word says that we are saved by faith.

But then the Lord told the children of Israel that if you Obey my commands therefore will I bless you.

Obedience = Blessing.

Obey what? Torah. The Law of God. Law = Torah = Instructions

These are 2 different aspects of the way of the believer. Faith and Obedience - (Trust and Obey?) One is how you get saved and the other is how you get blessed.

Shalom

My friend. I don't want you listening to me. I want you listening to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ will teach you the truth, not me. I cannot comfort you, but the Holy Spirit can. Neither can anyone call on my name for salvation. Without a relationship with Jesus Christ no one will be saved. Without faith in the power of his name, no one can be saved. His words are the words of eternal life. Not mine, not yours, not the words of anyone else, not the gospel of anyone else, not by the name of anyone else, nor by any angel, nor powers.

The words of Jesus Christ will judge every single one of us. Not my words, not any man's interpretation of his words. No one will glory in his presence. NO ONE! But every knee will bow before his majesty, and EVERY tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. And you might wonder how this is, that even wicked people can confess Jesus is Lord.

I believe that the Holy Spirit of God will fall on every single person at that time. And every single tongue and every single spirit which is made subject to him, will confess it before the whole world. And then people will know who they have mocked and resisted when he comes in his glory and in truth with righteousness and judgement.

Then the world will know who was hung on that cross for our sins, though many will not be saved, yet EVERYONE WILL KNOW WHO TRULY IS LORD!!

May Jesus bless you.

The Lovers of the Scriptures today are like the lovers of the law in those days. Many lovers of the scriptures but hardly any DOERS of the scriptures.

Matthew 22:29
Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power
of God.

Luke 24:45
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

John 5:39
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which
testify of me.

Acts 17:11
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all
readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness:

James 2:8
If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as
thyself, ye do well:

1 Peter 2:6
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone,
elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

2 Peter 1:20
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

2 Peter 3:16
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard
to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the
other scriptures,
unto their own destruction.

The heart is extremely wicked and deceitful, who can know it? We don't need to be deceived to be lost, we are deceived into thinking that there is no salvation, or that we do not need salvation, or that we already have salvation.

The lies come into our mind, but they take root in our hearts. The only cure for this is Jesus Christ, and through Him the cleansing of the blood of Christ, and the regeneration of our hearts by the Holy Spirit. And yet, we await our salvation from heaven. Salvation is not something to be grasped, it is the person of Jesus Christ.

He came that we might have life, and that more abundantly. He came to destroy the works of the devil. He came to save the world through His sacrifice. But not all the world is saved, is it?

Jesus gives us eternal life, and this life is in Him. He is the life, and He is the resurrection. Anyone who believes in Him will live, even if they die, and everyone who lives and believes in Him will never die.

Our salvation is coming. He lives in us, the hope of glory.

The deception that we already have salvation when we are not even in the word of god, is the master deception.
