Reading through this thread I have been blessed and nauseated. So much truth then such confrontation between brothers and sisters. *Its human instinct that we all want to be correct, but God is the only one who is correct here! Galatians 5:25-26
25If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

We all believe in Jesus/Yeshua as our Lord, right? God wants us all to believe the same thing, right? (read Psalm 133 and Ephesians 4!). How can we get to this point? This is breaking my heart!
yes, He does.
we've got the same problem today Paul had with Galatia.

Yet here is another NT verse that proves my point.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-17 Key verse, 15) Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the TRADITIONS which you were taught, whether by Word or our epistle.

Shalom

avinu: that proves NOTHING.

Torah as in the law??? So who's got the calf lamb and two turtle doves and where's the priest and alter, Leviticus and all the precepts, let's stone those sinners, seriously, what does that mean "keeping Torah" not even the ultra orthodox keep the Torah as it was written, where's the ark to sprinkle the blood of lambs bulls and goats. Wow, Torah as in mosaic law, keep it all just not one part if that's the implication and command if one chooses to live under it, good luck not that I believe in luck. Wow I should by some livestock and turtledoves, make a fortune everyday.

Hebrews 3
Jesus Greater Than Moses
1Therefore, holy brothers,a you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession, 2who was faithful to him who appointed him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God’sb house. 3For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. 4(For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.) 5Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, 6but Christ is faithful over God’s house as a son. And we are his house if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.c

A Rest for the People of God
7Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says,
Today, if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
on the day of testing in the wilderness,
9 where your fathers put me to the test
and saw my works for forty years.
10 Therefore I was provoked with that generation,
and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart;
they have not known my ways.’
11 As I swore in my wrath,
‘They shall not enter my rest.’”

12Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. 15As it is said,

Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

16For who were those who heard and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt led by Moses? 17And with whom was he provoked for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? 18And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? 19So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.

Zone, hope you're feeling better. And that verse proves plenty, what does canon have to do with it. It has nothing to do with what the verse talks about. Shalom

thank you Avinu.
yes, much better today.
i see my doc today, we have a new treatment that can slow this thing.
its awful, but The Lord is good.
love zone.

that verse proves ONLY that Paul was telling the Thessalonians, as he did in the text:

REMEMBER YE NOT THAT WHEN I WAS WITH YOU I ALREADY TOLD YOU THESE THINGS? (THE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS CONCERNING THE "RAPTURE" OR RESURRECTION)....SO, Thessalonians, HOLD FAST to what we already told you, either in person or BY LETTER.

I don't argue that he was talkiing to Thess. But all his letters are to some one aren't they, and isn't it all meant for the body of Messiah for all the generations to come? Because if these writing were for only who they were addressed to then why are we reading them?

Is there anything specific I can pray on? Shalom, Avinu

Avinu.
you have used that verse as an example of Paul teaching keeping Sabbath having transmitted it by tradition.
it says nothing of the kind.

So it saying that they prepared for Sabbath as is the Commandment, that doesn't mean what it says? Is that what you're telling me?

I did, starts with let's keep this in love so I'll ignore the "silly" aspect to your statement. You give alot of scripture nt but hold fast to the law, so my question is do you keep the Torah, cause if you divide the word at the cross they are either side of it is why I say. No disrespect or "being silly" to it brother.
