Ezekiel 13:8-16

Therefore, Thus says the Lord God, "Because you have spoken falsehood and seen a lie, therefore behold, I am against you," declares the Lord God. "So My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying devinations. They will have no place in the council of My people, nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, that you may know that I am the Lord God. It is definitely because they have mislead My people by saying 'Peace!' when there is no peace. And when anyone builds a wall, behold, they plaster it over with whitewash; do tell those who plaster it over with whitewash, that it will fall. A flooding rain will come, and you, O hailstones, will fall; and a violent wind will break out. Behold, when the wall has fallen, will you not be asked, ' Where is the plaster with which you plastered it?'" Therefore, thuse says the Lord God, "I will make a violent wind break out in My wrath. There will also be in My anger a flooding rain and hailstones to consume it in wrath. So I shall tear down the wall which you plastered over with whitewash and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation is laid bare; and when it falls, you will be consumed in its midst. And you will know that I am the Lord. Thus I will spend My wrath on the wall and on those who have plastered it over with whitewash; and I shall say to you, 'The wall is gone and its plasterers are gone; along with the prophets of Israel who prophesy to Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for who when there is no peace,' declares the Lord God.

What is a wall? Is God talking about walls that are built with hands here? We know what the walls are by the words of the prophecy. Anything we build that surrounds our heart to keep something or someone out is a wall. We all build these walls, to keep out hurt, and these walls God helps us in tearing down, so that He can have unrestricted access to us and can spread His love through us to others. If we allow Him, and seek to have our heart set free in His freedom. But there are other walls that are built around the hearts of people, walls that keep God out of our hearts, or which make it very difficult for Him to get through to us. These walls are lies, deceits, excuses, prevarications, and last of all, doctrines which allow us to believe that we can have peace with God without drawing near to Him.

Is there anything in our hearts which separate us from God? Anything at all?

We cannot answer this question, only God can. And He will not answer unless we ask first. We do not ask.

Lest you think that this prophecy is only for those of the physical nation of Israel, think again.

Hebrews 12:25-27

See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking . For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less shall we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven. And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised saying, "YET ONCE MORE I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE HEAVEN." And this expression, "Yet once more," denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, in order that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Therefore, thus says the Lord God, "I will make a violent wind break out in My wrath. There will also be in My anger a flooding rain and hailstones to consume it in wrath. So I shall tear down the wall which you plastered over with whitewash and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation is laid bare; and when it falls, you will be consumed in its midst. In Christ,
If we study scripture we will get the answer to this question. We do not need to ask God personally. He already gave us the answer. He might direct us at a passage of scripture which answers our question if we ask. But I have seen many people who have asked God a question and they assume God gave them the answer, and the answer was horribly wrong, and the decision they made according the answer they thought was from God almost destroyed their lives.

People have to be careful. Satan can answer us to, As can our flesh, We can not know something comes from God without going to scripture and making sure what we think is from God lines up with his inspired word. Doing otherwise could have dire consequences!

I guess that Satan will tear down our walls.

Not a chance, since it was he who helped us build them.

God is in the business of tearing down walls. He will eventually tear down all of them. Unfortunately, that will be too late for some, maybe even many.

In Christ,
it's all about you isn't VW.
go back into israel's historical prophets (ezekiel - you have to because you need that prophetic sounding lingo), take it from it's context (ironically missing the part you SHOULD TAKE HEED TO) , throw it in a blender with some religious sounding utterances, then splash it all over christians in threatenings.

"we" do this...."we" do that...."we" do not do this or that.

what do YOU know about what WE do.
why not just prophesy to yourself?

you got "WALLS" in your "heart" God "CAN'T" GET THROUGH? i guess you're stronger than God.
your god is weak, and ever-changing. i don't really even feel sorry for you anymore.

The problem is when people get away from scripture as their ultimate authority and start listening to voices in their head instead. Satan is strengthened. As scripture says, he comes as an Angel of light. Those voices sound good. They may even appear to be from God. It does not mean it is from God, and far to many people get drawn away from God by listening to these voices they think is God.

Scripture has to be our ultimate authority. Or we have no basis for truth.

In Christ,
sorry anyone else think these words should be reread by the OP?

I think Camping definitely should have read it before uttering his prophecies.

Like Sam said its so sad.

http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/27589-sad.html

I believe God sometimes speaks through scriptures, do you?

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Matthew 12:37
For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

interesting here are some scriptures about walls....

Proverbs 25:28
Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls.

Ecclesiastes 10:8
He who digs a pit will fall into it, And whoever breaks through a wall will be bitten by a serpent.

lesson 1: if you don't have walls that is a bad thing and is because you do not rule over your own spirit.

Lesson 2: breaking through walls can get you bitten by a serpent or demon

and here is about God's protection for His beloved children

two wonderful psalms I recommend you read All the words but to keep the post short here are the key ones:

Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 91:2
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

God is my refuge, my rock and my fortress no storms will ever be able to destroy it and no attacks from Satan can pull down those walls. For the Lord is my shield and my horn of salvation and I will praise My Savior. Step by step He leads me and I will follow Him all my days. I will rest in the faith of His love.

Jesus' words about walls falling refer to when people do not build on his teachings then when the stom comes the building collapses. Whitewashed walls might refer to walls which look goodon the outside but are strucurally weak when faced with God's wrath and storms. The wrath of God is more against those who were falsely believing God would treat them well even though they had sinned by not fllowing God's word. The prophets were promising them peace.

Jesus' anger was at the pharisees and saducees who wanted to appear Godly but were inwardly terrible things and wickedness.

It seems that any teaching can be ignored. Oh well.

I wonder at the heart that is so sure of itself that it cannot seek God's justice and mercy. Mercy comes after judgment. Mercy without judgment is not mercy at all.

Everything will be shaken, in the earth and even the heavens. Everything that is not of God will fall. If we have walls which are not of Him, then they will fall, and we will be consumed in their falling.

I don't see why this is so hard to understand.

In Christ,

Show where scripture claims this for itself.

Jesus said that when He, the Spirit of truth comes, that He will convict. And that He will lead us into all the truth.

What sounds better, that we can have an authority which is here and readily available to anyone, immutable and perfect. Or that we must seek God to receive the truth? Which one do you suppose the devil would rather we believe?

I catch grief every day because the things I say are unpalatable to most of those who are here on this group. Seems that I am not saying nice things, but hard things. It does not seem that what I am saying is sounding so "good."

So who is an angel of light? Seems all that I am saying is darkness, for those who are guilty of the things I speak of.

Contradictions always show lies. Things which are not even logical are hard to justify, unless one just wants to believe them even if they know they are not true. When I believed as do you, I knew that I was lying to myself, but I could not face the truth. It was just too hard, to full of my death. But God made me face that truth. Everyone will face this truth. Some day soon.

Yes, they will face the truth. And the truth is God did not spend 2000 years inspiring man to write his instruction manual for the church just so people like you can discount it as useless and not valid.

The bible speaks harsh enough words. People who read it expecting to get a love story of everthing will be ok don't know the word. Or God. Just because you are saying harsh words does not make you a prophet. Your words do not line up with scripture.. Thats all the proof we need to know you are not speaking from God but from yourself.
Thats the only reason people reject scripture as the ultimate authority. they know in their heart it does not support their so called prophesies! (or they are blinded to the fact)

Where did I ever write that the scripture is useless or invalid? I did not. You are lying about me because you do not like what I say.

God is the ultimate authority. Take God out of the equation, and all you can possibly have with scripture alone is deception and falsehood. This is true because without the Holy Spirit we cannot know the truth.

But if this is what you choose, then it is on your own head.

But if you have then the warning is not to you.

You say it everytime you speak. You say it when you declare it is not our authority. You say it when you say the words, which are from God, and sealed by the spirit. Is not equal with God (they are not his words is what you are saying)

As I said before. Just because someone misinterprets Gods book does not make Gods book invalid. God did not waste his time giving us his direct words just so we can discard it and say it is not his own authority.

A proclamation from a king (even if written by a scribe or anyone) were the direct words of a king. It was his authority. To reject the words on the proclamation was to reject the king himself.

You tell me to repent one more time. We will see what the thread moderators have to think about it. I will not give you another warning!

one has to weigh up whether we are being false counsellors like the comforters Job had who comntinually accused him of wroongdoing and deserving judgement (and you know what hapened to them) on the one hand and being a prophet on the other hand who speaks warning not peace.

I believe God can get angry and will be against those who do not continue to call on his namem but that is a very short livesd anger:

Psalm 30:5
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favour lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

If we took all of the warnings against sin out of the new testament, it would be very short indeed. We tend to read over them, to glaze them out of our focus. As an exercise, read the new testament, and see just how many warnings there are against sin, against hypocrisy, against lying and being deceitful, against being led by the flesh rather than the Spirit.

It is startling.

Oh yea, God's anger burns from heaven against all unrighteousness of men. It will continue to burn until the white throne judgment.

I know that if we come to Him to receive His judgment, then we can rightly judge ourselves, and live at peace with Him. Yes, Jesus intercedes for us, but only if we are drawing near to God through Him. If we are holding ourselves apart from God, standing far away from Him in our hearts, then we are not living in Christ.
