The bride is not perfect yet.

She will be, before she is presented to Jesus as His bride. You can count on it.
You would agree that the bride of Christ started when the church began at Pentecost and believers were added to the church such as should be saved (Acts 2:47). So, for around 2,000 years the bride of Christ includes all those that have been saved by grace, sealed by the Holy Spirit, added to the church and brought into the family of God as adopted sons and daughters under the new covenant. If the bride is not presently perfect at this time, for whatever reasons you have to believe this, then those that are part of the bride, who have fallen asleep over the past 2,000, are they not perfect as well? If they are perfect how did they become perfect, but if they are not perfect then how can they become perfect when they are present with the Lord and their bodies are still asleep in the grave (2Cor 5:6,8)? God can work with those that remain alive but to work with those whose bodies are in the grave is not possible.

Jesus Christ will present to Himself every believer in Christ as those that make up His bride, both the living and the dead when He comes for the church (1Thes 4:17). Does that include all believers under the new covenant or just a remnant or select few? Is the glorious church that He presents to Himself without spot, wrinkle or any such thing in (Eph 5:26,27,32), is that the same as the bride of Christ or is the bride made up of something else (2Cor 11:2, Rev 19:7-9)? Those that are asleep in Christ, if any of them are not perfect, will they be part of the bride and if not, what will happen to them? Will they be guests only and not part of the bride? If that is true, then do they have a different righteousness then the righteousness that the bride has?

Our sign-gift brethren have a problem on their hands (as does anyone who says they have heard directly from God) and their response is to say that these words are a combination of both our flesh & the Lord which is what many leaders suggest having mature believers discern the wheat from the chaff so to speak. They say this is the biblical pattern as taught by the Apostle Paul in 1 Cor. 14:29. This text says let 2 or 3 prophets speak and the others should weigh carefully what is said. That’s fine considering at the time there were still prophets in the Church as well as false prophets! The Corinthians being sign-gift driven needed to be told to “judge” what was being told them in the name of the Lord. Plus there is nothing in the text to indicate that the “others” ere discerning if part of the word given was of God and part of the flesh. Biblically either one was a true prophet, 100% accurate or one was a false prophet. From the record of scripture it seems most likely that the “others” were judging whether the person speaking was in fact from God or our enemy.

When it comes to the accuracy of today’s so-called prophets and their prophetic declarations virtually every charismatic leader will defend the blatant error, lies and unfulfilled statements given out in God’s name as being simply part of the “growing process” we all undergo in our God-given gifts! Just as one develops as a pastor or a Bible teacher even so one develops as God’s prophet. Oh really? Pray tell where is that in the Bible? There is nothing to indicate that the prophets developed from one level of accuracy to another. Daniel was not 5 % accurate as a young man and about 80% as an old man. What nonsense! Yet this explanation is commonly handed out to those who dare question the inaccuracies of today’s plague of prophets.

vw you always defend yourself by quoting the verse where Jesus says my sheep will hear my voice.

without giving all the bible uses for that term. what do you think of this verse?

Luke 16:29-31: Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If theyhear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

If not your voice thingy is just sinking sand. Soon im gona start a thread on hearing Gods voice. See ya there:)Did people really hear Moses or read or heard it read to them?

We live in a time were some people need to be entertained.

They flock in large groups to listen to a false pastor or prophet deliver a feel good message, and care nothing about Biblical accuracy.

They are self serving and have a whats in it for me attitude.

Second Timothy chapter 4 verses 1 through 5 explains this perfectly.

There is a sharp division between Biblical fundamentalist and people who have a do you own thing and feel good at all costs attitude.

They make things up as they go along, lack any consistency and all like any fad, over time they disappear.

Acts chapter 5 verses 33 through 42.
