Israel was in bondage in Egypt, but God delivered them by a mighty hand. They were slaves in Egypt, but God delivered them.
He delivered them into the wilderness, to try his people. Even seeing the many wonders and signs, they still did not trust God. The complained and bickered. And a certain sect roused the people saying,'' Let's return to Egypt.. Has God delivered us into the wilderness to let us die?''
This sect wanted to lead Israel back into bondage to Egypt, which they figured was better. When they wanted bread, God gave his bread from heaven. When they wanted water, he gave it to them out of a rock. He lead them by the staff, and yet, they did not trust him. They still desired the gods of Egypt, and the bondage of Egypt.
That whole wicked generation died off, except 2. Joshua and Caleb, because they were of a different Spirit. The sect was destroyed by God, and any after that spoke against the Lord, to serve other gods.
Not many people make it out of the wilderness. They are not satisfied with the bread from heaven, they do not desire his water. They bicker and complain, and they will be destroyed with a wicked generation. They will not see the promised land.
The bondage of Egypt is iniquity. There are some among you who preach bondage, and not salvation from bondage. They want to make you go back to Egypt, whereas the Lord is trying his people, and taking them out of Egypt.
Don't worship their gods. Don't worship at their altars. But worship the one true God, who is the only God. So that you can enter the land promised to you. So that you can actually be Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
May Jesus bless you.
