Default Sin Hung Jesus to the Cross.

Sin hung Jesus from the cross. The world was in confusion and disarray. There was hostility between man and God.

Jesus came to pacify the hostility between man and God by being a sin offering, a trespass offering, a peace offering on behalf of ALL of our sins.

In times past animals were given for each individual sin, to make atonement for the children of Israel, the priest having to go in and offer these animals on behalf of Israel, AND for himself. Yet, for all of these sacrifices, Israel could not be obedient, as their consciences were not cleaned by these sacrifices. They offered the lives of animals, and not their own lives, so there was no connection between the deed and the cleansing.

Jesus Christ came to be the sacrifice that would wash away all sins of anyone who came to him. Instead for each trespass or sin, one sacrifice for all sin.

He gave his life to both clean away the record of old sin that was against us, AND to lead us OUT of sin into the way of righteousness.

A bull or a lamb could not teach Israel to continue in well doing. But Jesus DID teach it. He taught us the way of life.

Righteousness was given as a free gift, as no one could work away all the former sin. Then Jesus who is righteousness purges us from all sin, to walk in righteousness.

Anyone who walks in sin is not righteous, as he has polluted himself again. And anyone who has not repented of sin, and applied the blood of Jesus, will end up in hell if they die in their sin.

Sin hung Jesus on the Cross, and to continue in iniquity is like killing him over and over again. Jesus died and rose to give a GIFT of righteousness, but anyone who misuses that gift for the lust in them, is a liar and a thief.

Anyone who defames another person for glory is in sin and the bondage of sin. Anyone who speaks evil of a neighbor is in sin and needs to repent. Anyone who mocks others is in iniquity and needs to repent. Anyone who lies, cheats, steals, curses, is bitter, is resentful, is boastful, is prideful, is lustful, is wrathful, or any other wickedness that leads to death, needs to repent and OBEY the gospel.

It is not enough to hear the gospel, but to obey it. Jesus did not die for sin, but for sinners, and to show a better way OUT of sin, to live in righteousness. Do not let anyone deceive you, anyone who still engages in sin is still a servant of sin, and are NOT free in Christ.

DO righteousness, don't just talk about it.

May Jesus bless you.

Help God, I'm not perfect. Forgive me of my sins. Thank God for the blood!
