it occured to me while writing a letter regarding faith that leads to good works as to why Jesus had to shed His blood for our sins. It was Gods way of bridging the gap. You see, God couldn't enter us, because sin was an effective wall of separation.The Holy Spirit is perfect it cannot dwell in sin, God cannot dwell in sin. So Jesus paid that debt that sanctified our bodies and souls, which allowed His Spirit the ability to enter us, and through that power we could tap into the Love and perfection of God, if we would only use His will as a guide, A true narrow path led by our Saviour, but that is absolutely why we have to follow our Lord because if you defile the temple (your body) and your soul then you cast the Lord from within you, remember sin separates us from God, and of course He will forgive us and fill us again, but only as long as we dwell in the righteousness of the Lord. Again this isn't possible through us but through God. What a wonderful Lord we have. Paying the price, grabbing us by the hand, and lighting the Way. Amen, Praise God.

go back to adam and eve. Satan tells eve, if you eat of that fruit you will not surely die. Satan knows 2 things. First we have free will but second if we sin against God we cannot dwell with Him.. Thats why as soon as God knows Adam sinned he gets cast from the garden. Now God has a problem. First we know the difference of good and evil but second we are of sin. He can no longer dwell with us. So how can this be fixed? He has to set an amazing stage that people for all time on earth can use as a foundation to base their faith upon, then He has to absolve their sins *which He does by paying the price Himself, This just allows Him access to those of us who choose to accept Him! it just opens the door, after all He is a righteous God!, but we still have free will and the knowledge of good and evil. We still can't choose evil and abide in the Lord, so what does He do? He gives us a Helper, to live within us, that all we have to do is tune out our sinful fleshly nature, and focus on what the Spirit within us guides us to do *which is Gods will" and He uses that Light within us as a beacon for our brethren

Amen!!I'm sure everyone here has experienced at least once in their walk with the Lord that they gave in to their fleshly desires and felt a separation occur within their Spirit and God. I know I have, I had consciously made that decision to sin and then I was given over to my sins. It just got worse and worse until the Lord quickened my heart again. There is no doubt that sin separates us from God.

we find it again in the NT where Jesus talks about the Seed of Satan who is called the Serpent of Old in Revelations and we know that Jesus is the Seed of promise both the promise to Abraham and to Eve. Therefore Jesus came to show us the war is not with GOD but with Satan who still deceives people now.

Deadtosin, it is my turn to go fishing, we are going out on a yaht to go for Red Roman, Red Stumpnose, Red steenbra, Dusky Cob, Bonito, Sand Soldier, Rock Cod, Hake and some other species as well... What ever bites today...
It is truly a blessed coastline this, i think it is the best bottom fishing coastline in the world. Mane species and quite a healthy dose of each species... Man we caught Yellow-fin Tuna just a little more than one kilometer from Grootbrak river mouth. In about 18 meter deep water. They were only about 15 kg average, but still on light tackle it was great fun. And you would land 10 a day easely...
I am skipper of the boat and it belongs to a friend up north. My church is the sea. I do most of my 'serving the Lord" on boats. The people cannot run off then... They have to sit and listen. where are they going to run too, it is t far to swim, and to dangerous as well, MANY great White sharks. So no they have to listen. Some times I preach without saying a word, the absolute joy of helping a man catch a nice fish and share his experience, is the "come follow me and I will make you fishers of men" ,,,,
I enjoy serving people with knowledge, and example of how to serve without expecting a reward... the soul awakening in that person is my reward. Maybe one day God will allow me to serve you on that same yaht. It is a beauty, and brand new. Slow but stable. Today the swells is around 4 meter and that is big. I hope all eleven can stomache the sea, or it will be a short trip.

This sounds like it has something to do with the priests that entered into the Holies of Holies. I forgot what it is called, but there is a veil that separates one section from the Holies of Holies. Only priests I believe were allowed to go in (I am thinking David snuck in once too. I am not sure. )
Now in the NT it talks about Jesus being the High Priest also.
Now go we can see how the priests of the OT offered and for what purpose, and the rules they had to follow. And then consider Jesus who did the same thing. It is amazing!

Ah the vail...then the narrow gate! And now the narrow gate is the BLOOD!!!! The cross of Jesus! Thank God He said Jesus is the FIRST!!! Not the ONLY that can enter into HIS PRESENCE!! This is how it is possible.... And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Now who of us are FINISHED with our crucifixion? I know we die daily, as we all claim, but when am I DEAD to the lusts? These IN CHRIST are finished... they HAVE crucified the flesh... So YES we can give up the spirit to Christ while we are here. And the moment we do we are IN GOD WITH CHRIST... Gone through the veil, through the BLOOD... Our Spirit and Soul went through, and the Body will get a new Spirit, and a New heart (soul) ...God took the stoney heart and cleansed soul, and replaces it with His heart and Spirit...
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Yep what a topic i would like to add that Jesus is also our Rose of Sharon and our Lily of the valleys. Song of Solomon 2:1 " I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys." HCSB (Scofield Study Bible) Isaiah 35:1 "The wilderness and the dry land will be glad; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose." HCSB (Scofield Study Bible) In the notes in my bible says this:
Rose of Sharon- Not the autumn blooming bush called by the same name, nor the traditional rose. It is probably the red mountain tulip that grows wild in the plains of Sharon along the mediterranean coast.
Lily of the valley- Probably the deep blue hyacinth that grows in the wild.
I love this cuz I am a wild mountain southern man at heart. I see God's majesty when I look at the mountains and the valleys. I mean woohoo like Cobus sees the sea thats what I see in the mountains. Praise God

The first thing I said when I read the first few lines was, ''WOW!!'' Haha.
There is so much in this post. I am being reminded of so many things the Lord taught me a while ago. I mean, these are prayers I asked a while ago, and he is answering them now. Questions I had about certain things, which I saw partially, but not fully.
I say the Lord has revealed much to me, but he has not revealed everything to me. NOPE!!! He would always give me part of a revelation, and I mean, I have about 6 notebooks FULL of notes, and it is all just partial revelation. I mean, I would be up from when I wake up till the next day studying, and still, only a partial revelation.
But now I am understanding that it was meant to be in part, so that someone else in the same body could put in another part, and so that someone else can put in another part. So that when the revelation of what we are seeking comes into view (we see as through a dim glass), then we will BEHOLD HIS GLORY!!
He says SEEK!! SEEK!! AMEN!! HALLELUJAH!!

If you do not know this verse perhaps you need to examine yourself and the scriptures more closely read all of Hebrews chapter 10. Because many false doctrines have gone into the world which of two I speak: the doctrine of Balaam and the doctrine of the Nicolaitans which Jesus Himself says he hates in Chapter 2 of Revelation. This scripture Hebrews 10:26 has caused much debate among all churches since the beginning of christianity.
Take heed my friends. Sin is evil do not give into any form of immorality. God is not a respecter of persons, you can not reason with Jesus as you can with a man. Jesus is the top dog, the big cheese, Alpha and Omega, the begining and the end.
Rip your clothes off your bodies sat in ashes put sackcloth upon your hearts or even your body if ya feel moved too. Cry out to God for His mercy, for His forgiviness. It is truly a dangerous game you play with your life. If you think you can stand before God with sin inside your soul. I am sorry, I wish I could agree and say once saved always saved: Hi- ho the merry-o, it's off to work we go. My faith is not a fairy tale or some illusion or disillusion I came up with.
Be comforted with these words and take joy that God convicts you of sin while you live in this fleshly plane. Be happy when your Father God disicplines you. For you know he loves you, he loves you so much, so much that all of creation groans inwardly waiting for the sons and daughters of God to be revealed. Romans chapter 8
