I read these two scriptures last night, and was filled with praise at the simplicity of what we recieve in Jesus.

Eph.2 :8
I repeat, it is owing to His favor that salvation is your's through faith. This is not your own doing, it is God's gift.
9 neither is it a reward for anything you have accomplished, so let no one pride himself on it.

2 corr. 4:7
This treasure we possess in earthen vessels, to make it clear that its surpassing power comes from God and not from us.

I considered speaking on these scriptures, but saw that anything I said would be as nothing,
compared to the perfect that is His word given.
The scripture speaks its perfect truth.

How beautiful are the scriptures, that the understanding of God's gift in Jesus is given.

in Jesus, God bless.

Pickles thank you for this. It just again restores my little faith on the BIG gift God wants to give us... this surpassing power... excellency of power.. MAY BE OF GOD! I ask what is this excellency of power of God? Not of us OF GOD! Is it perhaps the salvation? The power God has to even perfect the earthen vessel with the treasure in it? I wonder...mmmmm? Yes it has to be, God will not put HIS NEW WINE in old sacks!
Praise the Lord for this, thank you Jesus Christ, that you are the Messaih, and that Father God does not do anything half-heartedly! Amen!
