I wonder what the world would be like today if all Christians actually came under 1 banner as in the time of Christ himself all worshipping the one True God and following the teachings of his only Son as The Lord had told us it should be.

1 What would it take to accomplish this goal
2 What methods are at our disposal without contradicting the spirit of the Word
3 As Christians we represent our Lord Jesus Christ so it is our charge to act like him in all things that we do. This being said then one doesn't have to go far to conclude that the acts of denominational fracture have only one cause........... deception one of either two parties have been decieved.

The problem here is figuring out where the deception starts as to ascertain the roots of said deception.

possible causes for deception
A: a sizeable percentage of the congregation is misled by false teachings due to a number of venues or doctrines laid before them and are forced to choose between said venues leading to division

B: a sizeable percentage realizes that a large proportion of the congregation has corrupted itself and decided to pull away from the rest of the congregation in order to save themselves from said corruption
and in so doing create division

Real actual relational prayer.

Constant saturation in the Word. Reading, studying, praying, speaking, meditating.

Vital personal private praise and worship.

Scriptural fasting.

True fellowship with those of like precious faith.

Live an exemplary lifestyle and share the Gospel.

Nesteuo (G3522), abstain from food.

Not to be seen of men or fulfill a ritual. Partaking of the Bread of Life and the Living Water and abstaining from natural food (and water for shorter fasts of 3 days or less).

And no, it is not required; but it IS beneficial. An Isaiah "chosen" fast.

What would it take, What it ALWAYS did take.... Eph 4:11 to 13.... The ONE Baptism,,,, And who says there is not such a church here on Earth, in fact God guarentees that there are a church here on earth... God calls it the Body Of Christ. And according to God this church has members that does not disagree on a single point! Because they are ALL united in faith! And they ALL share ONE SPIRIT!

Our goal should be to be part of that church.. And I see MANY people that would lov that church, and would really DIE if it means to DIE to become part of theat church. Wonder if God will Baptize me into that Church? Well I certainly hopw so, because I do believe in such a church! One where EVERY member is ...
unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Very likely, and I'm fine with that. Oddly enough, I've never had ANY disagreement about fasting from anyone who's truly fasted and experienced its effects. Fasting was the exponent for spiritual growth in my life.

Anyone who has fasted 40, 80, or 100+ days (or even 7-14 days) is free to tell me what a monumental waste of time it is, and how stupid and legalistic (or whatever else) I am, and how they'll never do it again as long as they have breath. Only non-fasters have ever told me such things, and I've heard it all.

I reiterate... Fasting is not required. It's certainly not prohibited, though.

Jesus!
Also, I believe humbling one's self before another and having the heart of a servant would help as well. :)

God bless.

for christian unity- 1. understand and obey the command on 'agape love', 2. practice humility in any situation, 3.do not envy anyone, 4. put in the soul's heart there's only one body of christ in the world and jesus is the head of the body, 5. faith in god's word.

In the time of Christ there was no Christian unity.

See: Epistles to the churches.

The heresies began immediately.

i think i would start by saying that all TRUE christians are already united.

but what you are referring to is something else.
concerning your ecumenical desire:

1) its not possible, for the Bible prophesies apostasy
2) it is not desirable, because, as the first casualty of war is Truth, so is the first casualty of ecumenism.

The Holy Spirit brings unity in Love when God's Truth is held in the vessels of clay, the redeemed.
when sound doctrine, the doctrine of the Bible is taught and cherished and honoured and obeyed (to the best of our abilities).

He will not inspire Agape Love among false brethren. why would He?

Paul said of unruly and sinful believers gathered for Communion that they were disgracing Jesus - they were dishonoring Him...in church. over a matter of solemnity and reverence. and it was costing some their lives.

1 Corinthians 11:19
No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval.

Christian Unity what will it take?
It is going to take the falling away. When the Apostate church falls away and the true church rises form the ashes, then and only then will there be true unity in the ''Church''

Lolz, define true christians?? All the ones that say my doctrine is true and those who agree are united by denomination? My brother/sister is who believes like me??? Jesus wasn't thinking like that hanging on the cross, game over if He did
Jesus said my mother brother sister ate those that do the will of God, I think it meant to "love" not ink but people unreservedly regardless
Jesus' longest prayer was on unity
