And Jesus said if you say to this mountain,be thou removed and cast in the sea, it shall be done!
It seems as though God is trying to tell us here, to stand on his word and command it to be so,
same as whenJesus and deciples were in boat and Jesus was sleeping, and a great storm came up
and they were afraid and woke him up, then he said oh ye of little faith, same as when the deciples
were trying to cast spirit out if someone, they said Lord we cannot, he said how long must I suffer you!
It seems we are spoiled as far as praying and recieving, it seeks like he is saying ok,stand on my word
and call things that are not as though they are!

Only if He clearly said to do it. Or that He would do it. The quote from Abraham was limited to the promise made him.
It was not a doctrine being given. But a testimony that He trusted Gods Word.

The mountain is a reference to any power or authority that gets in the way to obey God you can
tell it to move and trust God will make a way for obedience. Neither context is a can do or say anything verse.

I disagree he said ask and it shall be given! He is a living God who causeth it to rain on all people or be it unto you as you have believed!
It is called FAITH! without it is impossible to please him, for we must believe that he is and can!
God bless you even though!

Sometimes when need to step out of the boat, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus alone not the storm raging and coming, if we take our eyes of Him we sink, just ask Peter he knows all about it lolz
Peter asked and Jesus said yes you can, all comes back to His will and purpose of course but there needs to be a willingness on our part to be bold enough to ask Him, that can be a stretch especially when the storm just says "you can't, look at me"
Encourage the brethren daily , we can get caught up in it the wrong way by encouraging them with what we know by what we personally see as faith which for some is limited as to what God can and is willing to do.
Jesus said - believe

Sometimes I wonder how many mountains have been moved for us, that we fail to see.
I have often looked to the storm in the boat as speaking to as well, that as long as Jesus is with us, we can wether any storm.
Because it is not the storm that matters, but His presance.
Just a thought . :)

I dont have cookies, but I did just can alot of pickles, would you like some? :)

God bless.

I find an issue I have is not that he wouldn't. I am sure he would. But the issue is if I am his disciple or not?

Is he talking to me? I could assume I am, like many do, but I am sure they are not, because they don't obey him. But I want to be sure before I go out.

Not that I don't have faith in him, he can do all things, but I want to know if the Lord has permitted me.

I cannot go unless he sends me. I will not go, unless he sends me.

Funny, I thought I was alone, because I ask this same question.
Ive asked many tmes , dear Jesus, I know you will do this, but is it the will of God Our Father?
The answer is to step forward in faith, knowing if it is not, Jesus will bring the understanding needed.
For how can I know the mind of God in Jesus, unless I step froward in faith.
I see now, better to step froward in faith and learn what is the answer given in Jesus, then to take no steps at alll, for this speaks to fear and doubt.
Man may plan His course, but God determines his steps. :)
Im learning to take those steps, thankyou Jesus!!!

God bless.

I agree Ramon the Lord bid Peter to come out. It wasnt just Peters will.
and we can walk on water if we must in being obedient to Him, or stretch forth a
withered hand if He tells us to. We can cast our cares on Him then rest trusting
we have obeyed. And let peace rule our hearts.

i like pickles with mussels , hmmmm

no your are right pickles, doesnt matter where the storm is Jesus is with us. I think Jesus was a bit annoyed with them for wakimg Him up and saying "storm storm we are going to sink"
best part is as soon as He rebuked the storm they hit land, solid ground.
