2 Corinthians 2
5 But if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but all of you to some extent—not to be too severe. 6 This punishment which was inflicted by the majority is sufficient for such a man, 7 so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow. 8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him. 9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things. 10 Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one[a] for your sakes in the presence of Christ, 11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

do you know the devices of Satan? do you know the age old tactics he uses?

He has not changed very much. He wants people to harbor anger and bitterness in ther hearts and make it more important for them to be "right" then to love others and show compassion and grace.

Paul tells us not to be too severe. to forgive others and extend the olive branch so that they will not be swallowed up by too much sorrow. Yes we should repent when we harm others but others should also reassure us that we are forgiven and loved. We should forgive and reassure others of our love when they offend us too.

don't know if you are reading this but I still love and forgive you for your words if you will do the same for me.

It is not that important to me if I am right or know all things but if I show God's love for others as God has commanded for wisdom and knowledge will vanish at the appearance of Christ but Love will endure forever. therefore it is better to strive to be loving than strive to be wise without love.

James 3

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

I would post something directly but I seek not to offend. if you have forgiven me then send me a message otherwise I will continue to avoid commenting.

There are more demons than Satan and for the King of demons to be bound does not mean his minions are bound as well, but that is whole other discussion.

May the peace of the Lord be with you.

This is all about binding/loosing among believers.

We are to forgive and seek forgiveness. But we are not obliged to always forgive without any exception and under every single circumstance. In Matthew 18 it reads:

Matt.18
[15] Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
[16] But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
[17] And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
[18] Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Thus, the key can be used to remit and retain sins.

John.20

[23] Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
We can also look at Jesus teaching in Luke 17, where we see that the trespasser should ask for forgiveness and repent from his trespassing.

Luke.17

[3] Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
[4] And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
All sins are not the same.

1John.5

[16] If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
[17] All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
What is to miss the mark here and fall into the sin of unforgiveness is to refuse to forgive, even if a person is repentant. That is to say "I will never forgive" (including if the person actually repents and ask for forgiveness). Then Matthew 6:14-15 comes into place:

Matt.6

[14] For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
[15] But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Sometimes when the part who is to be forgiven do not ask to be forgiven and show not a single trace to repent from their trespass, there can still be forgiveness given. Usually it happens because the offended part has too much wounds from the hurt or is tempted to something bad when carrying the burden of the pain inflicted. So to release this forgiveness is given for the sake of peace. This wouid be "at the discretion" of the offended part.
