As for Jesus being God, Read the first chapter of John (specifically verses 1-14):

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2The same was in the beginning with God.

3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

If that doesn't clear it up for you, well, I'm sorry...

As for the Trinity, I believe that the Holy Spirit, God, and Jesus are one, and three separate persons, but alas, I do not know the scriptures to back that one up. If I stumble upon them, I'll post 'em.

Here is your first clue, the scripture does not need explaining.

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. KJV

This might help

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 10:30 I and [my] Father are one.

I'll give you three passages purely for the sake of irony.

First being John 1:1-18. I'll post John 1:1 and 14 just for time's sake.

1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

What is your interpretation of these two passages and the bigger context of John 1:1-18?

Second passage; John 8:58-59
8:58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.”
8:59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple.

How do you understand these words "I am" in this context and the immediate reaction from the hearers?

Third passage; John 20:28-20
20:28 Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
20:29 Jesus *said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

Why would Thomas call Jesus "Lord" and "God", what type of insight did Thomas have on Jesus? How do you interpret this passage? If Jesus is not God, wouldn't this be the perfect place to correct a misunderstanding, but instead Jesus blesses him for calling Himself both Lord and God?

Matthew 1:23 - “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,

John 8:58 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?”

Acts 4:12 - “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Philippians 2:5-7 - Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, and coming in the likeness of men.

1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

Hebrews 1:8,9 - But to the Son He (God) says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”

Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 22:13 - “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”... 22:16 - “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.”

1 John 5:1 NKJV Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him

who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him

Philippians 2:11 KJV And that every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the

I too have had a problem with this through my studies. It just doesn't make sense. God made a virgin pregnant, with himself...so he could die so that our sins would be forgiven by him.

I know the scripture doesn't agree with that, but that has always been a big red flag for me. It is one area where I think the Mormons might have a better explanation.

You are right. God wants us to UNDERSTAND who He is, and who His Son Jesus Christ is. The trinity is beyond comprehension. The "hypostatic union" is a necessary fabrication by trinitarians in an attempt to cause their doctrine to make sense. Nothing can be 100% something and 100% something else. It makes no sense.

Jesus Christ is the SON of God, the second Adam, a MAN. Only God, the Father, is God.

1 Cor 8:6) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

1 Tim 2:5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

"I and the Father are one." John 10:30

"Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him" John 14:23

"I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple." Revelation 21:22

INSIDE the New Jerusalem(Bride of Christ/Us) is the Temple. the TEMPLE is GOD And THE LAMB. There is ONE Temple IN the CITY and THAT ONE temple IS GOD.

the Word is God and the holy spirit is God and the Word was in Jesus and he spoke it to us. that I know

Jesus said in the Gospel that he is the son of God, never did he said Im God
you are saying: Jesus lied by telling the people being the son instead of God (if he really is God) and there by breaking the commandment Thou shall not lie.

Jesus said that jesus and the Father are one?? thats why he must be God??
but if you read further he also says: let the followers of jesus and jesus be one?? does this mean that when you follow jesus you are Jesus??

I think being one in mission and being one in person is a huge different

I am a follower of christ who said follow the gospel.
but today people follow the gospel sorry i mean the letters of Paul who followed christ and was just a evangelist like we have today and he yes did also sinned but people call him saint?? saint means holy means withouth sin

Jesus was before abraham i know, but jesus sayd that he is the Son of God the first and he is the messiah the King
people who know the bible know that in the beginning adam was the first and king over paradise, adam is also born by te breath of God and known as son of God

do people really think adam doesnt exist anymore
I know that in the book of revelation it is said that satan will misslead the whole world even the elite.

satan wants us to idolize everything to prove we are weak

and sorry for my english

Jesus was born by Mary. From this came His human nature, His introduction into our own flesh and blood so that He could take on our sins (John 1:14, Phil. 2:5-11, Hebrews 2:14)

Jesus was born through the Spirit, without a human father. He had been eternally existent beforehand, and the Word of God (Himself being God). (John 1:1, 8:58)

He is my Lord and my God (John 20:28). Amen.

Jesus was born of Mary, according to the flesh, through the Spirit.

He came, He "partook of the flesh" (Hebrews 2:14) in order to die for our sins, so that through it we would glorify God and be redeemed through His blood.

It may be a big red flag for you, but in truth this is why Jesus went on the big red cross, red with His blood. Now He is alive forevermore, and in Him we move and have our being. Amen.

Now, if Jesus is not God, explain this to me:

You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David: "'Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?" (Acts 4:25)

...the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. (1 Peter 1:10-11)

Now, the first verse is referring to God the Father in the context.
The second is referring to Jesus Christ.

Explain this to me: How could the Spirit of Christ have been speaking through the prophets if He was not existent beforehand?

no but the human mind and language can only understand and accept so much.

What is the Gospel?

What does it mean to be Immanuel? The Child who is called MIGHTY GOD and the Everlasting Father?

Romans 10:16-18
New King James Version (NKJV)
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, who has believed our report?”[a] 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed:

“ Their sound has gone out to all the earth,
And their words to the ends of the world.”[b

In addition why do you think Jesus told His disciples this:

Matthew 16
20 Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.

God reveals who He truly is when He decided to reveal it. Jesus did not always tell the crowd the meaning of the parables but He reveals it to His disciples.
