I have come to the conclusion that the red dragon having seven heads and ten horns in Rv12 and the scarlet coloured beast in Rv17 are one of the same. The same beast.
The deferens in the colour scarlet and some shades of red are hardly noticeable. You could hardly notice the defiance.

Put a big fat woman on the red dragon, thus giving the red dragon a wee bit of shade.
Now what have you got? You have a woman siting upon a scarlet coloured beast


Revelation 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
