Sometimes it is those who are supposed to love us the most that can hurt us the most. God taught me a lesson tonight - I have a situation with my sisters that I know I need to pray about, and as I was looking for a scripture to post God led me to these.
Thank you God for remiding me of your words!

Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Colossians 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

I went through something similar , and yes how wonderful it is when God humbles your heart, each time it happens it is more amazing than the first.

Sometimes turning the other cheek can be hard to do, but Jesus wants us to love each other no matter what. Jesus was always forgiving even in his dying hours he was forgiving.

Beautifel scriptures, thankyou for posting them.
What I have learned as well is that when one forgives, they give that event to God, sealing it to His power and care.
I like knowing that what ever is done to me or another, iti is'set in Gods hands, mercy, care, understanding and grace given in Jesus.

God bless

amen, Mom. I know all about the trial of forgiveness with this thing I've been working through with my father. Thanks for the reminder!

Just to balence things up a bit, Luke 17v1-4:

Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."

v4 is interesting....

It may be the same sin each time but, each time we are to forgive when they ask
