I am nearly pitch-perfect (I've picked out some lead guitar parts, I can tell which key a song is in, etc.), I can easily learn musical instruments once I get the basics down, I can pick out harmonies in a song, and I love praising God...just playing guitar (like instrumentals to Christian songs) really focuses me towards God. I have band experience being a rhythm guitarist (but I'm practicing some simple leads right now to sort of grow me in that direction and so far God has blessed me in growing me in my talents.). And sometimes I've missed doing it...but I don't want to do music because I miss it. God has really blessed me and moved me through music. I feel God is calling me to do that...for Him to use me to bless others. And as I've said, I don't think I could have gotten anywhere musically without God and my guitar teacher. My guitar teacher told me to really listen for guitar parts in music. Before I played guitar, music was just music. But then one day I was listening to the radio, and every part of it stuck out to me. I could hear it all. And soon before I knew it, at 2 years of playing guitar, I was picking out chords in it (though I was a bit rough around the edges then, I've gotten better and better at it effortlessly.), and just playing along with it. I've been playing guitar for five years...I'm moving onto violin, and even though I need some help with it, I've learned a bit on it. And I'm thinking about doing piano again. (I did piano up till I was 11. I never picked it back up for various reasons. But I feel like I should do it again...but I'm gonna have to teach myself, once again, for various reasons)

I have no way of explaining how I got so far so fast musically besides, God has blessed me greatly.

Read the post above the one you quoted. (I'm turning in for the night due to me not feeling good)

I hope you feel better tomorrow. Believe it or not, I did read your post. I rarely read such long posts, but I am a musician myself and found it interesting. Still, I didn’t see any specific musical plan, other than to continue learning. Do you want to become a professional Christian musician? I understand most professional musicians don’t make much money. In other words, you need to have something to fall back on in case your musicianship doesn’t earn you much money. Perhaps you will go to college and study music, which would allow you to teach music if you didn’t succeed as a musician. Perhaps you will study other things while continuing your music pursuits.

Well I don't want to just continue learning, I want to use it. I would like to become a professional Christian musician. And I am thinking about what would work for me if that didn't work. I personally don't care about the money. I never have had ton, so I'm used to it. All I care about is doing God's will for my life. And if He wants me to go into music, use my abilities, then I want to do it.

But I feel called into doing just that. Becoming a professional musician. I haven't gotten anything else so far...

Btw, becoming a professional Christian musician for me = going into the music ministry which is where I feel going into the strongest. Not just music, but music ministry. I think God is preparing my abilities musically for me to do it.

Yeah...I'm thinking of saving my money up for a fairly good electric-acoustic. I have an electric and a regular acoustic. I like my acoustic alot but it doesn't have an amp jack or anything. And for me to make it an electric-acoustic, I'd have to cover the sound hole and there'd be some more done to it (I was told the process once.) it'd be totally electric. It'd be better to just buy an electric-acoustic. I also wanna save up money for a professional violin if I'm going to learn violin and get good at it. Yeah...I need a job. >.<

My acoustic guitar isn't electric. I insert a Dean Markley Promag Plus acoustic guitar pickup into the sound hole when I perform in church. It works just fine. My next guitar will be acoustic-electric, I'm pretty sure.

The amplifier is a lot more expensive than the pickup, of course.

You would probably want an amp made specifically for acoustic guitars. The jack from the cable that connects to your guitar has to fit into the amp. I think that would be a 1/4" stereo plug. Most acoustic amps would accept that plug. The amp I showed you in my last post is the one I use in church.

It would probably work. Someday you might want to get an amp made specifically for acoustic guitars.

Yeah when I was in a band we used to have one specifically for acoustics!
