I love this verse, and have found that many people have overlooked it. It has become my life verse.

"The Lord Your God is with you. He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

Isn't that a beautiful thought, that the creator of the universe will take great delight in you?!!

One afternoon I was driving home from work and singing praise songs along with a tape. This verse suddenly came to mind, and the Holy Spirit revealed to me that when I sing praises to God, He is singing them back to me! I was blown away!

When I got home, I went in to write this down to share with my Bible Study Group. As I was writing, the Holy Spirit began to show me new verses to hymns and praise songs, directed to my friends in the study. I have never had any talent for writing verse or songs, but these just flowed from my hands. I sang them to my friends later, and gave them a copy of their hymns with the verse. It was a blessed experience and one that I will never forget!

The Lord is wonderful. It says sing a new song. So we will always have more songs to rejoice in our Lord.

Well put! depending on what we are going through in our life differing things make us cry out or praise the Lord and different parts of the Bible speak to us at different times in our life. :)

Im so glad you shared this. The part where God takes delight in us was one of the most healing for me when I saw it some time ago. To often we know that we are loved but this told me he loves me just for who I am. To many times through out our live we feel that we are loved only for what we can do for others. This scripture let me know that I was simply loved and that God delighted in me. What a wonderful love this is. God bless, pickles
