We never have to worry about darkness when we have Jesus in our life. Jesus gives us that light, the type of light that will never go out.

1 John 1:5-10

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[a] sin.
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

John 12:35-36
(35) Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
(36) While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

Psalm 139:9-12
If I go east where the sun rises or go to live in the west beyond the sea,
even there you will take my hand and lead me. Your strong right hand will protect me.
Suppose I wanted to hide from you and said,
“Surely the darkness will hide me. The day will change to night and cover me.”
Even the darkness is not dark to you. The night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are the same.
