Yes, He is the First and The Last, The Beginning and The End.

He was the first Adam and The last Adam, The beginning of God's Creation, and The end of His Creation, ON THE CROSS, As He became the sin of The World.

The Bible says that the sins of a father aren't passed on to his son, but they are. Idk it really bothers me because it almost seems like God made sin by letting Adam sin and then God doesn't give us a choice but to sin.
I don't know Selena about us NOT having a choice. Its been taught by men but I have yet to find it in the Bible. I could be wrong and someone can provide Bible verses for it, but so far

I found these verses in the Bible:

    Deuteronomy 1:39
‘Moreover your little ones and your children, who you say will be victims, who today have no knowledge of good and evil, they shall go in there; to them I will give it, and they shall possess it.

It says the children had "no knowledge of good and evil" like their parents did and that is why they were allowed to cross the Jordan into the promise land after wandering the desert for 40 years.

you see Moses set before them a Choice between Good or Evil in these verses:

    Deuteronomy 30:14-18
    New King James Version (NKJV)
14 But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

15 “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, 16 in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, 18 I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.

but He died for the remission of sins because He was pure and spotless and without sin or evil within Him. He cleansed us and the Holy Heavenly temple by His sacrifice.

perhaps reading your Bible and praying about it might help. you're going to get a lot of answer here and sometimes that is more confusing then helpful.

Yeah idk I guess I should pray more and read the Bible alot more. It's the just the more I do read the Bible, the more stuff I see that doesn't seem right. Everything everywhere in the world including me is so wrong and bad. I want to say God is a loving God but I see soo many bad things that I keep wondering why God allows it. I don't even live in a bad neighborhood but just walking around it's like "oh there's where some guy beat his wife, there's where someone had a cocktail bomb thing thrown at their house, there's the pervet who watches kids at the park, there's the other pervert who follows kids home from school watches them at the pool and hangs out at playgrounds, oh and there's the other pervert who tried grabbing my brother and followed me a couple of times, there's where some guy burned another guy alive in his truck, there's where some kid got shot, and on and on ." There's just soo much bad it makes me sick. Idk sorry I guess I was ranting. Idk I want to be a good Christian and all of that but everything all around is so bad

    Don't blame God.

Eph 6:12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

    That's literally true.

It makes me sick too .... all of it. And what answer could any of us possibly give you that would make things better except the one that each of us here cling to in faith and hope, that being Jesus Christ. These things that trouble you and often times test your faith .... and cause you to question life understandably ? These same things trouble all of us at times. And why wouldn't they ? The offerings of this world are the very reason we should despise it. But don't lose faith in all people. Surround yourself as much as possible with people you love and who are worthy of your love ....and trust. This is where you'll see God at work. And when you close your eyes and rest your head at night, know that Christ is nearer than your pillow. He hears your cries and shares in your sorrow. And most importantly, He has promised us a future where He Himself will wipe all of our tears away. Stand fast in your faith. Take it from an old guy. You will never regret it.

Default Re: Why do we have to pay for Adam and Eve's sin?

We inherited a sinful nature from Adam and Eve.

    1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

    Romans 5:12-21
12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men[a] because all sinned— 13 for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. 14 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.

15 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. 16 And the free gift is not like the result of that one man's sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification. 17 For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

18[B] Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness[c] leads to justification and life for all men. 19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. 20 Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Anyone who denies this, denies very essential doctrines pertaining to the plan of Salvation and Redemption.

For those trying to define God by the basis of, "a loving/just/caring/righteous god wouldn't do that...", try letting God define you first.

    God is Just.
    God is Love.

These are not titles he has achieved by adhering to your standard. Why make him out to be such?

Are you saying God is the cause of all the problems in the world today?

Selenah, we dont have to pay for their sin, God knew and set Jesus to pay the price for our sins before creation.
For He called us to be Holy and rightious in His sight before creation.
Jesus told us because God Our Father did not call us to be slaves, but children of God.
If we in flesh, had been given no choice, we would be slaves.
But consider this, flesh begets flesh, Spirit begets Spirit!
We were created as flesh, so that we could die in flesh in Jesus, so we may live in Spirit in Jesus!
I cannot fully explain the whole mystery of it all.
But God spoke to us being the seeds He planted.
Every wheat seed must die, in order to grow into the wheat.
I have often loved that we are called the seed God planted, because in this way, we get a glimce of understanding.
That flesh is simply the seed, that needs to die in Jesus, so we may live eternal in Him.
Jesus paid the price for sin, so we may live in Him!
So instead of looking to the flesh that is dead in sin, look to Jesus who is alive in us in Spirit!

    Keep the faith!
    Hugs and God bless
    pickles
Its really not that complicated, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life we are called to!
The Joy of the Lord is your streangth!

Well, when it comes to the "paying for other's sins"

Let's say that the father of a family does somethin that gets him life in jail.
Now the wife and children of this man do not recieve the jail sentece, but they still have to continue their lives without him there with them.
    - They are "cursed" by the results of his sins, even though they did not get sentenced for them.

If the children later break the law, they will be sentenced by what they did themselves.

And that seems to be the problem. We all break Gods laws. As Pickles said, there is the flesh and there is the spirit, and we are told to let the flesh die.
But our old nature is good at fighting...

That is why Jesus was sent, because God knew it was impossible for us to live witout sinning. His blood covers us.
(You rememer what God did when Adam and Eve sinned? He covered them with the skin of an animal... thus he must have killed it first...
that was the first blood sacrifice of the Bible).

yes the more you know how the world is meant to be, the more you see the consequences of sin and people not obeying God's laws.

Everything everywhere in the world including me is so wrong and bad. I want to say God is a loving God but I see soo many bad things that I keep wondering why God allows it.
He allows it so that those you see sinning might be given the opportunity to repent and come back to Him. what many might call unloving is God's patience with sinners and His grace that allows them the time to realize their folly and repent of it.

    2 Peter3
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,[b] not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

I don't even live in a bad neighborhood but just walking around it's like "oh there's where some guy beat his wife, there's where someone had a cocktail bomb thing thrown at their house, there's the pervet who watches kids at the park, there's the other pervert who follows kids home from school watches them at the pool and hangs out at playgrounds, oh and there's the other pervert who tried grabbing my brother and followed me a couple of times, there's where some guy burned another guy alive in his truck, there's where some kid got shot, and on and on ." it is sad.... if you don't think that is a bad neighborhood, I'm not sure if I want to imagine what kind of neighborhood you imagine would qualify.

... here are some more of 2 Peter 3...

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.[c] 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.[

Yeah a bad neighborhood would be where the houses have bars on the windows, gangs ALWAYS shooting up each other, people living in half burned houses, etc. You don't want to get lost or even drive through some of those places or you might get shot or whatever. Oh well I don't know. I don't know what to say I guess. I'm not really sure what to think.

ummm I kind of like my neighborhood.

we aren't rich there are few streets with trailers but you can take a walk around the neighborhood without worrying about perverts. the cops know us by name and all the neighbors are friendly and will look out for you. when our dog gets loose someone will bring her back instead of calling the dog catchers. my son raised $200 dollars walking door to door for the MS society bike ride he was in last year by just walking around our neighborhood for a couple days. If I'm a few minutes late the other moms will wait around and get my son off the school bus and we babysit for each other and have dinner whenever we have some free time and our schedules allow it, which isn't as often as any of us would like.

I don't know. perhaps I don't notice the bad stuff, my husband tells me I tend to be oblivious when it comes to things like that. I like looking at the positive stuff more. I just thank God for surrounding us with loving and caring people who look out for each other.

When I was pregnant with my daughter the mom's club I was apart of throw a baby shower and they brought dinner for us for a week after her birth. There are soup kitchens, meals on wheels for the elderly, habitat for humanity for those in need of homes, Matthew ministries that provide food for needy families, and many more worthwhile programs and charities.

I wished I had time to go to the Kicks for Christ meetings which is free Tae Kwon Do classes given by a deacon on the church. They bring Bible verses to each class and are taught self control and other Biblical values.

I know the world is not perfect but at the same time there are some who are trying to let the light of God shine through them and their lives. I like spending time with those people.

    Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

    love you lil sis. hugs.

Man was NOT born astray, but GOES astray by choosing to do so by an act of free will, man sins because he wants to (as a voluntary act of free will) not becuse he has to! Isaiah 53v6. In Ezek 18 (all) God refutes the doctrine of 'original sin' (and born in sin theories), He states clearly that a son does not die spiritually for his Father's sin and a Father does not die spiritually for his son's sin, but each die for their own sin, ie 'The soul that sinneth shall die.'

The effect of Adam's sin is felt in the flesh (which ultimately comes down from Adam, John 3v6), not the soul and spirit which are created by God. Eccl 12v7, Isaiah 57v16, Rom 7v18, 1Thess 5v23.

Lol your neighborhood sounds like something from a Disney movie or something where everyone knows everyone else. They must be nice people. You sound like you know your neighbors better than I know most of my relatives lol.

Around here you're lucky if your neighbor recognizes you let alone says hy haha. There are some nice people. When I was younger there were alot more creepy people who were always getting police visits and...yeah... Now it's cleared out some lol. There's some houses for sale, some apartment buildings, and an abandoned house so seeing a neighbor is a rare occurrence. There are alot of younger kids though that hang around...out in the middle of the street at night getting in trouble lol. But yeah the neighborhood's really not too bad most of the time.

Anyways I need to read the rest of the posts.

The don't blame God thing kind of makes sense but then it doesn't. We're supposed to be responsible for our own decisions to sin and the results of that sin. We don't blame God or the devil, it's us. On the other hand, when we make a good decision we give God all the credit. Who is responsible for what happens?

Idk if that made sense, but anyways....

If we can't comprehend what God means when He says He is "just" and "loving." why did He give us the words "just" and "loving"? It seems like if God gives us words, He's going to give those words definite meanings.

Idk if that made sense, but anyways....
    2 Peter 1:3-4
    (3) According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
