The 'cross' statement is not what this thread is about, believe it or not.

The thread is about 'false teachers' and what does the b-i-b-l-e say about false teachers?

The thread is asking what will happen to believers (we already know what will happen to unbelievers) who falsely speak truth (Truth?) of The Gospel Of Christ ?

How does one know IF what they (false teachers) argue for 'meant' is true ?
-----

Again, I want NO long drawn out diatribes of your personal belief UNLESS it's wrought with sripture from the Book for you and me.

And, YES!, I want all to keep their responses to 100 words or less.

And, this is neither Bartyles nor Jaymes, but I do say thanks for your support. :D

God bless and argue what you mean and mean what you argue but may it all be meant for your Saviour's edification, so YOU can receive His blessings :)

False - Correct - Correct = False Teaching. In this point you are correct. False religion is sugarcoated with truth and once you bit into it, you get soul cavities.

Jesus was flesh and blood, He was the Word incarnated. The man Jesus died on the cross. The Word, however, did not die because He is God and God cannot die. As there is a difference between you and your soul, in that you can die in the flesh, and God can destroy your soul in Hades, so is the difference between Jesus's flesh, and God the Word which went to Hades and was resurrected.

The teachers in Christ day taught that Christ would come and set up His kingdom on earth, even the disciples did not understand till later.
Acts 1:6
(6) When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Because of this false doctrine being taught many rejected Christ when He came
John 1:11-12
(11) He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
(12) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

False doctrine can lead to a rejection of Christ

1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

2 Peter 3
14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

PS. Jesus is Immaneul as in Isaiah 9: 6 and He died on the cross for the remission of sins and sends forth His holy Spirit that allows us to cry out Abba, Father.

______
There is nothing that I need to say, it is all in The Word of God , God bless you, Een :)
______

And, as promised (did I promise? :D ), I am going to list some verses that speak of False Teachers, my peeps, you should ONLY listen to God speaking, and, He will NOT have you do things that are contrary to His goodness of Spirit, Holy, inside you :)

_______________________________I get this from atruechurch.info website and add my own commentary, but, like I said, EVERYTHING anyone says, pray over it WITH God. He alone is Truth, He alone can provide you ALL Truth. _
An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: [God calls it an astonishing and horrible thing. And what is it?] The prophets prophesy falsely [This is not a small matter.], and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end? (Jeremiah 5:30-31)
False prophesying, which is equivalent to false teaching, is counted by God as an "astonishing and horrible thing." Horrible, isn't it .
Then the Lord said to me, "Do not pray for this people, for their good. When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence." Then I said, "Ah, Lord God! Behold, the prophets say to them, 'You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place.' And the Lord said to me, "The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart. Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, 'Sword and famine shall not be in this land' - by sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed!" (Jeremiah 14:11-15)
God is seriously against those who speak lies! Note also verse sixteen. God will deal with those ever so severely, even in a most pardoxic way of your prophesied deeds, having you die by the very thing that will NOT be happening to others but ONLY to the FALSE PROPHETS (or false teachers) :(
And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; they will have no one to bury them - them nor their wives, their sons nor their daughters - for I will pour their wickedness on them. (Jeremiah 14:16)
This is why lies spoken in the name of God are so horrible. It brings to destruction, eternal destruction, to those who follow the lies. In fact, in Jeremiah 23:22 the Lord indicates that, at least in this context, if truth would have been spoken by these men, people would have taken heed.
But if they had stood in My counsel, and had caused My people to hear My words, then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings. (Jeremiah 23:22)
People are being led to be disobedient to the true word of God. So the Lord says to these prophets who prophesied falsely,
"Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!" says the Lord. Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: "You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings," says the Lord. (Jeremiah 23:1-2)
How does He attend to them?
And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten. (Jeremiah 23:40)

The wages of False teaching is death of some sort by
