    The NIV "Bible"? Satan's Masterpiece!
    By Pastor David Martin
The Hot Topic in the Church Today
The Bible version issue is the hot topic in the church today. As Christians, we must know what we believe and why we believe it like never before. The devil is out to destroy the faith of God's people in the Bible and he is doing a good job. The first question recorded in the word of God was asked by Satan. He said to Eve, "Yea, hath God said...?" (Genesis 3:1) That question is still being asked today. Each time a new version shows up it throws doubt on the word of God. The question today is, "Which Bible is the Word of God?"

We hold to the view that the word of God for the English-speaking world is the 'King James Authorized Version' of the Holy Bible. We believe that it is the preserved, inspired scriptures, and that we can honestly say that we have the perfect word of God without error or contradiction. Our position is based on conviction, not preference or prejudice. The evidence for the King James Version is overwhelming in our estimation. From a historical and theological standpoint there is little room for debate among the Christian church as to what version is the true word of God.

Probably the most common criticism of the Bible from the world is that it contains mistakes and contradictions. If you have read the Bible and done any research, you know that this accusation can be disproved by the word of God itself - if you have a King James Version. However, the modern versions are full of blatant contradictions and mistakes, yet the maintstream leaders of the church defend them before the church. They could not defend them before the world if their soul depended on it. A secular college professor would destroy the average Christian minister in open debate and in the process ruin the faith of any who listened to or read such a debate.

We profess that the Bible is 'the final authority in all matters of faith and practice' for the Christian, but if you have conflicting authorities, then who decides what is truth and what is not? The priest, the rabbi, the pope, the pastor, the Greek professor - who? We believe the final authority is the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

Three Contradictions in the New International Version
Just a few examples should be enough to show you the problem. In the New International Version (NIV) it says in 2 Samuel 21:19 that someone other than David killed the giant Goliath. Anyone knows this is not true, except the 'scholars' who translated it. According to Hebrews 3:16 in the NIV all the children of Israel rebelled in the wilderness and none made it into the promised land; however, we know that Joshua and Caleb did not rebel, and God promised them each a place in the promised land (just read Numbers 13 & 14). Another mistake is found in Mark 1:2, 3 where according to the NIV the writer of Malachi was Isaiah! Just check out Isaiah 40:3 and Malachi 3:1 - the KJV has it right and the NIV has it wrong.

The Satanic Role Reversal Promoted by the New International Version
Now, to really top it off, make note of the outright blasphemy contained in the NIV regarding the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. The translators gave the name of the Son of God to the devil and downgraded Christ to the level of a false god! The KJV calls the devil 'Lucifer' in Isaiah 14:12, but the NIV changes the name to 'morning star'!!! The Lord Jesus Christ is called the "bright and MORNING STAR" in Revelation 22:16. Could any professing Christian honestly believe the Holy Spirit led these so-called 'conservative scholars' to take a title reserved for our Savior and give that name to Lucifer? We don't. THIS IS WHY WE CALL THE NIV 'SATAN'S MASTERPIECE' - we believe the devil's usurpation of Christ's title here is his personal signature on the most popular and promoted modern version of the 'bible' today.

And then in Daniel 3:25, where Nebuchadnezzar looks in the fiery furnace and sees a fourth man in the fire and proclaims that he saw what looked like 'the Son of God' (KJV) the NIV translates it so that the Lord Jesus Christ is no longer the Son of the true God, but is transformed into 'a son of the gods' - that is, an imaginary, pagan god that doesn't exist except in mythology! What a ROLE REVERSAL on the part of Jesus Christ and Satan - and all done in the name of conservative, biblical 'scholarship.' SATAN BECOMES GOD and JESUS CHRIST BECOMES A PAGAN, MYTHOLOGICAL 'god' !!! To believe that the Holy Spirit of God is the author of such nonsense is crazy. One would have to be the member of a cult to accept this as 'bible' truth. (That is exactly what the world will accept as truth when Satan shows up in the tribulation and proclaims that he is Christ. All he'll have to do is point those who doubt him to Isaiah 14:12 in a modern version to 'prove' that he, 'Lucifer,' is Christ - and he'll deceive the world with a so-called 'bible.')

Success in Spiritual Warfare Depends on God's Book
We are in a battle for the souls of men, women, boys and girls. Faith is our shield and the word of God is our sword. Since "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17), your faith will only be as strong as the Bible you read and study and memorize and hear preached and taught. You'd better be sure you have GOD'S BOOK - your faith and the faith of those you minister to depend upon GOD'S BOOK, the Authorized King James 1611 (1769) Holy Bible.

Lucifer means "morning star". Such as Abram means high father and Abraham means
father of multitude. Lucifer is the hebrew word for "morning star" while Jesus
is called, in greek, dawn star or morning star.

Now as to why they chose to write the meaning of the name rather than the name, I don't
know. In all cases, the name of the person is wrote and not the meaning. But satan
    is a spirit.

Concerning the NIV being satan's materpiece, I would have to say "The Message" is his
    masterpiece.

I dont like the NIV but it would be untrue to say that the KJV doesnt have its share of problems as well.

Passover should not be translated "easter".

Act 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

    And this one...

Luk 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

KJV is still by far my favorite though

The advantage of the KJV over other versions is that the words added by the translators are in italics while the others don't

On e-sword there is KJV+ which I find very handy in showing the meanings of words and to do a search based on the number to show the different words a particular word is translated into, like soul is translated into many different words, as this link shows

i have almost finished reading the entire niv 2011. i only found a couple of verses i disagree with. i believe the niv is the word of god. we need to be careful what we call satan's. i know that every translation says jesus came in the flesh. that's more than satan admits to.

I got curious about the verses about David. I checked. There the same in both. One has a comma the other does. But regardless of the comma it doesn't change what it's saying. One say "david and his men" the other say something like "david, and his servants" Really what's the difference? the other stuff says the exact same items. Says that someone else killed the giant in both KJV and NIV. I don't fully understand it but I checked. You should check too. it's the same in both which is a little odd.

So why does it say some other guy killed the giant in both??? Someone explain that???

Anyway, I like the NIV. At least I can understand it. I bought a kjv. Can't understand half of what I'm reading so it's a challenging situation. Like I think the NIV is perfect for the new christian because at least they'll understand it. No body is gonna get into the KJV in this day and age unless your a long time Christian who wants a more authentic version for reference purpose. Which is also why I bought one. Maybe I'm wrong but readability is key.

I have a KJV, a New KJV and amplified new testament, and a NIV 2011, the NIV is by far my favourite. The message i really dislike as i feel it dumbs things down too much.

If we look at the whole record regarding the giant we can see that both the NIV and KJV say the same.
David and Goliath - KJV - 1 Samuel 21:9 And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah. . . . .
NIV - 1 Samuel 21:9 The priest replied, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, who you killed of Elah. . . . .

The confusion comes in when we don't read the whole record in 2 Samuel 21.

KJV - 2 Samuel 21:15-22 Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel. . . . v16 And Ishbibenob which was of the sons of the giant. . . v17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him (David) and smote the Philistine. . . . v18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob. . . .Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant. v19 And there was again a battle in Gob. . .where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliah the Gittite. . .v20 And there was yet a battle in Gath where was a man of great stature . . .v21 Jonathan the son of Shimea the brother of David slew him. v22 These four were born to the giant in Gath and fell by the had of David, and by the hand of his servants.

    NIV
Once again there was a battle between the Philistines and Israel. .v16 And Ishbi-Benob,. . . 17 But Abishai son of Zeruiah came to David’s rescue; he struck the Philistine down and killed him. 18 In the course of time, there was another battle with the Philistines, at Gob. . . Sibbekai the Hushathite killed Saph, one of the descendants of Rapha. 19 In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jair the Bethlehemite killed the brother of Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver’s rod. 20 In still another battle, which took place at Gath, there was a huge man with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot—twenty-four in all. He also was descended from Rapha. 21. . .Jonathan son of Shimeah, David’s brother, killed him. 22 These four were descendants of Rapha in Gath, and they fell at the hands of David and his men.

    1) Abishai slew Ishbibenob 2) Sibbechai slew Saph 3) Elhanan slew the brother of Goliath 4) Jonathan slew the last giant mentioned in v20.
Four different records other than Goliath. No where in either version is saying that someone else other than David killed Goliath. So there is no contradictions between the KJV and NIV in regard to the record of David and Goliath.

I use the KJV mostly but have an ESV and a NRSV - the next of my list is the NIV.

Consider what has been said by Pastor David Martin in regard to the NIV. Indeed, the NIV is a satanic bible that attacks the deity of Jesus Christ and that attacks many other important doctrines of the Christian faith.

And by the way, just about all the modern versions like the NIV, ESV, NLT, NASB, ISV, GWT, etc. got Hebrews 3:16 wrong. Each modern version which I just listed are all wrong in Hebrews 3:16. Each of them said that all which Moses had led out of Egypt rebelled. That is not true. The King James Bible got it right. Joshua and Caleb did not rebel. Here is the correct rendering of Hebrews 3:16

For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. - Hebrews 3:16 (KJV)

And as for 2 Samuel 21:19, here we go:

Here is the correct and right rendering:

And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. - 2 Samuel 21:19 (KJV)

Here is the wrong and false rendering:

In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's rod. - 2 Samuel 21:19 (NIV)

And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, the Bethlehemite, struck down Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam. - 2 Samuel 21:19 (ESV)

We can see here that the ESV (English Standard Version) got it wrong here too. It was not Elhanan that slew Goliath, it was David. Elhanan slew the brother of Goliath. Just like the King James Bible says.

Even the New American Standard Bible (NASB) got it wrong! You would think that some of the scholars of these new and modern versions would check themselves and would have looked over this passage before translating it the way they did.

Well I think that the specification comes with which Goliath - David killed Goliath who was from Gath - Elhanan killed Goliath the Gittite.

I really don't think there is any difference here. So you must believe that the KJV has no errors in the translation? I love my KJV and that is the one I use the most but to say that the men who translated it couldn't make any errors would be foolish on my part.

Thanks I never knew that these other giants were killed also (or didn't pay that much attention) but I enjoyed looking that up.

    God bless.

I dont like the NIV..I feel that it waters down some of the scriptures. Like that scripture ih Isiah that says ''No weapon formed against you will prosper and I will condemn any tongue that speaks against you. The NIV changes condemn to refute. The NIV also has over 200 scriptures missing
I respect your opinion, You're entitled to be wrong.

I don't know about the 200 missing scriptures because I do not own one yet. But in the verse that you are speaking about -

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that if formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against the in judgment thou shalt condemn (refute).

condemn - count to be wrong - worthless
refute - prove false or erroneous

Seems the same meaning to me. Maybe they just use different words but those words have the same meaning? Like I say I would have to have one to study before I made any judgments for or against.

    God bless.

Lets say the NIV said something like "Jesus was just a good man" but doesn't reference him in the same way as he being God's son. I think then we'd have a problem worth discussing.

Yes the NIV 2011 has put the phrase: the brother of back in there. While the 1984 NIV left it out.

In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver’s rod. (NIV 1984)

While we are on the topic though Leelee,

here are some other modern versions which get 2 Samuel 21:19 wrong:

    American Standard Version

And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob; and Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim the Beth-lehemite slew Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.

    GOD'S WORD® Translation (©1995)

When more fighting broke out with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan, son of Jaare Oregim from Bethlehem, killed Goliath of Gath. (The shaft of Goliath's spear was like a beam used by weavers.)

    New American Standard Bible (©1995)

There was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.

    English Standard Version (©2001)

And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, the Bethlehemite, struck down Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

Lightbulb Re: The NIV "Bible"? Satan's Masterpiece! By Pastor David Martin

    this has been addressed before...

'lucifer' is not even the proper name of satan...it is a latin translation of the hebrew word 'heylel' which means 'morning star'...the king james version translators erroneously copied the latin word into their english bible instead of translating it into english...

anyway jesus is called the 'bright morning star' which is a better version of the title...
