how do you even compare my relationship with my wife to someone looking at porn on the web
Heb 13:4Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed UNDEFILED: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
I think you have taken your argumentative spirit way too far with this one. and it is really none of your business but no I don't remember in 30 years of marriage ever making love with My wife then getting up and preach.

You perform any sexual act you want with a real flesh and blood woman keith and then walk out a preach a sermon.Yet you condemn a man who imagines he is doing what you do on a daily basis.

All are equal im my eyes kieth
If he is called, God will work with the lad till he comes of age

Mt 5:28But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed ADULTERY with her already in his heart.
the act that i do with My wife is not adultery in the the Eyes of Jesus.

Nore is it in mine.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

I could name a dozen if you wish. Hypocrisy for example.
Do you think willful sins are worse than unwillful? Are you familiar with the OT idea of presumptuous sins?

Yes, I think that a sins that have negative impact on the lives of other people (like Acedia and Superbia my friend) are worse than sins that cause no harm to anybody. If you do the thing this thread is about you don't harm anyone. On the other hand, calling the people who do the thing this thread is about "perverts"... yes I am pretty sure this is a sin far more grave.

Given the fact that fornication (ie, sexual immorality) is sin; and given the fact that the Greek term in the NT behind fornication is porneia; and given the fact that the term pornography comes from porneia and grapho (written or published); then most definitely pornography is sinful.

It is intended to incite lust which Jesus tells us is equivalent to committing adultery with the object of that lust.

I think we do harm others by masturbating and watching porn.

#1 Our spouses or future spouses are definitely affected by the images we allow to come into our minds. Our wives can not compete with this Hollywood imagery that we bury ourselves in when get lost in the fantasy world of porn. What we watch enhances our expectations of what my wife should offer me in the bedroom. I would also like to mention that the actresses and models in the magazines are definitely affected by my choice to view the material they put out. The whole supply and demand thing.

#2 Gods intention for sex is not about me, it is about a selfless act of meeting my wife's needs 1 Cor 7:1-4. I admit that there are benefits of this ministry. When I masturbate and fall into this trap of just meeting my own needs, there is a good chance that the sex I am willing to have with my wife is still just ALL about me, the exact opposite of what God intended it for. Masturbation is a form of idolatry or self worship. It takes and promotes ME not anyone else. It also denies God the right and the authority to satisfy my needs the way He sees fit, which is by sex within a marriage.

For a married Christian as well as a single Christian person the goal is to first glorify God. Being able to submit myself to His authority by allowing Him to decide what is best for me and what satisfies me, is entirely up to Him.
If God believes I will do well with the responsibility of marriage and becoming the spiritual leader of my home then He will bring into my life a special person who will help me along in His sanctification process. If sex is something that my wife and I enjoy and we understand the true expectations of it, then praise God that much more.

I think John Piper say's it best "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him"

As Andrew said,
it is a grave sin,
and yes you can cease these actions with the grace of God.
Sugestion:
Find someone to be accountable to
Tell them every time you do either of these things,
get them to pray for you.

but arent all sins equal?
sin is sin in gods eyes.
Peace be to you

Amen tara
Thank God we have forgivness of sins of the flesh or all of us would be dead.Grave sin; That makes me laugh.

here is some word to cheer you up;

john
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

gen
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

math
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

romans

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

isiah

Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

I to am celebit for the kingdom.
Be strong,Run the Good race.Dont let anyone bring you down
Love God with all you heart ,Love your neighber like you love yourself,Honor your mother and father,Stay away from idols.

Love a friend in God

I would have to disagree... i used to be addicted to porn.
the devil can really use your imagination and turn it for evil..
when you look at porn or even think about having sex or just messing
around with someone, even tho the possibility of that happening is slim,
that is still a sin because you are feeding your flesh
and following the worlds ways instead of gods, which is maintaining purity.

the rest of that verse says this:

"If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell."

If your righht eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away? You could still see with your left eye!
Sin is unbelief in Jesus. Sin is not trusting Jesus to deal with your weaknesses. We cannot do it ourselves.
We need to come before Jesus and ask him to deal with our problems, realising we cannot do it in our own strength.

I think your testimpony is great by the way!
