With all the denominations and all the differing opinions on what the Bible means, how do I know that my perception of what a verse means is really the way God wants me to see it.Will God punish those who have come up with the "wrong answer"?
There is no mention of the Mass Of Christ(Christmas),Halloween ,Lent in the Bible. Will we be punished for celebrating these supposed pagan rituals?I am not passing judgement on anyone,I am trying to correct whatever I am doing wrong so that I can have eternal life.

The place in faith where you become aware of how much is said, what has been said and how sinfull we truelly are can be so overwhelming sometimes. I am so greatfull to Jesus for his greatest comandment: That you Love the Lord you God with all your mind, heart ,soul and streangth, and that you love your neighbor as yourself. It helps keep me centered. The other is there are three things that last, faith, hope and love the greatest of these is Love. More and more I have come to know that it is not the knowlage I have but the faith to rest in the knowlage of Our Father in heaven. I cannot know the mind of Our Lord God but his mind knows and holds me and in this all I need is given. God bless, pickles

I think in a way, this is a good question; however, some of your statements are disturbing. How do we know that God's view is our view? The simple answer is that is not. God will not punish those who come up with a wrong answer on the basis that their theology was wrong; rather the lost will be lost because they do not know God. Also, if you really know Jesus, the Holy Spirit will sanctify you in the truth, as Jesus prayed in John 17.

But what disturbs me is that you "are trying to correct what you are doing wrong so that (you) can have eternal life." Exactly what is it that saves you? Is it your own actions? If it is your actions that save you, you are in trouble. If you seek to achieve eternal life, you will be lost. Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ. If you are saved, it is because of the worth and merit of Him, and not because you got everything worked out in your life.

Great question! Pray each time you read the bible, that whatever you perceive of what you read is how God wanted you to perceive it. After that, you should trust God will do what you asked of him 100%. If you don't trust him, then you'll end up no believing that what you read was gods point of view, but your own.

This same rule applies to talking with him (I talk to him every day, and I hear him everyday) I don't LITERALLY hear him, but when I ask him a question and another thought pops up imediately in my mind answering the question that I asked of him, I know for a fact that that is God. How I know this? I make him promise me that whatever answer to a question i ask him that pops up in my head is DIRECTLY from him, and not just some silly answer I made up on my own. Then, I trust that he'll keep that promise.

I almost forgot, The holy spirit is with you always to teach, comfort, protect and bestow Gods gifts. That which is perfect, that which will last, faith, hope, and love. God bless, pickles

There's a couple of ways we can know for sure.

Scripture - when it's obvious.
Inward witness of the Holy Spirit - when it's obvious.
Practical experience or confirmation via signs/wonders - only when obvious or verifiable/confirmable.
Majority confirmation by two or more witnesses (when they are genuine Christians/led and taught by the Spirit, or the theological / biblical scholars, the experts.
Established or accepted facts that may be confirmed via known historical or achaeological evidence.

Although the Scripture says the human heart is wicked, Scripture also says God gives us a new heart and a new spirit to cause us to walk in His ways. See Eze 36:27, Psalm 143:8, and in the new testament says we have the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16). In other words, if you have been born again or regenerated (however you want to call it), you can't really go wrong as long as you remain humble and teachable and walk in the Spirit and want to know the truth.

The only wrong answer God might punish a person about is what they think of Christ's Person, life, ministry, purpose etc. Christmas, Easter etc, are not that important.
