1Co 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

If the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God, how can anyone not find it ungodly to break that order by making a woman the head of a man inside the church?

Did Christ ever take spiritual leadership over God? God is the head of Christ right?

Then why should a woman take spiritual leadership over the man? Man is the head of the woman right?

Eph 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

No one even mentions the fact that 2012 A.D. is a lot different than Paul's time in bible-writing days.

What Jaume4J said was insightful, Paul spoke in 1st person of his thoughts on women. He did this a lot, too, for many subjects, including 'death.' Paul is speaking Truth but in such a,way that many could say Paul is wavering. And, absolutely, ultimately, when Paul speaks of things , like 'sin,' in Romans, he is being inspired by God. All writers of God's Word are, but, their are areas of writing that apply to today differently than back in Paul's time. Paul was single guy, remember, never married, and, never, really, in ALL his teachings to the churches say he desired marriage.

Ok, s o,, we fast forward from a biblical time where women were def subservient to men to now times where women are not only with equal rights working but heads of major corporations, like Meg Whitman, who built up Ebay Co. strong and also now is trying her hand, a Harvard grad's hand, at HP. She is not an isolated example, I will give you countless names, including fact Whitman succeeded Carly Fiona at HP.

Point is, that women's roles, since Roe vs. Wade, and, was it, Susan B. Anthony a women's rights getter, and, so, their power to MOVE others has happened. It's not rumor, this is fact.

In today's age, so much sinful rebellion has happened , the divorce rate is 60+% , even higher, I've heard, for Christian couples than non ! So, here you have a very afraid generation of women, who some (many?) been hurt by the domestic abuse of their ex-husband, or, scarred by their husband leaving for another woman, having been unfaithful. OK, so, for the strong Christian ladies, they know God will NEVER EVER NEVER (original Greek wording for that just said 'negative is more powerful than English) leave her nor forsake her, per Hebrews 13:5. Ok, good, but what about for the Christian lady who DEPARTS (yes, Paul does say many will 'depart' or 'leave' their 'faith for varying reasons, and, I see why not 'abuse' by spouse would not fit this bill). Whst about that departer? And, what about all the marrying same-sexers who are female and will NEVER step foot in a church taught by a man but they, indeed, would be willing to step foot inside a church....

....taught by a woman ?

Because of the quoted scripture ...women should not speak in Church, as the bible clearly states.

I do not understand how people can possibly justify it when God has laid it out such a clear way. Black and White.

Just has men are to under Gods authority, women serve under man.

Let women learn through their husbands, fathers and brothers.

If a woman speaks in church, I believe it to be a complete disregard for the Lords commandments and she would be just as-well to rip that page out of the bible.

God Bless

Women are allowed to speak in church though. Men and women would sit on opposite ends in the early church, so if a woman didn't understand something she would have to yell to her husband to get an answer. That is why it says to wait until you get home to ask.

1Co 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1Co 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Women could speak though because they prayed and prophesied. They just have to remain under the authority of a man.

1Co 11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

The Bible speaks of women teaching the gospel of Christ. I just saw it this morning in the book of Ephesians. All of the ''women being silent'' scriptures are taken out of context. You cant just pull a few verses out of context and form a doctrine out of it. Every voice that you silence is a victory for the enemy.

Paul said it, its true. let us go back to context. he said so because women were the once causing problems in church at that time. so he asked them to be quite. same as for us today, if men or youths are causing trouble in the house of God, Paul will say that they should stop noise.
God used several women in the bible before and even after Jesus went to heaven.

You do know we are taught God is Spirit and would be worshipped in Spirit and Truth? The term Father for God is simply His choice to be called. There is no male or female come the Kingdom but we are all like the angels. This teaching is from Jesus, Yeshua. This all deals with the true nature of all in the spirit, putting aside any role in the flesh, for the flesh is a temporal condition. Consider this if you will. I know you think a lot. Meditation is always good in spiritual pursuits.
Whether or not male or female is abolished IN HEAVEN, the point I made still stands. We aren't in heaven when we are on earth. And while we are on earth, we need to follow God's commands as male and female.

Women are not permitted to speak in church Period. - According to Gods Law. However, many churches do not follow that law now for whatever reason.
When I did attend church women and men did not sit together. We used to wait until we got home as well...but my first post still stands...I don't quite understand what point you have added to mine really?

Yet you do not post the scripture and show us the context. So it's all opinion on your part.

The Holy Spirit wrote the Bible. And that same Holy Spirit, who is God, tells us that a woman cannot be a pastor. So if someone, "in the spirit" contradicts the Scripture that the Holy Ghost Himself has written, why would you trust that person???
All of your statements has been true. We have to follow the order God has set in his word. I think man sometimes think they know better than God at times.

Also with that being said this is true for everything that is taught in the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Those who will not follow God's word EXACTLY how he has it set up take heed: Revelation 22:18-19
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, not diminish from it.

Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

People, especially Christians, should realize just because someone is successful and seem to be doing good works doesn't mean that God approve of what they are doing. Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

As you see in Matthew those were religious people Jesus was talking to. They were doing great things in Jesus name but it will all have been in vain if you do not keep the commandments of the Lord.

And please people don't think we are judging you or other people actions just because we are rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Tim 2:15) we are telling you what thus said the Lord and God's word is doing all the judging!

I wish I could reach you on this subject, Kath, God uses women today MUCH different than when Paul spoke to Corinth church.

So, this make's dude's comments wrong?

I like what you just said, but you said you read of women teaching Word in 'Ephesians,'verses from thre,, please, dude, thx, Christ bro. :)

And, as mag said, which I said in earlier post too, today's times are different fro when Paul spoke. Gays, lesbians,60% divorce rate, so much bitterness of God, and, yes, 'man,,' that some like married females, won't give a man preacher the opportunuty to preach to them. Been hurt, abused.

God is using ALL means to bring people to Christ. I am pretty sure , if Paul were around today, and, all, the saints of old risen at the veil's tearing, would agree with me.
that none should perish.'
The Lord leads. I sure hope and pray He leads me, and, I do understand scripture of James speaking to bishops but times have changed from way back then, ecxept this has not changed, 2 Peter 3:9 '..

To say that women can never say a single word in church at anytime would create a contradiction in scripture.

1Co 11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

I haven't been to church in 5 years, maybe more. But when I did attend and was in happy fellowship, women never spoke. The men and women sat separately. And while the men were vocal in their prayers, women were not.

It is not a contradiction of scripture in my eyes.

I dont care what day and age you live in. I dont care what church you go to. The following verses still apply because Paul gives his reason for it, and that reason still applies to this day. Its 2012 but Adam was still formed first, then Eve. Its 2012 but Adam was still not deceived, but the woman being deceived in the transgression.

1Ti 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
1Ti 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1Ti 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
1Ti 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Ooops sorry...that was Pilippians not Ephesians. Philippians 4:2-3

Now I appeal to Euodia and Syntyche. Please, because you belong to the Lord, settle your disagreement. 3 And I ask you, my true partner,[b] to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life.

Yes King David did, and sometimes he was talking about himself and others he was prophesying about the true David, or beloved, that being Jesus Christ, Yeshua. However Paul has demonstrated his own personal preference here is stating HE DOES NOT SUFFER WOMEN..... Believe me, when I have listened to certain women preach, Joyce Meyers my favorite, no one can deny the woman is inspired by the Holy Spirit. Grammatically and spiritually speaking, no one is going to convince me that the scripture reference used by most to deny women the right to preach is simply Paul's personal preference, and it also dealt with customs at the time. If you do not believe this, look at his description as regarding the attire of men and women. There is no one quite so blind as he who refuses to see, no one quite so deaf as he who will not listen. By the way, I am not terrified of woman preaching the Word.
And this is why I love the Bible. Because it truly is sharper than a two-edged sword and will separate those who believe from those who don't.

By your own admission you reject the whole counsel of God. You have re-made the Bible in your image, removing parts that don't suit your personal tastes. This is nothing more than idolatry.

I can only urge you to believe in Jesus Christ for salvation and repent from changing His Word.

Oh and by the way, Joyce Meyer teachers the Word of Faith heresy, so I actually don't think of her as a Bibilical preacher.

Beware of Joyce Meyer

And here is Wretched Radio's piece on "Pastor Meyers."

We can always make a case basis, but please don't generalize, A-O.
Meyers, by the way, I've heard speak a few times and that ordained pastor speaks The Truth, and, surely, has reached so many, dare I say a majority, 'women,, for Christ.

Anyway, I don't care to muddle scripture and I am not. God, ultimately, leads believers lives and IF God called Meyers , which He DID, to the unusual duty of ordained minister then so be it. Far be it for me (and, hopefully) you to try and say, 'Well, Paul said women should be silent, God, so why did you make her a pastor, and, not just a pastor, but A PASTOR TO THE WORLD! Why, Lord God?'

A-O: ' Wh--'SILENCE !!! says God. Who are you ? I AM !
