First of all, I try not to use the term Calvinism, because, I follow Jesus, I just happen to hold to the Doctrines of Grace. Second of all, I'm not trying to start an argument, there's just too much to say. Third, I'm just trying to make like minded believers, ie those with Calvinistic views to befriend, and not just them, but people who are humourous but also enjoy deep theological and philosophical discussions :D but here is a question, do calvinists and Arminians serve two different Gods? By tat I mean, is this a salvation issue? Are the differences really that big? I just would like to see peoples opinions. Thanks!

I will say they serve the same God, so it isn't a salvation issue. I'd be interested to hear why/how someone would say otherwise. And like you I don't think their differences are that great, though in the debate arena they are often expanded to be immense. However, you can also find variations of both that seem to overlap each other.

I don't call myself a calvinist, but in my faith God has led me to my understanding of scripture and I've found that it closely matches the TULIP calvinist framework.

I'm not a Calvinist but I definitely dont see this as a matter of salvation. I think predestination and freewill work together some way, some how.

the bible doesnt always give us pat answers..but truth.
and the answer to each side is......yes

But then neither side is painted right by the other most of the time.

Thanx for your post. The differences between the reformed (and the rest of the protestant reformation) and arminianism in the matter of justification is huge and as far from each other as the west is from the east.
