Why is it that so many profess people to do 'this,' worship like 'that,' and, don't think you're going to heaven if you got it wrong in their eyes.

Isn't God our judge, ? We are ALL guilty of judging others, but, good news, Christ does not convict us ever, just SHOW us where we erred and gives us His correction, or, discipline, IF we need it.

Christ peeps, why is it so difficult to NOT take scripture at face value and dig into what a verse is really saying like for instance, the men's libbers who THINK that 1 Corinthians 14:33-35 is talking about women to be silent, as Paul speaking here to the church congregation in Corinth .

Paul, as Dude says, is speaking AGAINST those saying women should not preach.

What is the keyword(s) of verses 33, 34, 35, that let us know that Paul is NOT saying women are to remain silent and to ask questions after church to their husbands at home? What word speaks this oppression of women in church true?

What! You going to go at face value, aten't you, at KJV or NASB, or, whatever version suits you, aren't you?

It says what word in early Greek writings that says that you got this interpretation all WRONG, men, and, yeah, some you, women, too, of course. Some you women oppress your own gender, too, sad to say. :(

But, The keyword , or, phrase, is not in verse 33,34,35, it is expelled by Paul in verse 36 !

What The word is 'what.'

Paul is reading from Corinthian church doctrine of 'women to be silent in church....ask husbands at home,' and, after reading this garbage Paul exclaims, 'what, are you....'
Forye may all prophesy one byone, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

1Cr 14:32 And the spirits ofthe prophetsare subject tothe prophets.

1Cr 14:33 ForGod is not [the author] ofconfusion, butof peace, as in all churches of the saints.

1Cr 14:34 Let your women keep in silence in the churches, for it is not permitted unto them to speak, but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

1Cr 14:35 And if theywilllearnanything, letthem asktheir husbands at home:foritis a shame forwomento speak in the church.

1Cr 14:36 [/B]What?[/B] came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

1Cr 14:37 If any man think himselfto be a prophet, or spiritual, lethim acknowledge that the things that I write untoyou are the commandments ofthe Lord. 1Cr 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, lethim be ignorant.

1Cr 14:39 Wherefore,, covet (desire) to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

1Cr 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

This says women can get right up from their seat and PROPHESY , SPEAK IN TONGUES. So, is Paul telling women they are to remain silent in church, speak to husbands only when home?

No! If you take verse 35 with verse 36, IN CONTEXT, then women CAN speak to their husbands in church WHATever is on their heart, as long as, like men, they speak it unto The glory of God :)

If The answer were to be 'yes!' then Paul would be contradicting himself.

There can only be one answer for miladies THINKING they can not speak up in a church service--prophesy, speak in tongues (with interpretation) to edify believers. Yes, you CAN :)

*edit: The version I listed is KJV. So, later versions correlate with earlier word, 'what. of verse 36 by Paul, denouncing Corinth church leadership for saying women cannot speak in church, tongues, prophesy, or, yes, ladies , you can even TEACH and PREACH as The Lord humbly puts a great message on your heart, even your testimony. :)
