Does God speak to his people in dreams today?

Yes, I believe that God still speaks to people in dreams today. When i was eight years old, he gave me a vision of me as a missionary working with kids, and i remember loving it in the dream, and he spoke to me in the dream laying out a life purpose for me. Ever since all i have wanted to do was to become a missionary to Russia. He also has given me real life dreams, that the next day that very dream appears but in real life. Like ill be talking to a friend in a dream, and she will answer a question, and the next day that very thing happens. Sp yes he has spoken to me in dreams, visions, and through his word. As i was reading the Bible words and verses were popping out at me, and as i analyzed them i realized that they were telling of a missionary that was paving the way with God.

I think that what you experience was definitely a dream given by God.

I listen to God however he speaks to me and he certainly speak to me in dreams.

Joseph received no less than 4 dreams from God in that everything coul be seen perfectly by Joseph, for how important God envisions dreams to be in our life. Joseph obeying God in his dreams was quintessential to the Saviour of the world being born

wisemen, too, they followed a star by God's doing and they also obeyed God in dream in going to see baby Jesus.

Is there a thread to post a dream and ask for interpretations? Yes, I have had open visions, the anointing also comes upon my eyes when praying or in worship. My eyes go into rem, & I see golden light. God will show me a vision like a scene unfolding.

but why don't you take a portion or sample of your experience and give it out for free so people who wants to find out more will buy your book.

you are not the only one God told to write a book.

I love their testimonies of seeing heaven,

and I would like to hear your experience.
I know you are obeying God's words.
So if he did say you should write a book..do so.

but I advice you to post a sample for us please.

Has God spoken to you in other ways? YES
In His word, in a song, through a person and the still small voice.

Do you think God gave me a message in my dreams? I do not know you, but if he did and you are selling what GOD gave you for free then you are not a servant but a hired hand. If I were you pray about what you are doing.

We can strengthen our faith by sharing it with others. YES

GOD uses symbols all through his word, Every thing has a meaning colors , items find the meaning of the ones in your dream and then let your heart and his word lead you to what you seek.
Sometimes the answer comes right away or you may have to wait, but write it down pray and seek . God likes to speak in pictures and shadows because it draws us to him to find answers. If You go to someone who is not a strong Christian you may get an answer but it may not be right. Seek God he gave you the dream and if you seek out him and his symbols you will get the answer.

I started having dreams in my late teens -- all about Jesus' return. Later saw much of what I dreamt in scripture -- in my early 20s I had two visions. Again about Jesus returning and later also found in scripture.
however, when I need the church to explain the visions they choose to lay hands on me to cast out the devil.
so much for sharing it ha ha
it took almost 25 yrs before I was ready to share them and I doubt if anyone believes me when I do but it happened I believe it was God it changed my entire course in life it kept me alive in times of danger. it made strong my hope.
now it is like the verse in psalms
My soul longs, yea even faints for the courts of my Lord, my heart and my flesh cry out to the living God.

If God can make a donkey talk to Balaam, I think He can pretty much communicate with us via any method he chooses! But, one must be extremely careful of dreams - our adversary and that late night pizza can do some talking too....

Hi Guys,
Yes God does speak to His people today. Jesus probably comes to all people. I feel that all people could probably give you at least one instance of His working in their life. Many people take this to mean that all is well between them and God. I personally believe that it is important how you respond to His manifestations, not that you have received one or many.
Personally, I am blessed and kept by Him and He has appeared to me time and time again in a multitude of ways. I did record many of these on this site some time ago. They are on a thread called, "witnessing and university scholars."

Our experiences, visions and dreams are notoriously unreliable and should always be checked from a subjective frame of reference, which is the bible. Experience, dreams and visions is what has led many astray such as Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon religion and many more false religions.

Hebrews 1:1-2, 1God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

Do you want to know what the Son says, then read His word the Holy Bible. 1 Thessalonians 5:21,21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.

God does not give anybody any new revelation regarding His Redemption or future prophecy than what has already been giving in His word. However, God may speak or pull you (via Holy Spirit) in which direction to take in your personal life, or perhaps a local church body.

Sorry Nathan Leal and all you other dooms day prophecy babelites.

I know almost exactly how you must have felt following your dreams. Whenever a person has a dream or vision that they feel came to them direct from God they need to ask themselves several questions.

Are you sure in your own mind and based upon your faith that your dream or vision came from God?

Did your dream or vision give you a clear message? Do you need help interpreting your dream?

Is your dream or vision in compliance with scripture?

Was your dream wishful thinking or a grand delusion of your subconscious mind?

If you have addressed the above issues then you know how wonderful it feels to have been touched directly by God. There is no greater reward or gift that we could receive in this life. I know how it feels to have your dream or vision touch your deepest emotions and reach to the very core of your being and faith. I know that words cannot describe the feelings and emotions that you felt when you knew that your vision came from God. I know the strong compulsion you had to share your dreams. I know that your need to share was not because of pride or boasting. I know that you had been given a special gift and that you desperately want to share your gift.
I know that there will be a few who question your faith or sanity. Their fear or disbelief is their great loss.

I know that you have felt and that you will always feel somewhat isolated. Your dreams and your contact with God has placed you in special place that no one who has not been there and walked in your shoes and experienced your dreams can fully understand. I know that you do not feel that you are better than others or that your faith is greater. I know how it feels to know that your spouse, family, friends, and church friends may support your dreams and faith, but also to know that they truly cannot fully understand your experience.

To be given a dream or vision directly from God is a precious gift. You have received a gift that you should honor and cherish. If you’re your dream or vision was such that you feel God wanted you to share it, you must pass your gift on to others. Please know that no matter how many times you give your gift to others, your gift will continue to grow and enrich your life and faith. God gives us dreams or visions because he wants us to share them with other Christians so that we may all become closer to him.

I was in my faith trying to grow in my understanding, and living with a friend that I had brought into the faith. We were both somewhat new to the faith. I asked him one day to pray with me and ask god to give me a dream, I don't remember what exactly we were praying for but I believe it had something to do with my or our future. After that we went to sleep. In the middle of the nite my friend woke up and got on the floor and started praying again for me to have the dream, he told me this the next day after I told him I had had a dream. This is the dream.

In the beginning of my dream I was in the living room of a house. There was one of them old time furnaces, used to heat up the house, in the living room by the door. I had got down and stuck my head into the fire in the furnace. After that, I pulled my head out of the fire and went to the bedroom to get my friend(the one that prayed with me). after geting my friend in the back room we came to the living room. I noticed people in the living room with us. We went to the front door and opened it...when the door was open all we could see in front of the door was water directly outside the door and clouds moving over the water. It was an ocean or sea of water. I thought to myself there is going to be an earthquake. It was an awesume site to see. We looked out the door and watched the clouds move over the water, and into a city. The clouds filled the city. It was a big city with huge skyscrapers and the clouds filled the city and was mixed in with the skyscrapers. That was the end of my dream

I know what the beginning means: I joined the faith before my friend, but then I walked away. And when I came back to my faith I brought him with me, we both attempted to let go of our life and follow scripture together. The end of the dream seems to say that we watch god(the cloud) move over a mulitude of people(water) and fill the new Jerusalem, the city of god.

If this is what it means and I feel that it is, then we may be seeing the lord in our lifetime.

We should all repent before its to late.
