I can't veiw the page, but I will say as far as the Nephilim goes the word Nephilim is translated in to the word "giant". Nephilim is not a race. It is stricelty referring to the physical characteristic of a man.

Here's what i understood
The nephalim are the offspring of fallen angels
Don't know the exact scripture but to paraphrase the angels lusted after the women and had sexual relations with them, hense the nephalim were created, and someone said the flood was to destroy the nephalim, haven't found that in scripture

The nephalim are mentioned in the book of Enoch, the book that doesn't belong in the bible.

Giants did exist though. What about Goliath?

Maybe you should Google the story behind those photos and see what you find.

the first photograph is a hoax...you can tell because the shadow angles of the 'giant skeleton' don't match the shadow angles of anything else in the picture...most obviously the man in the background...

the second picture is just an illusion of perspective that makes the skeletons look much bigger than they really are because they are closer to the camera... here is another picture of the same dig site where the sizes of the skeletons are more clear... http://www.luisescobarblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/Nephilim-optical-illusion-2.jpg

the last one has 'urban legends' right in the link...that should be a giveaway...

there are actually people whose hobby is to make fake photos of giant skeletons...a site called worth1000.com actually holds contests for that...

Yeah, they could trace some photoshop errors--coping the same skull to different pictures, elongating bones to appear make them appear more humanoid, etc...And I have a friend who is an archaeologist and who knows for sure that the way some of the people in the photos are handling the bones would have been a big no-no for such a find.

Apparently, it started with some sort of contest...

Wow, these people out there have too much time on their hands.

Next time I'll research something more before posting. Thanks for pointing this out.

Photos aside. Genesis says the sons of God saw the daughters of man and seeing they were fair took all of them they chose and the offspring were giants, mighty men. Men of renound. Then after that God flooded the whole earth sparing Noah mentioning he was pure in his generations...all of that is more than just a little odd, especially since a generation specifies offspring and not just a personal life

The Bible account describing Jehovah’s displeasure with men in the days of Noah before the Flood relates that “the sons of the true God” took for themselves wives from among the attractive daughters of men.

It then mentions the presence of “Nephilim,” saying: “The Nephilim proved to be in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of the true God continued to have relations with the daughters of men and they bore sons to them, they were the mighty ones [Heb., hag·gib·bo·rim′] who were of old, the men of fame.”

(Genesis 6:2,4) "..[In Noah's day] the sons of the [true] God (ANGELS) began to notice the daughters of men, that they were good-looking; and they went taking wives for themselves, namely, all whom they chose.."*(The offspring of these Angels and Human females is as follows) verse 4; "..The Neph′i·lim proved to be in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of the [true] God continued to have relations with the daughters of men and they bore sons to them, they were the mighty ones who were of old, the men of fame.."

So the children of these Angels who had relations with Human female were superhuman, Giants, the Nephilim. This explains why Greek mythology has so many stories with god coming down and having intercourse with women which produced "demi-gods", all of which were men of fame such as Achilles and Hercules.

The idea that these sons of God were angels is the oldest belief if I am not mistaken. There are other verses in the Bible that give credence to the idea.

It's clear that the sons of God in Job were indeed angels

Job 1:6
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Job 2:1
Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

And these verses give credence to this idea as well.

1 Peter 3:19-20
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Jude 1:6-7
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Adam was the first 'angelic' looking being, for he was created in the image of the LORD, which is that of a man, and the Likeness of the Lord, which is Light (see GEN1:26-28;Ez1:26-28; 1Jn1:5): and Eve was the second, who is the Mother of ALL LIVING and is elevated above the 'angels' because she is their mother (1Cor). Therefore, all born of them and their children before they 'fell' (sinned) are the host of angels; and all born after the Fall are the sons and daughters of man.

Realize that Adam is the Devil, and the Serpent (not a snake), and Satan, and others in scripture, because he is the first liar (Jn8:44), since he deceived Eve from the very Beginning by telling her a perverted commandment, one which he added to, and diminished from, and being the very one she regurgitated back to him (the serpent- Gen3:2-3) on the day she first ate the 'forbidden' fruit. Therefore, Adam is the father of both the good angels (the cherubim) and the bad angels (the seraphim), and also all mortals, being those born in sin: and Eve is their Mother.

"There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown" Gen 6:4

The word "Nephilim," translated as "giants" in the New King James Version, means people who were physically bigger than typical men or who were of outstanding skill (as in "he was a giant among men"). Notice that the giants existed before and after the sons of God married the daughters of men. The giants were not a product of the sons of God marrying the daughters of men. Thus before the flood there was a population of physically large men or very skilled men. The latter probably was what was intended since the passage goes on to say, "Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown."

"There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight" (Numbers 13:33).
Here again the word "Nephilim" is being used and again translated "giants," but here it is definitely referring to physical stature. Anak must have been an exceptionally large man and his descendants were large as well. "Where can we go up? Our brethren have discouraged our hearts, saying, "The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to heaven; moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there"" (Deuteronomy 1:28). They weren't the only nation of large people: "The Emim had dwelt there in times past, a people as great and numerous and tall as the Anakim. They were also regarded as giants, like the Anakim, but the Moabites call them Emim" (Deuteronomy 2:10-11).
Therefore, Nephilim is not a word for a race, but a characteristic of some people that crops up at times in the human race.
