Jesus, not God the father, became flesh. He is the son of God and He is God.
John 1:1, 14
1-In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14-And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hi starfield,
Why do people keep saying God made flesh, God come in the flesh? We all know that God's Son was with God at creation. We all know that the Son did not stay in heaven while God came in the flesh. We all know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We all have read Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne O God, is for ever and ever; a sceptre of righteousness is the scepture of they kingdom."
We all know that those who speak God's words are gods. IF God calls His Son God then it is so.
But
if God differentiates Himself from His Son, why should be ignore this.
The Son of God came in the flesh, to the body prepared.

1 Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory". That passage is identifies Jesus as God so the Son of God was made manifest in the flesh, not the God the Father made manifest in the flesh. If God the Father was manifested in flesh, was He praying to Himself in Luke 22:42 "Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done"? No, God the Son was praying to God the Father. The Father and the Son are distinct yet one in deity and power John 10:30- I and my Father are one (One in unity not persons). There are more passages of the scripture where Jesus spoke about His equality with the Father.

We know that Jesus Christ was the One who created all things (John 1:1-3), (Col 1:14-17), and (Heb 1:8-12). Some believe He has been the son of God for all eternity. However in the old testament He is never refered to as the son of God unless spoken in the future tense. In (Luke 1:35) the angel says the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. We see shall be in the future tense. When did He become the Son of God? The same time He became the Son of man. When He was born of the virgin Mary. Some believe the term Son of God means He is some how lower or less than God. I would dare to ask who was Jesus' earthly father? Some may say joseph. But biologicaly speaking Jesus had no earthly father. Yet He is called the Son of man several times. How can this be? We know this term does not mean He was lower or less than a man. This term Son of man simply is showing His fullness of humanity. The term Son of man simply means in everyway that we are human, Jesus was also human. So when we read the term Son of God we can apply this same principle. The term Son of God simply shows that in every way God is God thats what Jesus was and is. God bless
