Meh...
It's one those tangents that distract.
Like where does the sun go at night.

The dead are asleep is plenty good enough for me.

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

This verse tells us that the breath of life+ the body= living soul

The body lays in the grave And there is no consciousness without the breath of life.

Can I show you somethng about the SOUL! Firstly I would like to thank our Lord Jesus that he sent me a TRUTH minister to make we aware of this, and that I finally also understand this.

When God made Adam, God placed the soul in the blood. So! Adam was completely made and he had body (flesh and blood). And then the Word says... Gen 2:7.. The Lord breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a LIVING SOUL! So life came to the soul when the spirit came into Adam.

Now we learn this about Rachel.... Gen 35:18... as her soul was in departing, (for she had died) .... We learn that her soul was departing. We know that without spirit the soul is dead, but with spirit the soul is alive. And this is all true what we read so far.

Now I wnt to show you who's souls leaves to be in a good place and whose souls remain and are dead in hell.

Animals first. The soul of the animal is in his blood, as is ours! But animals has NO SPIRIT! That is why the bible teaches that we are not to eat animals blood, but that they should be slaughtered and not suffocated. 1 Sam 14:34. Deut 15:23. Deut 12:23. Etc.

Now as our soul is also in our blood, and the spirit God ut in us gave life to that spirit, that is how we became a living soul. I saw that with all my children. Especially my son whom I myself "CUAGHT". I saw this little purple and blue body come out of his mother's womb. Believe me there was no "LIFE" in that little thing. Then God adds spirit to the litlle boy and his color changes from that dead blue and purple to the most beautiful pink!

The breath of life (spirit) that God puts into that little thing to make it alive for the FIRST TIME A LIVING SOUL! is absolutely the most beautiful thing to date in my life. Now! Let us see about that same little boy as he becomes lost and found.

This same young man is born INNOCENT to sin.... That is why the Kingdom of God belongs to the children, but like all of us they grow up and sin, and LOSES the Kingdom of God. They actually loose LIFE. Adam wasd made not to die, but he sinned and now he will die! And he did. Same with us, we will all die. It is what and when and how we die that determines whetehr we will inherit the Kingdom of God again or not. Jesus said... He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my ake shall find it.

I saw scripture where five thousand men were made of ONE SOUL on one day. (Acts 4:32) They were five thousand lost souls at some stage, but God has SAVED them becasue they crucified their sinning souls. When we lose our life for the sake of Jesus, we crucify our sinning life. That is why Jesus said we should pick up our cross every day and follow Him. To crucify our sinning soul (life), and then He will give us a NEW SOUL (new life) in Himself!

I just know, that as we "die" to ourselves we will one day be found "Dead" but still breathing, and then God will change our soul for HIS.. Like he did for these men in Acts 4. It is like we were willing to lay down our sinning lives, and God will then give a holy life to us... right here on earth. It is like a spiritual swop God does... Paul said it best... I am crucified with Christ, onle Jesus lives in me.

Do you know where you go when God puts Jesus in you... To the Father. You are already in God when Jesus lives in you. Like the Word says... the first Cobus (Adam) was a living soul, the SECOND a quickening spirit..... 1 Cor 15:45.

And he will sanctify you wholly and preserve you BLAMELESS... Look what HE preserves... and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our LORD JESUS CHRIST! (1 Thes 5:23)

As we crucified our sinning life (soul) And God replaced it with HIS LIFE (Soul), we are now NEW CREATURES, that CANNOT DIE! And our souls will leave our bodies and go to the GOOD RESTING PLACE, and the other's that did not give up their sinning souls will REMAIN IN THE BAD resting place...

Let me show you where Jesus tells us wbout two men that went the different routes. One was saved and the other was not! There was a begger Lazarus and a rich man... Lazarus died and the angels carried him to the bosom of Abraham. and the rich mand died and was buried and in hell he lifted up his eyes and saw Lazarus and Abraham... See! two places... read it in Luke 16:20...

Ok! God saves souls, not bodies! And the spirit God gives us cannot die, but some will one day. God calls it second death. Revelation 20:14.

I hope this helps.

Paul tells us that to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord...so our soul that is the part of us that is our identity and awareness continues on while our bodies are in the ground till the day of Resurrection when our bodies and souls are united....this ofcourse only applies to genuine Christians....when the Holy Spirit came to dwell in us as believers and so that we became spiritual creatures...born again from a state of spiritual deadness that was the result of sin..one with God forever

Paul tells us 2Co_5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

He would "rather" be with the lord that is different than saying he will be with the lord. Not only that the context is talking about the resurrection so this is not saying that you will be with the lord as soon as you die. also compare with 1 cor 15:5-58

I believe the spiritual realm has no time, that is why people who have had near death experiences say thier lives flashed in front of them. So you can't say where does the spirit go coz the spiritual realm is not limited by our four dimensions of length, height, width and time. Thats what I believe. God bless

Phil 1v21-23:

'For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If it is to be life in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better.'

Bishop Lightfoot in his commentary on Philippians states that in 1v23, there is a triple 'far' and it would be better written as '...for that is far, far, far better.'

Paul is certainly NOT saying that nothingness after death (ie soul sleep) is far, far far better than living an earthly life in communion with the Lord!

In 2Cor 5v8, Paul is simply stating his preference, which is, if he is absent from the body he is present with the Lord, there is no doubt in Paul's mind where his soul and spirit go at death, which is into the Presence of God in Paradise in Heaven, Weymouth brings this out:

'We have therefore a cheerful confidence. We know that while we are at home in the body we are banished from the Lord; for we are living a life of faith, and not one of sight. So we have a cheerful confidence, and we anticipate with greater delight being banished from the body and going home to the Lord.'

Heb 12v22,23:

'But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect...'

Rev 6v9-11:

'When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying,"How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.'

In Rev 6v9-11 (The 5th Seal) we see the saints who have been slain by Antichrist during the Great Tribulation who are in Heaven crying out for God to avenge them of their adverseries...The 2nd Coming of Christ occurs at the 6th Seal (Rev 6v12-17) and the 7th Trumpet (Rev 11v15-19), up until the 2nd Coming of Christ and the setting up of the Millennium Kingdom, the saints are said to be 'resting' in Heaven.

And some words from the lips of the Lord Jesus in Luke 20v38:

'For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to Him.'

Plenty of other Scriptures teach the consciousness of the soul after death, not nothingness, ie 'soul sleep.'

Yahweh Shalom...

Just like being asleep and not having dreamed.

To be absent from the body and present with God is to die to flesh and live spiritually.
To enter the "kingdom of Elohim" which is here now for the taking. "At hand"

The breath of life is that mysterious effect where you continue to be kept alive without concentrating on it.
It "saves" you from "death" every few seconds. It is His name, the same name as the Son, the same name as the Set Apart Spirit. Salvation.
"in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit"

Father: YHWH, "pronounced" with silent consonants and no vowels, as one breath in and one breath out.
Son: "Ya will save"
Spirit: translated from "wind" or "breath"

"You shall not take the name of YHWH your Elohim in vain"
Not a single breath!

Peace.

Jesus did tell the thief on the cross, "Today, you will be with me in paradise."

He didn't say, "Today, I will be in paradise, but you have to be in soul sleep for a while."

Well the comma is in the wrong place. If the comma is left where it is. It would disagree with the rest of the bible so by the rule of Proper Exegesis We have to understand that comma is not "inspired" they do not have commas in the greek. But was added for understanding From the writer's own interpretation.

Luk_23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee To day, shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Emphasis added. This is where is should be.

He didn't say, "Today, I will be in paradise, but you have to be in soul sleep for a while."
But Jesus didn't go to paradise that day. He was dead. So He lied.
OR
He was misunderstood by translators and said "Today I tell you, you will be with me in paradise"
There was no comma. Not a dead horse, simple reconciliation of infallible scripture, through wanting to know.
Because we are also told that the dead "sleep" and have no thoughts.

As if to say:
"Remember you then? No, I have the authority to tell you NOW!"

I was saying that it means we wait until the Resurrection. We don't go Straight to heaven when we die.

He was just saying he has assurance that day and needs not worry.
