Job is a literary figure, you can't really count him. It's not humanly possible to be perfect.

God would have never called us to be Holy, if we are not capable of achieving it, we all have sinned and we all have sin , but we don't have to sin you mentioned Romans try Romans 6

Ro 6:1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?Ro 6:2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

The inspired Word of God tells us not to sin, Jesus told several people go and sin no more, and man says well Jesus didn't mean what He said He knows that they couldn't have not sinned no more .

1jo 2:1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

here the Word of God has said that we have a choice IF Any man sin , doesn't say when any man sins but IF any man sins look at these verses
1co 10:13There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

with every temptation God will provide you a way out, not ye were able to resist But God will make a way out . now watch this

2pe 2:9The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
with these last two verses. if one says that we still have to sin after coming to Christ is to say that God lied. He does not provide away out for his people and that God can not keep His promises and keep His people/ strengthen His people so that they can resist temptation.

It is a very dangerous doctrine to twist 1 John 1:8 and say that the bible says that we have to sin, it says that we have sin But nothing about that we HAVE to sin 1jo 1:8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

if we have flesh we have sin , but if we walk in the Spirit and not in the Flesh then we don't have to sin.

Ro 8:2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.Ro 8:3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:Ro 8:4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.Ro 8:5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.Ro 8:6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.Ro 8:7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.Ro 8:8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.Ro 8:9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Amen to this!

Your are right it is not humanly possible to be perfect, but through the empowerment of God through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit it is possible.

To God be the glory

Watchmen if you have that much power of God in you. You might want to try running for pope or we might want to prepare for the second coming.
It is not possible to be perfect. Not even Jesus was perfect. He had his doubts as anyone else (Oh god why hast thou forsaken me?)
After all if God knows your every thought he knows those quick thoughts that we can't help but thinking when beautiful women walk by, a brand new ferrari looks pleasant or if we just covet a bit of strawberry cake from our neighbour.
It is impossible to not have those thoughs.
We can repress them but that doesn't make us perfect. After all virtues are the human emotion that lets us overcome our obstacles despite their presence.
If you know no fear then you can't show courage.

You miss the point, when He said that it was because He became an abomination and a curse because as He suffered God's wrath for our sins he justified the wicked (believers). He also died to save us from ourselves that we may no longer live in sin after being justified by faith. It's Christ living through us that we walk in (His)righteousness not our own for we are dead.
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.
Matthew 5:48 Therefore be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
Paul said,
1Cor 11:1 Imitate me, as I imitate Christ.
I'm by no means a mature tree yet but as one growing I believe in the gospel.
A good tree will not bear bad fruit nor a bad tree bear good fruit.
through santification we will begin to share the mind and not just the spirit of Christ.
It's not as much what we do as a Christian but who we are I think.
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.
By no means are we to boast of ourselves as righteous but of the Righteousness of Christ.

Jesus was indeed sinnless, and through the empowerment of the Holy spirit we can become sinnless as well. Further the Pope? I doubt He is even getting into Heaven muchlless become perfected by God. Lastly you are right, we all need to start getting ready for the 2nd coming and during the tribulation God is going to weed out the corrupt with in the church so you better start dying to self now before it is to late.

Why must you be so judgmental? Who the devil are you to say that the Pope likely isn't getting into heaven? God's mercy is able to reach him no differently than it is you.

The Roman Catholic Church certainly has a lot to answer for, but the way you casually throw around condemnation disgusts me.

Wow, so now disagreeing with you is akin to disagreeing with God? I think I'll let that one speak for itself.

Being distgusted by God's truth, and disagreeing with me are not the same thing, but when someone speaks the truth of God and it disgust you then you are doing both.
#1 Disagreeing with said person.
#2 Being disgusted by God's true word.

It is sad so many are blind to the truth God has placed in His word, about the way we should conduct ourselves, and even sadder that people are disgusted by those that speak His truth, but of course Jesus said it would be so even within the ''church'' especially in the last days.

IT is a narrow line. We are called to be holy, yet we are incapable of it. We are to flee from sin yet all fall short of the glory, all sin. quote]

I thought this was good, I just thought of adding this vs. too!
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

What is the light other than love?

The contence of this thread has proven the O.P. true. People hate the subject of holiness and they hate those that speak the truth of God.

No watchmen. We do not hate holiness we hate the holier-than-thou attitude displayed by you. Who seem to be God's judge made manifest.

What if watchmen is someone sent by God, shouldn't we be careful what we say? God's prophets were not often accepted gladly by His own people who they came to.
Lindqvuist if you were half the person watchmen appears to be and listen to what he is saying, then your spiritual status in your profile would not read 'unsure' but 'saved'. I always think it's strange when people on shaky foundations determines who and who isn't doing what God wants them to do.
