Yea, It is sad.
It points to the preoccupation of western civilization churches to make one person a
focal point, a figure head of Christ.
"Some apostles, some prophets,........etc." the way of the true body of Christ is
not to set one person up as a figure head.
In the early church (and in chinese underground and other eastern churches), the pastor is for the care of the flock and to
set up the orderly progression of the church service.
Not to Lord over the body, but to orderly give way to evangelists and others moved by the Holy Spirit to have their say.
This is also what the deacons are for, to judge what is said as being from God or not.
The church was never meant for one man/woman to do all the preaching....with another certain one leading all the worship.
