Hey,
I wasn't sure where to put this...but I've been thinking lately that I need to start reading/ discussing the Bible more. I'll be honest, I'm just a wee little sappling on the journey to becoming a strong Christian grounded in faith and the Word. I really would like to take this step and really starting focusing more on my spiritual growth; however, I feel like I need someone who could help me along the way. I have no idea where to start...and I would like someone to be able to discuss Scripture with..we could do it over email or chat or something. I don't really have any strong Christians in my life outside of chat that I feel I could go to..so if anyone is interested in being a 'guiding light' as it were to help me on this journey or even interested in starting some kind of group study or something, that would be awesome and I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and God Bless!

I wanted just to give some quick advice that helped me a lot early on...

You should read the book of Hebrews extensively and thoroughly...I have long thought that it is a summary of the whole Bible almost...with a lot of other hidden manna in it as well...but pray over it and seek to understand it all...

I love the Psalms as well...they are incredible...and they show you so much about the Lord...and also strengthen you 'in times of trouble'--to quote the Psalms...because when you take refuge in them, you are taking refuge in the Lord, through His word...

There is a lot else that helped me...but I am sure you will find many people who will help guide you on this site or in your life or both...

May the Lord look after and watch over you always, so that you always perservere in Him

You can get free bible lessons in the mail or thr the net. Write Morgan Isom, 1199 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311. Thats what I'm doing right now with some other people. You will get a certificate. There easy and they help you learn. I'll help in any way I can. I say start in John. God bless you, Love

I would be interested in a Bible study/group or something like that. I doubt I could lead one since I'm just a little babe myself but let me know if you get something going.

I can tell you were to get a free book that will answer many, many questions about the bible, It is a Q&A book , But many people think this man is in error, But you an be the judge of that for yourself as to wether or not you agree. but you can just call up the family radio by getting the phone number from familyradio.com and from there and ask for "Open forum questions."

It is better to be involved with real persons in real life in a real local church that can hold you accountable much better than online. Make sure you are doing that first.

It's a great idea to start studying Scripture. I'm quite new to it too, but I've found it's my "favourite" part of being Christian. Anyway, doing it online shouldn't replace doing it in person with other Christians, like some others have stated. It'd probably be a good idea to find a good church with a decent Bible study. Also, assuming you're at university or college, you can probably find (at least!) one on your campus.

My university, for example, is by no means "Christian." It's highly secular, but yet there are at least four Bible studies that occur (that I'm aware of.)

Of course, starting one on this site would be a good supplement as well.

I'd be interested in discussing Scripture by chat or e-mail too.
