According to these texts paradise is where the tree of life is which is in the city of God in heaven.
Christ did not ascend to Heaven when he died on the cross, for he said to Mary when he rose from the dead:

'Do not hold onto me, for I have not yet returned to the Father.
John 20:17

Nice catch. This only proves that the Humanity is the one that spent three days in Abraham's Bosom. The one speaking is Jehovah. He was with the Father for those three days.

I hate to disagree with you sir, but the bible clearly shows Jesus was in the heart of the earth during those three days and nights, not with the Father.

Mat_12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Joh_20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Absolutely, Christ went to preach to the Spirits in prison immediately after he died on the cross(1Peter3:19) I don't believe we can consider spirits in prison to be in Heaven with God.

Look it says He was in the heart of the EARTH!
Mat_12:40
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
So it Clear to See Where the Lord Jesus went was paradise and Hell !

1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1Pe 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

Listen in the Flesh Jesus was the Son of GOD !When He spoke He spoke from His real Flesh mind !but in his Spirit ? He was Always God !

1Ti_3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Because it Only though HIS GOSPEL Any of us get Salvation ! Those that had died before He died for Us all Died in there Sins !Salvation is Only though What He Did for mankind
1Pe_4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Rom_1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

This is OUR LORDS GOSPEL!
1Co 15:3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
(1Co 15:4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

The LORD HAD to BE RAISED FROM THE DEAD FIRST!
1Co_15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

I hope this blesses someone ! Truth is so important!

This is the humanity, not Christ. Christ would have been recognized by Mary.

Again! This is the humanity, not Christ.

Rom 8:11 KJV - But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead (Jehovah) dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Rom 6:4 KJV - Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Jehovah was sent into Abraham's Bosom to raise Jesus, the humanity and the Gospel of the Kingdom. This happens as the stone is removed, on the third day.

Jhn 20:17 KJV - Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and [to] my God, and your God.

To say that Jesus ascended to himself, is kind of foolish.

No he t wen't to hell to take away the key of death from the devil, What a shock it must have been to see jesus there. I can see it now... jesus walking up to the devil in shining light as the demons tremble and shriek in fear, I bet the devils jaw dropped Like wait didn't i just kill you!?
No He didnt. Satan didnt have any keys. Death was mans judgement. Jesus Christ paid the debt to the Father.
Jesus holds the keys to death and hell by His atonement.

Mat 3:2 KJV - And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat 4:17 KJV - From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat 10:7 KJV - And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Jhn 3:13 KJV - And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven.

This speaks of the humanity who is in the Kingdom of Heaven, i.e. The Body of Christ.

Jhn 3:14 KJV - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Jhn 3:15 KJV - That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Jhn 3:16 KJV - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

There is a distinction between the Son of God, Jehovah, and the Son of man, Jesus, the humanity. The Body was created for Jehovah. Since the body must also have a soul the humanity had to be present. By law, the soul, being Jewish, had to go to Abraham's Bosom.

Luke 23:43
And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Luke 23:46
And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, "Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT." Having said this, He breathed His last.

Does this sound like Jesus went into Hell?

Acts 2:27
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. KJV

Acts 2:27
[SUP]27 [/SUP]For You will not leave my soul in Hades,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
NKJV

because Thou wilt not leave my soul to hades, nor wilt Thou give Thy Kind One to see corruption; Young's Literal Translation

because You will not leave My soul in Hades, nor will You give Your Holy One to see corruption. Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

Yes sir, Stephen63, King James Version strikes again!

Yes, but don't you know that King David is a type to Christ? The reason Peter brought up this passage is because it pointed to Christ, this is a prophesy of David that points to Christ.

Psalm 22 is an excellent depiction of what happened on the cross.
