Only thur HIS Gospel do any get SALVATION ! Everyone had to have the chance to accept it !First He had to have it !
This is our LORDS Gospel and the Only way to Salvation !

It about what HE did !Not what we do ! He did it All , We just accept What He did as truth and HIM from our Heart [spirit] as LORD! He is Already ,But we must Agree !

Yes jesus went to hell to take the key of death i believe, the devil had no clue that in killing jesus it would save us all otherwise he would have done everything in his power to stop it. It must have been a shock to have the the almighty god waltz into your domane and take away the key of death from his hand. He must have been like wait! didnt i kill you!? What are doing here!?

I HAVE NOT done greater works !But have raised the dead ,healed the sick and cast out satan himself !Yet Am NO MORE than the least in His body and true unseen church ! He given Us All the same Power of GOD [Holy Ghost] as the disciples have ! God is no respecter of persons !

Luk_11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

We have Everything within our Spirit !We have the Giver .God Holy GHOST ! We can never get high minded ,after all He does it all and can use a rock or donkey ! Still He wants to use us if we are Willing ! It all done by Faith and in the Mighty name of JESUS CHRIST 1 None of us are more or less in HIS Body !He alone is the Head ! We hear and follow ONLY HIM !

Joh_16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. They held high places in GOD kingdom ! They have already been judged evil and cast out of heaven ! That why GOD had to create a new heaven .these fallen angels defiled the old heaven ! They cannot enter the new heaven [New Jerusalem ] !

Eph_2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Not hell exactly,He went to sheol- a kind of temporary heaven for people who died before His coming and death,like when the rich man died and went into sheol and he could see lazarus on the other side,then he asked for just one drop of water.anyways,the reason Jesus descended into sheol is so that He could proclaim His victory over satan and his demons(some demons where bound in sheol after rebelling and some roam the heavens and earth with satan working against God)He went to take His old testament saints(who were in the paradise side of sheol) and at the same time He declared victory over His already bound mortal enemies.btw,hell is not yet 'opened' and it will not be satan's kingdom because he will be burning just like the rest.so the paradise side is now vacant because christian souls just go directly into heaven.

one or more Prince seem to befit a dual refrence of natural and spiritual but, because i read no prince was mentioned as a human being Herrod or Pontius Pilot who else was a son of a King involved in the trial of Jesus? I find no son of a King involved in the trail and cruxifixion of Jesus.

He was totally drunk with hate and did not comprehend the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus, because no one ever died with the Holy Spirit in them as in Jesus, for Jesus had the power of the Holy Spirit to resurrect, this is what surprised satan so what if Jesus said that he would rise from the dead he was drunk with his insane hate and this blinded him to believe and see how Jesus would do what he said. Resurrect rise from the dead take his keys and shut the gates of hell. Satan could not figure that out! Praise God for His infinite wisdom taht without Agape satan can not win or defeat us.

All scriptures have a spiritual meaning ! But not all scriptures have a fleshly meaning !
the Battle is a Spiritual one !

Eph_6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Col_1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

We must think spiritual First ! then judge it carnal !

It the Spiritual things that are eternal and Most important ! satan was trying to kill Jesus and thought he had ! he got fooled and JESUS came here to die for all mankinds sins !
had he known it ! he would have done everyrthing in his evil power to keep HIM ALIVE !

1Jn_2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

satan can only use people to0 hurt people ! he a coward and doomed ! the least christian can cast him or any of the demons out !They fear Us 100% ! I doubt any of us know the full Power we have ? But we have the Holy Ghost that created All that was ever Created within Us ! I am NO MORE than the Least in the KINGDOM of GOD !Yet i have though the Power of the Holy GHOSt cast dsatan out before and healed the sick and raised the DEAD three times ! It for All of Us 100%
miracles Do not make us More or Less ! We can Never get High minded , as we KNOW He can use a rock or a donkey or anything or anyone HE WANTS !

Never did greater works i know of ! I have not did all that much for a life time ! i am 66 years old !

One posssibility that was an effort of satan was to kill Jesus in the garden this was a contributing stress of sweating drops of blood Jesus knew he must get to the cross or else His life would not be sacraficed for man's sins thus man could not be saved and He could not present souls to the Father for the Joy set before Him that being the Joy he would give to the Father He endured the cross to be able to introduce all those He saved to the Father.

Heb_9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

1Pe_1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Mat_25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Heb_4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

This Last day is our last day on Earth in these bodies !
Joh_6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Mat_27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Mar_15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

In the Flesh Jesus was the Son of god in His Spirit He was always a part of GOD ! when He spoke He spoke from His real flesh mind ! He had real feelings !

Luk 19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

To show who in their free will which ones choose God by CHOICE at all times...under all circumstances not just when it suits them.
Even if the devil knew Christ would be coming to take the keys soon, he likely still delighted for a short time in the way he went about making Christ suffer the way he did.
It may have been satans moment of his own glory even if he knew he was getting his butt kicked soon.
I kind of feel this is one reason Christ had so much anxiety toward the end before his crucifixion, even weeping tears of blood in anticipation knowing that it was almost like giving his adversary satisfaction, even if short lived, and very likely why Christ asked the father to forgive them, for they knew not what they were doing(being led by satan like dogs in a pack to influence others to join in the taunting of their savior not realizing the influence behind what they were doing).
Had the devil delayed in the onset of crucifying Christ, more people would have been more quickly led to God and saved as he walked the earth. So its also likely even if the devil knew Christ was coming to take the keys soon he probably wanted Christ off the earth as soon as possible the devil waiting drooling, with baited breath for the approved go ahead to initiate what was to follow.
Remember, Satan couldnt touch Job without first seeking Gods approval.
To Satans own demise of course,
But then again this is why in Revelation it is said,
whoever is unjust let him be unjust still, because God will still use them, although it was their own choice for hardening their heart.
I know someone whom before being saved set out to become a mercenary, and going into the military for the best of training thinking they would be killing for God ridding the planet of evil, until he heard Gods voice tell him plainly, "alright then, if that is your choice, I will use you for that, but it will cost you your salvation"
This revelation stopped him in his tracks and he turned around later becoming a Pastor saving souls for God instead of killing for God.
All things work to the glory of God, and this last fact my friends, is part of where our peace is derived.
God has it all taken care of and there are no worries when we follow the voice of our good shepherd instead of our own voice or the voice of others.

satan only knew the scriptures ! He did not have a full understanding of GOD plans ! Even the Angels in heaven did not know !

1Pe_1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

he knew the messiah was coming ! he thought he did good getting the people to kill him ! but found out that caused him to lose everything !

Now the demons know there time is short !
