It showed us the depravity of man, the wisdom and love of God and gave us life,hope,peace and reconciliation. with God. The veil was torn annulling the penalty of the law and making one new man out of Jew and Gentile and I could go on and on and on and...

By dying on the cross, it seems to me Jesus saved us from eternal torment by Satan. Satan could torment us eternally for each of our sins, but Jesus ransomed us from that. This shows us how much God love us.
