This thread is merely asking the question:
Does God have a choice.
Does God actually have a choice in salvation, or is it left up to mankind.
After He(God), did His work.
Who elect's who?
And how do they go about it?
This is the question of this thread.

I will start:
I believe it is God and not mankind who elects.
If man could, he would include himself in all sorts of self righteous acts to get to heaven.
Much like the pharisees did.
Mankind would cane himself, he would appoint certain moral plateaus to reach-(by his own power).
Mankind would be-(and is), like the pharisee who saw a publican in the temple, smiting his breast, and asking God for forgiveness as he was such a sinner.
Mankind would judge the same and thank the Lord his God that he was not 'made' like that other man.
This is what the spirit of man would do, if it could save itself.
Also, men would be like(as unto) chivalrous, averous swine; making for themselves rules and tenants which hold to their own righteousness as the key to entering into
the Holy Place.
Of course it would always be their own.
Else what good is it to serve a Holy God,.....if you can't impress Him with your own?(Holiness).
Does God have freewill?
Or does mankind elect themselves?
(In other words, does God set out a template of righteousness for man(by his own will) to follow?

Why the "unto"?

God always had several choices.

He made His. One was to make salvation available to all. Another was to love us whatever we decided. A third was to be just. A fourth was to let us know these things.

Now it's our choice.

Yes, but the question was concerning God's freewill vs. man's self election.
"Now it's our choice" means we decide?
We decide on our own?
Or does God give us the faith to believe?
That is the question.

Does God have a free will? NO! He has an enslaved will.... Every person God selects HE DEMANDS TO BE LIKE HIM! God has NO free will. Jesus showed it when HE was here on earth, and God confirmed it at least twice, as I can recall.... Jesus said even the Words HE speaks is not HIS OWN.... why, if Jesus had a free will would He not have spooken HIS OWN WORDS... and when He prayed, He said NOT MY WILL but YOUR's Father. Was it the will of Jesus that God's will be done, or was it God's will? Jesus was God so what did HE SAY? He showed how we should pray... Father let THOU WILL BE DONE! If His will is done, where is mine? See! If you want God's will be done YOU GET RID OF FREE WILL! You HAVE NO WILL.... There are only two wills.... God's and Satan's... And the two HAVE NO PART with eachother.

Free will is not in the Bible, so I guess even God does not recognise it. Oh you have a choice, you can choose to follow ONE of the TWO options, but the one option was already chosen by God, just praay you are in that option!

Every person God selects for HIS Kingdom, will have NO FREE will, but God will IMPLANT His will and HIS Spirit in them. God's Spirit has NO free will. That is how God selectrs, and seperates HIS people from the others.... Gos DOES not love all.... He said..
Rom_9:13
As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
I get the Truth as God gives us love, or shown His love by sending His Son, and whosoever recieve that love, will LOVE HIM, and those that does not, will NEVER love God, and HE WILL NOT KNOW THEM!

Whoever, God loved and those that loves HIM, HE CHOSE to love FIRST, so there is no boasting about this. But what about the ones that will NEVER love God, did he love them, even if HE NEVER KNEW THEM? NEVER knew THEM!

The BOOK of life was written before the earth was made, we have NO editing power in that book, we cannot even get the names before It is opened! I only pray m y name is in there.

God gives us what we need to know we have the choice. We decide. If need faith, He gives us enough faith to know, but not enough to force us. Love is not love if you are forced to love back.

37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

God elects then Jesus laments over the ones He doesn't elect. Figure this one out please?

Romans 8:16
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,

2 Corinthians 1:22
21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, 22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

If you are not sure, then you haven't place your faith in Him!

It depends who you ask sir..

Yes He could choose..but if God sent someone to hell for no apparent reason but just because,it is a violation of his Holy Nature. God is then responsible for ordaining sin, and ceases to be Holy and good.

God gives us the ability to choose, it is called libertarian free will. Free will given by God to man because he values genuine relationship and seeks it to be true relationship between himself and man. Any relationship that is forced upon you ceases to be a true relationship, not a real relationship in plain english terms.

Who is elect? The believer who truly believes, and walks with God,the one who has repented is elect. Those who he knew would accept them, these, and all of these who accepted him were given the right to be his children!

How? By faith, by not resisting his Holy Spirit.

The fact that Jesus wept over Jerusalem is either A) sincere(I believe it was) B) a sick disingenuous showmanship like theatrical act upon which this paints Jesus in a very insincere manner.
