1 Timothy 2:2-7
2 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, [SUP]2 [/SUP]for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, [SUP]4 [/SUP]who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. [SUP]5 [/SUP]For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, [SUP]6 [/SUP]who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, [SUP]7 [/SUP]for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle

God our Savior, [SUP]4 [/SUP]who desires all men to be saved (predestination as Calvinist teach it is incorrect).

who gave Himself a ransom for all, (limited atonement is a false doctrine)

This is clear, interpret the unclear in the Word with what is clear.

John 6:37

[SUP]37 [/SUP]All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. (All who are in the Church Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, will come to Christ: for there is no other way to God but through Christ Jesus. And it is God's desire to Give Jesus Christ the Church, the One Body, the bride for Jesus earned and proved Himself worth of it, for He was the only who could open the scroll: Revelation 5. And my no means whom ever comes to Christ Jesus will Jesus refuse or turn away.

John 17:6-10

[SUP]6 [/SUP]“I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. [SUP]7 [/SUP]Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. [SUP]8 [/SUP]For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. [SUP]10 [/SUP]And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. In other words, I believe is saying "“Father, You have given Your people to Me as Your great love-gift to Me, and Father, I give them back to You as well, entrusting them to Your care for all eternity.”

Psalms 2:7-8
[SUP]7 [/SUP]“I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.

We can debate this all day long, but I'm not going to....If you believe in predestination in the sense that God damns some to hell and some to heaven, based on nothing but God's prerogative, fine, Believe it. I choose not to debate this with you any more, I simply am going to chose to love those who disagree with me. I will not call you names or treat your with contempt no matter what you think of me...I don't have to answer to you, and you don't have to answer to me, we have to answer but to One, the judge of all, Jesus Christ. It's really a disgrace to me now that we can't agree on the essential Christian doctrines, agree to disagree on the secondary issues with due respect for one another, and in all things charity. Love you all

To those who constantly argue over predestination and free-will, to the point where believers develop feeling of contempt for each other.

Which includes myself!

I think regardless of issue, we need to understand there will always be disagreements in beliefs. It's been that way since the church was first founded. I hold to several beliefs that are probably held only by the minority of believers on this site. If questioned, would I give a defense for why I believe them? Certainly. If we can't come to an agreement, then oh well. But for contempt to be developed... that's ridiculous and anti-Jesus.

The problem sadly lies in that many of the reform persuation have resorted to making the gospel of Jesus equal to their five point high calvinism, which to me is bad news. But that is the trend these days, many love the likes of Piper,John McArthur..etc. And do not even look into the indoctrination that goes on in the church of John McArthur..etc. That said, sadly this was going on back in the reformation times when calvinism was given a boost by the state and with the help of the state ousted the arminians, imprisoning some, killing others..some here will resort to making false statements and accusations of those who oppose them..calling us man centered, its unfounded. And I appeal that tolerance should exist, as Arminius pleaded for and appealed to..sadly even he was not immune to the vitriol and hate back then.

Hmm, I see this as a two-sided coin.

One one hand, I think a healthy and respectful debate can be good. It can help grow you in your faith, challenge others (in a Christ-like way, not a "Come at me bro!" way), and show you things you didn't know before. Granted, I haven't really read the threads you're talking about so I don't know if they were respectful or not.

On the other hand, Christians can sometimes get into such petty arguments that it's no wonder some people turn away when we want to tell them about Christ.

Though I guess there's also a third side to this coin (it's a special coin :p ) in which there are some threads on CC where the OP is clearly living in sin, basing beliefs off of standards that are blatantly not Biblical, or is blinded by their actions, and when people point it out, it may look like they're "not getting along", when in reality it's just a truth that needed to be brought to light.

God DESIRES all men to be saved, but will all men be saved? Nope! Actually the ones that are saved are FAR less than the lost. God says so... For the WAY to heaven is narrow and FEW are on that Way, but the road to hell is wide and MANY on that road.

Is it God's will that there are many there, NO! They are there because they love sin more than God. The one that will KILL them, him they follow, but the One that wants to save them (That does not want them on that road of death) HIM they ignore. That is a Biblical fact that NO MAN can change, not even Jesus can save a person that loves sin more than God!

Was this not the reason God created earth with man and spirit in man? So that the spirit can choose HIS OWN DESTINY? God allowed sin in heaven ONCE! He will NEVER allow it again. So God gives us, (the living spirit) that gives life to this EARTHLY VESSEL, to choose here between SIN AND GOD.... YOU CANNOT, not may not, CANNOT choose both.

So just as God wants us to be ONE BODY, it has to be a BODY as holy as Him. And FEW are there. I hope I am destined for that same BODY. And all there are in ONE AGREEMENT, One Spirit, One Father, One Truth.... Etc.

My friend the ones that are there has NOTHING to boast about, even there hate for their lives and the hate for sin came from God. NOTHING they did saved them, even the FAITH that saved them AFTER GOD GAVET HEM GRACE, is faith from God. So who are the ones that will go to heaven. The ones that recieved ALL God gave to Jesus! God gave them to Jesus, and Jesus to them! Hope you get this part!

I'm focusing on the secondary issues, yes we can debate them, but in liberty, love and charity. As far as the guy with the dead/flesh thing, we should rebuke him in love, pray for him, and then leave up to God and leave it be. We also should thinking about how we can unite under the things we agree upon and agree we are in the same body, instead of dividing the body.

Could have just said, "Y'all a bunch of heretics", and then the appearance of neutrality wouldn't have been so false. ;)

Afterall, it did kind of go like this:

Listen Y'all, let's get along! Let's get along ye heretics!

Getting along at the expense of false doctrine isnt biblical, the word will divide, those who love the truth and those who do not!

A Call to Repentance
[SUP]Joel,2-12 [/SUP]“Now, therefore,” says the Lord,
“Turn to Me with all your heart,
With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
[SUP]13 [/SUP]So rend your heart, and not your garments;
Return to the Lord your God,
For He is gracious and merciful,
Slow to anger, and of great kindness;
And He relents from doing harm.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Who knows if He will turn and relent,
And leave a blessing behind Him—
Here is more strong proof what the lord requires of Hiscreation to be reconciled to Himself, it’s very simple but made so complicatedby the heaps and heaps of pastors and ministries who have the nerve to saymankind does NOT have to repent to be saved.
They come with a simple plan that was concocted by manyreformed preachers and bible scholars, making the way to the cross more of asimple confession you are a sinner, then accepting the great substitution Jesusmiraculously made for them, but they fail to give any proof that the word ofGod let alone the King of Kings taught this non sense!
Many will fight with all they have to preserve theirman made doctrines including original sin, which then gives them many excusesto ignore the powerful verse above as well as many more strong warnings torepent, turn, come broken in heart before the mercy seat, and hope and pray Godwill grant pardon!
Now if this was being preached in the church systemtoday, and well understood by the saved in sin defenders, then the messChristianity is in today would not be so, instead, the word of God would becomereal, and powerful, converting the lost soul, once in love with sin, rebellionand the world, now cleansed and purged of all filthiness, and wickedness, readyto receive the implanted word of God!
But today these verses are totally ignored, andreplaced with a sin message, undermined by many, many, reformed errors, wheresimple repentance is lost in a sea of original sin, imputation, substitution,OSAS etc, producing a church that was called poor, blind and naked by JesusHimself!
[SUP]2 Corinthians 6;17 [/SUP]The.refore
“Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”[SUP][[/SUP]
[SUP]d[/SUP][SUP]][/SUP]
[SUP]18 [/SUP]“I will be a Fatherto you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the LordAlmighty.”[SUP][[/SUP]
[SUP]e[/SUP][SUP]][/SUP]
Act 26:20 Butto those first in Damascus, and Jerusalem, and to all the country of Judea, andto the nations, I made known the command to repent and to turn to God,doing works worthy of repentance.
Tommy 1-23-13
PS. We must come to Jesus on His terms, not mans, Iknow many are taught the opposite today, they either were indoctrinated intothese teachings at an early age, and refuse to even search the scriptures, search what the early church taught, or dig deep to see just how far off themark many liberal translations of the Bible are.
When the reformation came about, around the year 1500,many denominations were formed that took these errors and built on them, leading to what we have today! Many will profess anything different from whattheir beloved denominations teach is heresy, and a lie, especially those whocling to Calvinism, or any form of it.
This I understand, and accept, as God predicted thiswould happen, when the few remnant come with the truth. But it’s a bitter pillto swallow, when you see so many sincere people, young and old, so angry andupset when the truth is presented to them, and they attack the messenger.
To me this shows just how far off the mark they are intheir minds, they love the lie, refuse to hear anything else except the bornsinner, Jesus sub plan, made so famous by the likes of Billy Graham, Ed Young, and many more mega preachers, selling a gospel that is totally backwards fromwhat the early church and Christ taught.
Are we full of pride and arrogant to say these things? Are we evil, uncaring, and full of hate when we confront the wall of deceptionaccepted as truth today?
I guess I can also say this about the many who cling tothe saved IN sin message, repeat after me crowd, who has every excuse why theycan sin with impunity, then just confess, and then continue as a vile sinner inheart, where purity and separation is a pipe dream never to be accomplished inthis life, even though the whole council of God is against them.
Dig deep as commanded, have some confidence in the Lordto lead you into truth, not some ministry or church pastor you support, whoclings to these errors for whatever reason.
The gospel according to godliness is a TO DO gospel, which can only be received and understood in its form and context when thesinner wakes up and does this:
James 1-21-22;
[SUP]21 [/SUP]So get rid of all uncleanness(repent) and the rampant outgrowth ofwickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcomethe Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the powerto save your souls.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merelylisteners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary tothe Truth].!
1,You repent first and foremost, see 2 Corinthians 7-10-11.
2,Then if the repentance is real, and from the heart, godly sorrow as describedin 2 Corinthians, you then can receive the implanted word of God, andunderstand it as written by God.
3,Now you become a passionate doer of the word, obeying God from your heart, cleansed and purified, broken and willing to learn and grow more, and more inHis great truth.
