When I made reference to Christians being killed by Nazis, I was referring to the fact that Christians were indeed killed in those countries which Germany invaded. On the homefront, Germany violated a treaty it had just made with the Vatican that ensured the rights of Catholics to live as they needed to. We could argue if Germany had a right to do so for what they believed was their own national security, but that wasn't the main point I was trying to make (and I don't want to argue about it anyhow). In Soviet countries, particularly after the war under communism, the Soviets were very harsh towards the largest Christian denominations in their territories as they tried to build a Godless state in the name of rationalism...that largest group of Christians being the Orthodox. Poland is it's whole own story of sadness. It got a nice double whammy from the Nazis and then the Soviets post-War. I know a few of people who can tell me stories from their youth when they had to flee their homelands. One is Polish and another is from Slovenia. It wasn't a great time in those countries under Hitler/Nazis or Stalin/Soviets.
Well...one of them did take the time to hijack a German tank and run it into a lake...haha good for him.
