I was leaving a question or comment through email to a person claiming to be a Street Preacher and he replied to me with this

"You are just an unsaved fool on your way to hell. Repent and believe the gospel before it is everlasting too late"

That is the answer I got from him.

I put him in the category of people who wouldn't know pastoral care from pasteurized milk.

He's the fool, he can't judge you, and he doesn't know your heart.

Tell him that the first one without sin may cast the first stone. Tell him to judge not lest he be judged, tell him he doesn't know you or your heart. Tell him, hey buddy, nice way to win souls for the Lord, you need to read God's word and learn how to truly witenss, testify, and so on.

LOL.... ask him if he'd like some cookies to go with that milk, and shut his own mouth up before he turns even more people away from Christ....better a cookie and some milk than someone else's or his own foot I suppose.

I told him I was dancing to some Country Music like George Strait music and Cajun Music and wondered if he thought it was sinful. I am also originally from Louisiana so Cajun culture runs in my family.

Well no it's not sinful unless you are

a) dancing naked in front of others whom you are not married to for some sort of erotic dance ; or
b) dancing around in some sort of satanic ritual and sacrificing little kittens.

This is why we all need t be responsible for our own knowledge of the scriptures and our personal relationship with Jesus. THere's a pile of people out there that use the bible to further their own personal beliefs and biases. We have to be able to use the word to discern these kinds of things.

You won't go to hell for dancing. King David danced, albeit for different reasons. As for me, I believe that Christ's sacrifice even covers cultural dancing :)

Heb 13:20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant,
Heb 13:21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

"Working that which is pleasing in his sight". Now the Bible is not a book of specific do's and don'ts. For example, the bible does not say, do not smoke, do not go to dances, do not go to the theater, etc. etc. etc. So there's a lot of things that are not expressly forbidden.

However, God works through us to do those things that are pleasing in his sight. It is the joy of his children to please him in all we say or do.
Paul wrote, Rom 14:23 But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.
and 1Co 6:12 "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be enslaved by anything.

In the beginning, we may feel like we have the faith to do anything we darn well please. As the Holy Spirit guides us over time and our conscience becomes tender, we become more sensitive to those things that displease him. Now is it wrong to dance to secular music? Well that is between you and God. And if you are too afraid or too ashamed to reveal it to him, then it probably is.

If that was all you asked, he definitely carried alot of assumptions into his answer. Stupidity is only brain deep, but ignorance goes all the way to the heart.
