Is this post meant to be useful or condemn?

If you don't have victory - you must not have meant your sorry, or your not sorry enough - maybe if you would pray more, maybe if you had more faith

I can see this as damaging more than being helpful

God forgives you right now if you ask him
and he gives you strength to sanctify yourself and your desire for porn goes away when you choose to remain with Jesus the word of God rather than porn

A judge or police officer may forgive you right away, but they expect you to remain forgiven.

by the grace of god go and sin no more.
Amen. Exactly how I said it.... it is that Strength of God AFTER forgiveness that KEEPS THE SIN AWAY.... Jesus said in 1 JOhn 3 that He was manifest to TAKE AWAY OUR SIN.... I believe Jesus, if He takes it away, it is GONE FOREVER! That is the STRENGTH of God. His Son manefested in our lives... Without sin and without the urge to sin... behold for those in chrsit EVERYTHING is made NEW.... WOW!

Now this is a God I can trust, to REMOVE ME FROM ALL SIN AND ALL SIN FORM ME... WOW!

I pray this and sorry if it seems selfish....

Lord Jesus, please remove all sin from Cobus, and Cobus from all sin, and LET the Father's will be done in me as it is done in heaven, Forgive me my sins as you taught me to forgive others... 100%. And Lord if you did forgive me, and I am as pure as thow art pure, let thy Spirit and thine heart KEEP ME IN CHRIST and CHRIST in me. AMEN!

Salvation requires a coup D'etat

You must do good, be obedient, be holy, forgive others, not live according to the flesh, not love money, Love Christ and God, love others, love the truth , be childlike, tame the tongue, perservere, walk in the light, repent, and commit to a warfare mindset against the schemes of the evil one.

Personal holiness and kingdom service do not save us but they are symptoms that we are saved.

All the quoted responses above are reflective of the deception of an "abstract salvation" theology. These people all believe that the work of Christ was to effect an abstract judicial abstraction whereby God no longer looks at the true condition of an individual's heart, but instead pretends they are righteous.

Future sins were not forgiven 2000 years ago and the death of Christ does not effect an abstract judicial transaction which serves to cloak an ongoing manifest state of iniquity in the heart.

The real Gospel message encompasses a redemption from iniquity as opposed to a redemption in iniquity. We are not saved from sin and left in a state of bondage to it, that is to mock genuine salvation. God is not weak nor is His salvation weak and ineffectual.

The blood of Christ is to cleanse us from ALL iniquity and ALL unrighteousness in reality. It is not a forensic provision which covers a life where you can continue to sin and not surely die.

Jesus quite plainly stated that it is the pure in heart who will see God. Heart purity is a manifest reality in those whom are born again, it is not some forensic provision.

1Pe 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

No one obeys the truth through the Spirit being born again of the incorruptible seed by the word of God and still occasionally molests children. That is pure foolishness and it is truly amazing that people can actually be convinced to believe it.
And as I was sitting in the court room accused of all my sins i committed over my life, the prosecutor, ( Skinski7) in this case, ran a good run in all these accusations charged at me to the Judge, and I was scared to death, knowing I tried yet failed many times over and over, went for help to others openly confessed my failures in trying to see truth to be set free, and now stood accused of all i had done wrong. No defender was even at my side, and was suppose to have a public defender to get me free, knowing my motive. even though I failed

Then after this prosecutor was done is his accusations, the doors behind me flung open and in came my defender to defend me. As he started to Speak, he said all that the prosecutor said is true, and I sunk in my seat, annihilated, thinking I am done, there is no chance for me

Then This defender lifted up his Head and to the Judge, Father you know what I have done for Howard, and Howard asked me to be his cosigner to life everlasting and Howard tried and you Father know this, his motive was never in malice and he even did all he could and accomplished much and learned to trust me, your son in what I did for him, and improved along the way as he learned to give up on his self and die daily in self with me at my death for him. Look at the records Father you know the truth here

Father Judges slams Gavel down, and says "Not Guilty"
Prosecutor furious over God's Mercy and forgave me, why because Howard repented, changed his mind from unbelief to belief and learned to just love forsaking all those past accusations from who?
The accusers, Who is the accuser from day one
Love you regardless accuser(s) Love you deeper than you seem to know
[h=3]Ephesians 3:16-19[/h]Living Bible (TLB)

[SUP]16 [/SUP]that out of his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you the mighty inner strengthening of his Holy Spirit. [SUP]17 [/SUP]And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love; [SUP]18-19 [/SUP]and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God himself.

God is the only one that knows who are his and who has the contrite heart and who does not. thank you maybe it is time to be revealed truth?

One can not actually love without first seeing the Love God has for them

A distinction between "sin unto death" and "sin not unto death" is essential.

Sin unto death is the willful choosing to do evil knowing it is evil hence...

Jas 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

The sin that kills is "transgression."

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Therefore human beings have the two options of "obedience unto righteousness" or "sin unto death." We cannot do both, we yield to one or the other.

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Sin can be defined as "missing the mark" and that is inclusive of both willful sin and sins of ignorance. God corrects us of sins of ignorance, which could be likened to 'childishness' as you say, and we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Willful sin on the other hand defiles the soul and brings condemnation and the only means of escape is via a true repentance experience whereby we approach God via the blood of Christ seeking to be cleansed.

The children of God are manifest to the world by their deeds of righteousness. We therefore do not engage in willful sin. It doesn't mean that we are perfect in wisdom and knowledge and therefore free from erring, what it does mean is that our hearts are clean and pure before God.

1Jn 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
And this is not accomplished by flesh nature at all, and can't since all sin is, has been condemned to the flesh,(Rom 8:3) we all are in unredeemed flesh dead to the Spirit of God and are all born in the flesh from the womb as Son's of Adam. We all are in need of being born again, dead to being son's of Adam to Son's of God through the resurrected Chirst not the dead Christ, in Spirit and truth
The death of Christ is to be our death to our selves with Chirst so that we can see new life in Spirit and truth
This is what Christ came to do was to give us what we are lacking; is life in the Spirit of God that Adam and Eve did not get, thanks to the tree of evil that they ate from, and we all thus since when born from the womb are all born of flesh in as Son's of Adam, dead to God, no life in the Spirti from the tree of life
This is waht Christ came to earth for was to redeem us, reconcile us and make us right to Father, why? So Father would give us new life in the Spiorit of Christ to walk as Christ in love to all
It is by Faith we are saved, not of works lest any man boast.
Love to all from Father thanks to Christ

Shouldn't we be going to God and asking Him to show us our "secret" (read unrecognized here) sins?

Psa 19:12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
Psa 19:13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

This is a case of ignorance is certainly NOT bliss.
A contrite heart knows it needs and seeks truth to be set free and God who begins the good work carries it out. God is Faithful to do this is God not or do yuo have to add your good works that say look, at me and what I did or not did. God who knows all secrets openly rewards those that are his and do not tell their left hand what their right hand does

Bottom line if you believe, you will be, God does not lie, when God said if you beleive God raise Son from the dead and believe is alive right here and right now, then you will be saved
So does everyone here believe Christ is risen? Then if do what will be?

Yep, and by what Christ told that to that woman caught in adultery, I am positive she wanted not to ever sin again. and tried much as I would too and have, when I read that. And this trying only eventually showed me I couldn't quit it all, a lot I could and was look at me attitude in pride over that and what I couldn't overcome annihilated in guilt constantly asking for more forgiveness only going right back to what I hated and did not want to do, yet did it over and over
And just got annihilated again and again, until one day I finally gave up stressed out and worried in total shame and yelled "I CAN'T". "I" give up, I can't be perfect I can't complete this task to be perfect
And the heard a very low tone in me that said Thank you, I (God) have been waiting for you to give up in you trying to do what no flesh can do, and or ever could since Adam. Only my Son Jesus could ever do this, and is why I (God) sent him to be:
1 John 2:2 and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

I said what? I have been trying to be right with you now fro a long time in trusting you, and went straight out of the gate to do right as a horse in a horse race does
Yes I know says Father, so are you done in trying to do what you now see you can't do?
Yes I am ready to just walk away, since I can't be perfect it is impossible
Then Father says, that is exactly what the enemy wants, for you to killed by all the incongruities of the word, in not comprehending truth of the word?
I said what? Father said I do not need for you to quit committing adultery? or any sin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! big pause!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I hear "You Can't" no one can or could after the fall, born of the flesh. The only one that could and did is my Son Jesus, whom I am well pleased in, and by him and through him all is made right to me, so I can not only live in you, more importantly through you, My son is alive not dead, this is what you arre alive by in Spirit and truth a gift I give you, do yuo want it?
"YES" and it is done now in me as it is done in Son, I walk by Faith not works lest I would boast and did in the past, so I no longer sow (think)
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

I today each day see to die to me my flesh carnal nature and sow (think) in Spirit and truth from Father through Son and am free from bondage as Father in Spirit and truth keeps showing me and growing me unto him, through trusting Father and Son alone
Praying those with Spiritual ears hear

The root of sin is iniquity in the heart. In other words a willingness to choose to do evil.

Godly sorrow working a repentance unto salvation serves to destroy that willingness. A wild horse must be broken before it will submit to a rider and a sinner must be broken before they will submit to God.

Therefore we are buried with Christ in the baptism of repentance whereby our old man is crucified once and for all that the body of sin be destroyed once and for all. That from henceforth we no longer serve sin because the willingness to do so has been destroyed and in its place has arisen a willingness to serve righteousness. That is what the Bible teaches.

The above does not occur in this accept and trust Jesus salvation message. The above does not occur in this "I was born a sinner and I sin every day in thought, word and deed" message. The reason is does not occur is because the crucifixion of the flesh with the associated passions and desires is viewed as impossible due to the belief in an inbred sin nature. An inbred sin nature cannot be crucified because it has nothing to do with the free exercise of the will.

We are all tempted by the natural passions of the flesh but those passions are not sinful. They are simply natural passions. Sin is when we give ourselves over (like animals) to fleshly desire and choose to do evil. That giving ourselves over has to stop BEFORE God grants forgiveness otherwise his mercy is mocked for it simple becomes a license to keep on sinning.
But by belief God give us a new heart right?

The fruits of Father is shown through the believer as the by-product of their Faith and how deep their Faith is?
The works in righteousness are from Father as they were in Christ and through Christ by Faith in Father's lead by the Holy Spirit that did the leading

Who did the works per Christ, himself or Father, is that not to be the same with us by Faith?

That is unbelief right the root?
hmmm - could be the ultimate root

surface idols can change - like porn to alcohol, etc

control
Significance
comfort

all could stem rightfully from unbelief that - God is in control, God gives me my significance, and God is my comfort

So if I do not believe God to have taken away sin, can it be done in me? I mean can I do it, because he did it?
And if "I" do it, what need do I have for God?
Will I glory in him for taking them away in me as well as the whole world at the death at the cross in Father's view or in myself for being able to control me?

[h=3]Colossians 1:22[/h]Living Bible (TLB)

[SUP]22 [/SUP]He has done this through the death on the cross of his own human body, and now as a result Christ has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are standing there before him with nothing left against you—nothing left that he could even chide you for;

[h=3]Romans 8:34-39[/h]Living Bible (TLB)

[SUP]34 [/SUP]Who then will condemn us? Will Christ? No! For he is the one who died for us and came back to life again for us and is sitting at the place of highest honor next to God, pleading for us there in heaven.
[SUP]35 [/SUP]Who then can ever keep Christ’s love from us? When we have trouble or calamity, when we are hunted down or destroyed, is it because he doesn’t love us anymore? And if we are hungry or penniless or in danger or threatened with death, has God deserted us?
[SUP]36 [/SUP]No, for the Scriptures tell us that for his sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day—we are like sheep awaiting slaughter; [SUP]37 [/SUP]but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. [SUP]38 [/SUP]For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels won’t, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God’s love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, [SUP]39 [/SUP]or where we are—high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean—nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us.

Just do not believe one part as in we are forgiven in and through the cross, 100% that we got to do something more than what God through Son has already done is forgiven us complete. Or that he is alive, risen
EX:

Is like one drop of ink in a glass of water and the whole glass of water is tainted
One doubt beset Eve and Adam, an d they ate

Jusy as one man sinned and all the world tainted, and one man did not sin and those that believe untainted
Made back to perfect from God the Father through Son

God give us a new heart by His power to change our heart. We must beg God to do this for us .we come to Jesus in faith believing his power is the only thing that can transform us from a sinner to a saint, then we wait, and when God does the new birth work in us , we will be changed in a moment and we will hate our sin and repent, trust and obey God for salvation. There is no forgiveness without a charge of heart, repenting and promising to obey God. Love to God. No sinner was ever saved, or forgiven without stopping their sinning. Yes, they must stop sinning to be forgiven. Love to all, Hoffco

Psalm 136:2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.

And others might give up, but God does not, for God loves us to the point one sees and reacts to walking away from Sin
Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

through trusting God alone is when completion happens in us the believers, yet much hard work to come to the end of the energy of one's own flesh efforts and then finally enter into rest, God's rest he has for us all through Son

All I have to say is God takes you like you are. He will clean u up and take care you.
You talk like they must first be clean of all sins before they can get saved. But no one is good no not one.
So if a porn addict must first be clean before getting saved there would be a lot of people who wouldn't be able to be accepted. Like Jesus said it is the sick who need a doctor not the Healthy.
And I believe if he was truly saved he would want to get better. And with God's help he would.

Hey all you Godly men.. I ask this.... Is the flesh stronger than the Spirit of God? Or does the Spirit of God go one way and the flesh the other.... If the flesh sin and the Holy Spirit is in the flesh does He sin with the flesh? Can a man of God, born of God still sin in the flesh and the Holy Spirit is also with the man in the flesh so the flesh actually beats TWO spirits to the punch?

Man your doctrine just does not make sence.... Is the Holy Spirit of God in your flesh? Do you have the Holy Spirit of God IN YOU. Are YOU IN HIM? what is in your flesh that can sin? If I take the spirit out of your flesh, can the flesh still sin. Because it is the Spirit that gives the SOUL life.

What sin in the flesh? the flesh cannot sin by himslef. It is just FLESH.... It has to be the FILTHY spirit and soul of the man that sin. Homewardbound why does God say that whosoever is born of God sinneth not... is there not ONE SINGLE man here on earth that sinneth not? Is there on man that CANNOT sin. Do not tell me the flesh sin and the person in the flesh does not? Flesh does not have a will of his own. I looked at many corpses, they do not sin! Theay have no spirit in them that CAN sin. Flesh only does what is in the heart. Sin does not start in the flesh it starts in the heart...

Look at this... Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Now can I be a servant of God and sin? NEVER.... Sorry my man I just do not get it because you teach in circles... Did Jesus TAKE away your sin or not... If He did how can you still do them? And if He did not then you are still servant of sin and not servant of Jesus. As easy as that.

Either JEsus is in your flesh and you are holy, or He is not in your flesh and you serve SIN. That is all and that is clear and the only sence there is. This mumbo that he will still fight for you when you died as a sinner, is JUNK. Jesus removes you from sin here and sin from you here on earth. That is the difference between sinners and God's children.... One lot sins and the other CANNOT.

a porn addict should hate his sin, as a christian, no you dont use positive thinking to change. your just setting yourself up for a fall. you get on your knees, disgusted by your sin and you cry out to god in prayer. you tell him that you need him to deal with it. that your shamed by what has been happening and only his power can free you. then he will enter in by the holy spirit and empower you to become more like him

Thank you Cobus, you are just who you are and I am just who I am

Amazing Cobus, how you used the carnal nature, to sin no more, and oh boy, I would not ever want to sin again, after even being born again as well as before. Being told to not sin anymore, as you just said one can’t is ludicrous, for you still sin whether a little or a lot, sin is sin no matter how little or small. I think everyone that is ever truly born again has sinned again afterwards in being born again. No one is exclusive of the perfect one Jesus Christ. Just as you have, and still sin I have, Paul had, Peter had, and John had, even after being born again, they all had sinned again whether a little or a lot, I see little, enough to keep them humble whenever needed to be humbled Why? Our flesh nature is not redeemed and yet, they all were and are born again, in Spirit not the flesh, until literal death. So Paul and all exclaimed consider while here alive now in the physical, reckon thyself dead to that imperfect flesh tent you are in. And so walk as he walked, as best you can, and are given to from God to do, by Faith

Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Is our bodies, flesh redeemed? And if they were redeemed, think I, you or anyone in a redeemed body would need God?
2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Philippians 3:10-21

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]10 [/SUP]that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; [SUP]11 [/SUP]if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, [SUP]14 [/SUP]I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. [SUP]15 [/SUP]Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. [SUP]16 [/SUP]Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. [SUP]18 [/SUP](For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: [SUP]19 [/SUP]whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) [SUP]20 [/SUP]For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: [SUP]21 [/SUP]who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
