Just saw him this past weekend. Claims he knows the things that were told to Daniel but were sealed until the latter days. Claims like this make me very suspicious.

He has some pretty interesting things to say concerning Bible Prophesy and the End Times. Do you think it is as close as he thinks it is. I know nobody knows the day nor hour, but we will know the season. What do you think about Jack Van Impe? Imposter or does he know his stuff?
Hasn't got a clue.

for the past few years jack van impe was making heavy use of the 2012 'mayan prophecy' of the end of the world to promote his ideas...

to me that goes against this warning from scripture...

1 thessalonians 5:22..."Abstain from all appearance of evil."

Rick Warren facilitates relationship between Christians and Muslims in a program he named "King's Way" that expresses a set of theological principles including acknowledging that Christians and Muslims worship the same God and agree with the principles of "love God" and "love thy neighbor." One of the principles states that neither Christians nor Muslims should attempt to convert each other to their belief system.

Saddleback is one the churches I've been a member of and I can tell you they had special events in which they reach out to Mosques in the community for picnics and Rick has engaged in Ramadan fasts with Muslims and addressed Muslim groups in Washington DC.

Rick Warren builds bridge to Muslims | muslims, warren, saddleback - Life - The Orange County Register

I understand what he is trying to do in building a more positive society but I disagree with Rick on his approach.

I believe Muslims are a mission field and Islam is a dangerous false view of the world.
no wonder obama chose him lol

If people are getting saved by watching some of those nuts, it should give us all hope that we can witness with some result.
people are saved not because of them, but in spite of them :)

Why bother talking about preachers etc. Lets just focus on the Bible.

Jack Van Impe and Rick Warren are two, very dangerous preachers ,who are leading many, believers in Jesus, to the lake of fire!
I do believe ,we are in the last generation and Jesus will return before 2068; 1948 +120 yrs. =2068. An educated guess on my part LOL, but how long does it take for one generation to die off? less then 120 yrs,RIGHT? right! see Mt.24:32-36,. What is the historical setting of Mt.24 = the bk. of Mt, yes; and? AD 33 +or- Yes; and? the whole Bible, yes; so look at Mt21:19, ".. Immediately the fig tree withered away." My interpretation,? Israel was about to be judged by God.(70 AD). as in Habakkuk 3:17-19 (God was about to Judge Israel) "Though the fig tree may not blossom. Nor fruit be on the vines;...Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD is my strength;.." YES,leonardronaldo, "In spite of them" God will not lose any of His"elect" unto sal.. Amen! Hoffco

1st, a Biblical generation is usually 40 yrs not 120. 2nd, some people apply the verse "this generation" to mean the date Israel took control of Jerusalem (1967) rather than it's formation in 1948. Just a lot of speculation all the way around.

God has this to say about your relationship with Jack Van Impe:

Mat 6:14 For if you forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;
Mat 6:15 but if you do not forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will not forgive yours.
Mat_7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat_7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

I like that he is pointing out that we can see the prophecies being fulfilled. I think anyone who says they know just exactly when, in what order, or how God will fulfill those prophecies are whistling Dixie.

I agree. I'm not sure why though. Some people just rub the wrong way. I know a lot of prophecy is coming true. I can see that myself. Maybe he focuses on it too much? I have heard him talking about Rick Warren and how he is trying to support a unification between Christianity and Islam. But, I have never seen anything that warren has said to support Van Impe's claims. I know Warren does talk with Muslims. Van Impe did lose his spot on another secular channel for saying stuff.
There is so much more to Jack Van Impe than just the few things being said about him.
He is not perfect, but this man has been around for many, many years and knows his
Bible by memorization. I know the things said about Warren & those issues Jack speaks
of can be backed up. You have to search because Jack is not only one who knows this is
a dangerous man. But, back to Jack being put off TBN, no, he was not asked to leave.
He was asked to NOT SPEAK OUT THE THINGS WE HEAR HIM TEACH. The things we are
speaking of now. Jack refused to NOT do what they wanted and he left them. This man
is really trying so hard to help everyone know Jesus is coming soon and what to watch for.
I, too, have issue with a certain thing he speaks of, but prefer to not say. We are wise not
to put any man on a pedestal but, we really need to see what strong men of God are saying
about these last days. And Yes... Hal Lindsay is excellent man to learn from.
Bless you for allowing me to respond on your post. God bless as we learn together..

Cute Red Tent.... You are so right. We do not know the time, except like Jesus said,
we will know by the signs of the times... so we look up as our redemption draws near.
Many do not want to change way of living to be acceptable for our soon coming Bridegroom.
We, as His Church ( Bride ) want to stay as clean as possible as He comes for those who
are without spot, blemish, or wrinkle. ( That doesn't refer to older people w/ wrinkle
as some would like to think ). God bless.

Brother Hoffco,

The passage about the fig tree in Mat 24 is so often misunderstood. The generation there isn't the generation that saw Israel reformed or the 1967 Six-Day war. It is simply the generation that sees the "signs" that Jesus spoke of.

32 "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near--at the doors!

34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.

The emphasis is on "all these things." not on the State of Israel or the fig tree. The fig tree reference could have been any tree. It is the SIGNS we are to watch for. Israel becoming a Nation again was a sign of the end times, but the part about "this generation passing away" deals with those who see all these signs such as the Gospel being Preached, the Abomination, the Tribulation, etc.
